The Campione of Marvel!

Alan Seong, a Korean-American high schooler with a deep obsession for mythology, was on a vacation in Egypt with his family when they suffered an accident. While exploring an ancient tomb in one of the pyramids, the entire place suddenly began to collapse. With no way out, they ran deeper into the place, being completely unaware of what awaited them in the depths. ------------------------ Don't expect much from the story, it is going to be a little bit all over the place at first. It will jump straight into the Battle for New York against the Chitauri and move forwards from there, but it will mix events and things won't happen exactly as in Canon MCU, which is the base for this fic. You can expect a few comic references and events too. D*I*S*C*O*R*D Link: https://discord.gg/wMFgz3nRvs

Prologue: Pandora and Marvel

[] Phone calls, telepathy, etc. Any form of non spoken conversation, basically.

--------------------

As soon as I stepped through the portal, I was greeted by an infinite white space. There, I saw a girl with lavender hair style in twintails that reached well bellow her waist. She looked young, even younger than I was. Still, for some reason I knew who this "girl" was.

"Pandora." I said as if in greeting. And I soon confirmed what I already knew.

"My child, it is good to finally meet you." Pandora said, a loving smile decorating her face. It was quite a weird sensation, talking to someone akin to a second mother without actually being related but still sharing blood. Alas, I felt familiar with her, so I wasn't uncomfortable or anything.

"Before you go on to your new life, do you want to ask anything?" She asked me. I had no actual question besides something that had been eating a little bit at my mind since I heard it.

"Why... me?" I asked with confusion apparent in both my words and face. I honestly didn't understand why me, of all people, happened to be the Campione of my generation. I was nothing but a regular seventeen year old kid. I was no hero, no warrior, no genius. Just a kid.

"It is exactly because of that, my child. I don't choose my Children based on their feats, nor on their capabilities, but on their qualities. You, my dear Alan, are fair, just, curious, courageous, empathetic, loving. And even if you are also capable of anger, fear, sometimes even pettiness, you are uncapable of being cruel, or evil. That is why I chose you from among all humans, because you are the only one with those qualities, which match so much with my husband and his brother." Pandora explained.

And when I heard it, I couldn't believe it. I didn't see so many qualities in myself, how could someone else? But I guessed then that one could never accurately judge oneself. And it was nice to hear such a high level compliment from the first woman to be created according to the Greeks.

"Well, it is now time to go, my child." I heard her say. And I knew she was right. I didn't want to waste even a second more. What I really wanted was to see my family once again.

"It was a pleasure meeting you and... thanks for the opportunity to see them again, Pandora. Give my regards to the gods... anyway, bye!" I said, a smile on my face as I thought of meeting my family once again.

"Bye, Alan. Have a pleasant journey." Pandora said calmly before sending me on my way through another portal.

It had been a strange meeting, but one where I could put my mind at ease over my worries and focus on what was to come. I now had a mission, a goal and I was going to the Marvel Universe, so many things could happen. I would be fighting Gods as their equal, so I had many things to worry about. And yet... what was this feeling of excitement? Why was I anticipating all the dangers that would come so much?

I couldn't help but grin at my own emotions. I was delighted I would be able to see my family again, I was excited I would be living a life of action, I was worried about the dangers to come... it all sent shivers through my entire body. Finally, I appeared in a place I recognized. Yet the set-up felt quite memorable in itself.

*3rd Person POV*

"... You take them to the basements or through the subway, you keep them off the streets. I need a perimeter as far back as 39th." Said non other than Steve Rogers, Captain America. He was currently standing on a police car and giving orders on how to procede to keep people safe.

"Why the hell should I take orders from you?" The policeman who seemed to be in charge asked, clearly not knowing who he was talking to or what kind of situation he was in.

Then a group of Chitauri came, two of them dropping on the car the Captain was. After seeing how he made quick work of them with his shield, the policeman quickly acquiesced the orders and began relaying them to his people.

"Stark, do you see many civilians on the street?" Captain asked Iron-Man through his comms.

[Almost non Cap, but there are...]

*With Iron-Man*

"... still some people trapped in a few places." Tony answered with a bit of worry and exhaustion.

[Please take care of them, I am currently protecting a group of civilians as they enter the subway.] Captain said, which made Iron-man sigh as he began descending towards the group of people who were hiding on a parking lot.

He quickly identified a group of Chitauri approaching the group of people, which promped him to hurry, yet he soon stood in place, a bit surprised. An asian kid, who seemed no older than seventeen or eighteen, dashed towards the closest Chitauri with a speed that a normal human shouldn't posses. Then, in a feat of technique and strength, he began beating the aliens.

