Chapter 16 – David Penman

Third person POV

The next morning, after his usual morning routine, Kichi went to school for his classes. Upon arriving at school, Haru catches up with him. "Hey, Kichi-kun, morning!"

"Oh, morning, Haru-kun," Kichi greeted back.

"So, are you ready for today's classes?"

Kichi then nodded. "Yes."

When they reached their classroom, Haru opened the door for him while greeting everyone in the classroom, "Good morning!" He and Kichi then entered in and slide the door close. Then, one of the students, a blond-haired American named David Penman, stood up. "Oh, morning, dude."

"Uh, who are you?" Kichi asked him.

"Oh! This is my friend, David Penman," Haru explained while introducing. "He's from America."

Then to David. "David-kun, this is Kichi Vista-Sasaki."

"Nice to meet you," Kichi responded.

"Nice to meet you, too, Kichi," David replied back.

Seeing this, Catalina thinks that Kichi would be more popular than her, and became jeolous of him, adding a weight of jealousy on her pile of hatred towards him.

"Why are you mad at him, Cata-chan?" her friend, a fellow British girl named Cristy Wenworth, asked.

"This guy...I'm so irritated of him."

Upon looking at Kichi, Cristy was flustered at his coolness despite Kichi being ordinary on the outside.

Catalina then removed her sight at him by reading a book.

Kichi then sat next to David.

After that, David scooted to him. "Hey, dude, I heard that someone was being chased by Catalina, and he ended broke his arm. And that happened on the day of the entrance exam. Can you believe that?" Kichi was surprised to hear, knowing that it was him who had broken his arm. So, he just admitted that it was him, much to David's surprise.

 "Woah, it was actually you?"

"Yes," Kichi replied back calmly, "just because I outsmarted her in the entrance exam."

Upon hearing that, Catalina couldn't take it anymore so she stood up and marched towards Kichi. "Hey, you!"

Kichi, Haru, and David then looked at her.

"Meet me at the 6th classroom in the second floor after class," Catalina said to one of them.

That person would be Kichi.

"Wait, what?" David responded to this.

 "Why?" Haru added.

 "You'll see."

Catalina then proudly went back to her seat.

Because of this, the three boys are left wondering what she meant by that.
