Chapter 15 – First Friend

Third person POV

Back at the courtyard, the crowd cheered for Kichi's victory, but Kichi let go of his weapons and simply walked towards Haru in style, silencing the crowd. And then, Kichi bend over towards Haru and gave him a hand, asking if he was hurt.

"Get lost," Haru responded back rudely towards him as he endures the pain. "You won."

"No," Kichi insisted back, "I can't leave you behind injured. Come on, you need help."

Haru resisted at first, but since he couldn't get up on his own, he finally and reluctantly agreed to let Kichi help him, accepting Kichi's offer of a hand. Haru then hold onto Kichi's shoulder while standing up on one foot. The pair then left the scene as the crowd watches them from the distance, leaving their weapons behind. Meanwhile, Kiba left the group while putting his hands behind his back.

Later in the afternoon, Kichi and Haru are at Hayato's office, apologizing for the fight earlier.

"It's okay, you two," Hayato said to them briefly. "It was intentional, so there is nothing to worry about."

"Wait, what?" Kichi responded back in stunning and a bit of shock.

And then, Haru admitted that Kiba arranged the fight so he would win against Kichi. This confession didn't stun Kichi, who completely understood what Haru said to him.

"I see then, I…I understand you," Kichi said to Haru briefly and calmly.

"Thank you," Haru thanked him in response. This follows with a short silence.

"By the way, you two," Hayato said to them breaking the silence, "you forgot your weapons;" he then directed them to Ayato, who was holding their weapons. Ayato then walked up to Kichi and Haru and give the weapons to them. Receiving them, Kichi and Haru said thank you to him.

"You're welcome, you two," Ayato positively responded to them.

With that, Kichi left the office, opening and closing the door. But then, suddenly, Haru left the office, catching up to Kichi. "Wait!".

Hearing Haru's voice, Kichi stopped walking and turned around towards Haru. Haru then bowed his head and apologized to Kichi about what he had said back at the fight, including his accusation and fight towards Kichi for stopping the chaos back at the airport.

"It's okay," Kichi responded to him positively with coolness. "That was just nothing. I forgive you for doing that."

This response from Kichi causes Haru to get up from bowing and made a positive face towards Kichi.

"Thank you so much," he said to Kichi.

With that, Kichi is about to leave when Haru immediately said to him, "Wait!"

"What?" Kichi replied back to him.

"Would you mind if you and I become friends?" Haru asked.

In response to that, Kichi smiled back. "Sure, why not. I'm Kichi Vista-Sasaki. Nice to meet you."

He then offered Haru a handshake.

Accepting it back, Haru replied back, "I'm Haru Takao. Remember that, okay?"

"Sure, I will," replied Kichi back happily.

And so, a new friendship sprung up.

After that, they both discharged from handshaking and started walking back to their classroom together.