Quickly kicking the first one with a flexibility that would put Natasha in shame, he took its weapon and used its body as a shield, shooting the rest while he moved towards them. When he was close enough, he threw the body on the one farthest and jumped on the one closest, breaking its neck. The sound of the bone being broken woke Tony from his stupor, and then he hurried to help.

*Alan POV*

As I broke the neck of a Chitauri, I saw a laser beam hitting one that was aiming at me. I knew that such a thing could only belong to Iron-man, so I didn't worry about who shot it. Taking advantage of the aid, I took the laser gun and shot another Chitauri. Seeing only one being left, I simply threw the gun at it, piercing its chest.

"Thanks for the help, Mr. Stark." I said, somehow keeping the admiration I felt for the man, or at least his future self, in check.

"That was pretty awesome kid, but don't do that again, ok?" He said, clearly thinking I was just a normal kid, or at least cheating himself into believing I was one. After all, I had clearly shown inhuman capabilities.

"Don't worry about me..." I said while focusing on the Authorities I had received from Horus. I could feel the fundamental change on my being, my connection to those powers and how to use them instinctively. Thus, I summoned my new armor, the Wings of Horus.

(Img. here, totally stolen from google.)

I could feel how I was being envolved by the energy around me, creating something similar to a cocoon of light. Just a second later, I came out of it in full suit. The armor looked medieval if compared to Thor's or Loki's, but I could feel its power and the pair of black wings now on my back. Plus the helmet could retract itself into the armor, so good point there. I also had a feeling that the armor could transform into anything I wanted, something to look into later.

"Are you some kind of Thor, kid?" Iron-Man asked me with an eyebrow raised.

"You could say so." I chuckled while softly levitating and wearing my helmet again. A double-bladed polearm with khopesh shaped blades appeared in my hand with a thought. This was Horus' main weapon, Featherfall –The Edge of the Sky.

"Well, another pair of hands is certainly welcome." Tony said, relieved to have another person on the team, ready to help. Then we escorted the group of people into the underground level of the parking.

"Now I guess we need to take care of those... Leviathans?" I said, trying to remember the name of the flying worms.

"Yeah... I hope Banner is already here, come, we'll take the party to them." Tony answered, recovering his humour as quickly as it left.

"I don't think anyone will like this party..." I said while flying towards the alien sausage with teeth. While at it, Iron-Man handed me a small in-ear, which I quickly put on then I heard the rest of The Avengers talking.

[Stark, we've got him.] Captain America informed Tony

[Banner?] Was the quickly received answer.

[Yeah.] The Captain said shortly.

[Well tell him to suit up. We're bringing the party to you guys.] Tony told the rest of the group.

Once we got close enough, I heard some of the most mytical lines which made fanboy internally, though I managed to keep my composure.

"I don't see how that's a party." Natasha Romanova said as she worriedly gazed at the Leviathan.

"See, I told you!" I quickly quipped at Tony, bringing the attention to me, the new guy nobody knows nothing about.

"And who are you?" The Cap' asked, clearly confused at my presence. Of course I didn't have time to introduce myself so...

"Stuff for later, Cap'. Got bigger worries in front of us." I answered simply yet hurriedly. I had no intentions of shying away from the team nor anything. If anything, I was going to make sure I had a friendly relationship with all of them.

"Right. Dr. Banner, now would be a really good time to get angry." And there it was, one of the most mythical moments of the MCU.

"That's my secret, Cap'. I'm always angry." Bruce Banner said as he transformed into The Hulk, stopping with just his fist the Leviathan flying at us. Tony took advange to shoot a missile at it, and I took the Captain's place in protecting the Black Widow from the explosion. Damned be my teenager hormones. We were surrounded by Chitauri, yelling and roaring at us, and we faced them in the mythical –I was saying mythical too much already– scene of the first "Avengers Assemble" moment. Then the Cap' began giving orders to everyone.

"...and Hulk... Smash. Now about you..." He said while looking at me. Of course, he didn't know what I could do, so he didn't know where to send me. Thus, I quickly made the decision for myself.

"I'll fight whatever survives Thor." I informed the Captain, quickly taking off toward the sky. It was an amazing feeling, flying. I was overcome with an excitement I couldn't even explain as I felt "my" wings flapping and the air giving way for me to pass. But soon, I arrived at the army of Chitauri right by the portal.

"Thor, you focus on the portal, I'll keep the area clean!" I yelled at Thor, who was zapping the hell out of the portal.

What followed was the canon movie, plus the added carnage I brough with Featherfall, until we reached the fated moment.

[I can shut the portal down!] We all heard Natasha's voice through the intercomms.

[Do it!] Was the Cap's quick order.

[No, wait!] Iron-Man said, having to explain that a nuke was coming. The idea was brilliant, get the nuke into the portal and blast the bastards on the other side, while saving New York at the same time. The only thing I had a problem with was Tony risking himself unnecessarily. After all, I wouldn't shut down in ourter space, thanks to my armor and Authority of the Sky.

"Mr. Stark, leave that to me, I am more suited for the task." I said before he could even think about it.

[What?! No, you're a kid!] He said, showing his more caring side. I felt kinda happy and kinda offended.

"My armor allows me to breath in space, so just leave me to it! You have a lot more chances of dying than I do!" I debated with him while explaining that I wouldn't shut down in space, unlike him. Without even waiting for an answer, I began flying at my top speed towards the nuke, reaching it in an instant.

[This is why I hate kids!] Tony said, seeing where I was, but sounding a lot less worried when he realized just how fast I was. In their eyes I probably teleported to the nuke so that reassured them a lot.

[Just make sure you come back alive... and what is that about him being a kid, Stark?] Steve told me and asked Iron-Man. I could hear Tony Stark swallowing at the threatening tone of the Cap', who sounded like an angry wife almost. It made me chuckle, but I had to focus on my current task.

Doing my best to match the nuke's speed down to the milliseconds, my body seemed to magically move exactly how I wanted. Thus, I was able to quickly make the nuke head straight into the portal, passing by the Stark Tower and by Natasha, who I made sure to wave to when I passed. Once gain, damned be my teenage hormones. As soon as I entered the portal, I let go of the nuke and made my way back quickly.

"I'm back on this side, close the damn portal, miss." I said, doing my best to not show I knew who she was, after all, the only people I should know about are Iron-Man, the Captain and Hulk. For now, it was for the better that nobody had an idea about how much I knew. I mean, knowing about the many world-ending threats in the universe wouldn't help them much.

It didn't take even a second for Natasha to close the portal, with me landing beside the Cap' and Iron-Man.

"Hey... we won, right? There's this shawarma joint two blocks from here, I don't know what it is but I want to try it." Tony said, clearly relaxed now that we had saved the city. Alas, we weren't actually done.

"We're not done yet" Thor said, looking just as tired as he could. To be honest, I was quite tired too. Physically I hadn't done much, though I had been fighting for around half an hour, that was nothing. But mentally, I was spent. From the events in my previous universe, to arriving in the middle of a war, to having to be focused on fighting, it was too much. And they all had some form of injury after a very long day.

"Loki." I said, a bit annoyed at having to deal with the God of Mischief. Perhaps I could strike a deal with Odin and take some of Loki's powers? Food for thought.

*

"... I think I'll take that drink." Loki said while looking at the group of angry people and one guy he didn't know looming over him. After that, we just knocked him out and tied him with a chain that Tony took out of... somewhere. To make sure he didn't escape, I reinforced them with a sealing spell. I basically took away Loki's magic.

"And I think I am up for that shawarma now." I said, making everyone look at me strangely.

"What?! I'm hungry!" I said, clearly not taking this as seriously as they thought I should

----------------

I wanted to get the Battle of New York out of the way as fast as I could. I just didn't want to spend SO much time on something that would develop just like in Canon MCU, bar the added character. I hope this was somewhat enjoyable anyway.

Now, some of you might be wondering how strong Alan is now that he has those powers. The answer is quite simple: somewhere close to Thor, but not quite there. I'll explain as best as I can. First point of comparison: Thor can fly at somewhere above Mach 32, so about 10,976 Kilometers per second, while Alan can reach –while flying– Mach 35, which is 12,005 Kilometers per second; without flight, with just their legpower, they can move around Quicksilver's speed, so about Mach 3/4 (around 1,029/1,372 Km/S). Now, on a physical fight... they are similar, but Thor would come on top on a purely brute strength kinda fight (I mean, it's Thor); technique wise, tough, Alan is above Thor. Yet Thor has his Lightning and Alan has his Magic which he hasn't used for battle yet, so you could say that the MC is above Thor in some aspects and below him in others. Some might think this is A LOT of power for the very beginning of the story, but if you think about the kind of threats the MC has to deal with, he is not that powerful. PD: I will forget most of this numbers if I don't write them down, which is why I did this.

By the way, I've made a D*I*S*C*O*R*D server so that you can talk with me about the story or just hang out and whatever. The link is in the comments! And the synopsys.
