Unknown Feelings

Lin's POV

When Mia mentioned Liam, I just lost control over myself. After punching the tree in anger I ran away as fast as I could. Tears were flowing out of my eyes. How could she mention him in front of me? I hate him. I just want to kill him.

He just wants to take Mia far away from me. Who is he to think that? This thought made me stop running. My whole body just froze. When I stopped running I had reached the Arena.

"Of course, he can think. He can. He is her mate. But Lin who are you to her? You are nothing but someone whose help she needs. Huh... You fool."

I told myself. Tears were continuously flowing down my face. I looked at the sky. The moon looked beautiful but this time its sight made me feel pain. Although the moon was beautiful it was out of my reach just like Mia.

Why? Why do I feel this? Why can't I see her with someone else? Why does the thought of her being with someone else make me feel pain? My heart aches when I see her sad.

Even if she is Mi still she wants to avoid me. Maybe Mi stood by my side just because she felt sad for me.

But in reality, she wants to hide from me. The pain in my chest was making me crazy. I transformed and ran to a corner of the Arena. I just wanted to hide. I am so shameful that she wants to stay away from but I am rushing toward her. I howled as loudly as I could to ease the pain but it didn't help.

I sensed Mia. I thought of running away but before I could move she ran towards me.

Her sight made me freeze in my place. I curled when she came near me.

There were tears. There were tears in her eyes. I felt more pain at the thought.

She touched my fur. It felt really good. For a while, I forgot the pain.

She asked me for my injured hand. I just didn't notice that my hand was injured. Unknowingly I sat straight and gave her my paw. Although I looked away. I was like if she was controlling me.

She covered my paw with her hands and after a while, it was healed.

Mia's scent was everywhere. I went close to her and slowly put my head on her lap. I knew that she would push me away but for a while I wanted her aura to embrace me. Unexpectedly she didn't push me.

I didn't know when I fell asleep. It was the most peaceful moment of my life.

I slowly opened my eyes. I sat straight because of the shock that the unknown surroundings gave me. I was laying on a luxurious bed in a luxurious big room.

"Where I am? As much as I remember I fell asleep while my head was in Mia's lap. Did she throw me here? Wait... "

There was a familiar aura. But there was no one visible in the room. Wait... The aura...

"Mia, I know you are here. Can you please come out?"

No one came. I slowly got up and began to look around. Then I went to the terrace there was something strange.

"Mia..."

She was trapped by some kind of light. Her eyes were closed. The lights formed a round bubble-like structure around her. I. tried to touch the bubble.

Although nothing happened I couldn't enter it.

Even my magic failed. I was really worried about Mia. For an instance, I thought that I might lose her. The thought of losing her was so painful.

I used my magic to break the bubbles but failed. I tried again and again. Nothing happened.

I fell to the ground.

Tears were flowing out of my eyes, "Mia, please come back."

I put both of my hands on my head. I cried a lot. I screamed for her to come but nothing happened.

"Mia, please don't do this. I have no one left who cares about me. I want to stay by your side even if I had to stay as a mere friend. Please..."

I kept begging.

After a while, the bubble began to shine brighter and disappeared. Mia who was inside the bubble was about to fall. I rushed to her. I. was able to prevent her from falling in time.

She was alright. Her pulse was normal. Her heartbeat and breath were also normal.

I hugged her tightly and took a deep breath of happiness.

"Mia, thanks a lot for coming back. Thanks a lot..."

"Why are you thanking me?", Mia asked.

I happily hugged her more tightly. She was alive.

"Hey, do you want to kill me by breaking all my bones? Don't you know how tightly you are hugging me?", she slightly hit me on my head.

I was so happy that I ignored her questions and laughed.

She forcefully pushed me away.

"Have you gone crazy? I am talking to you. You fool", she kept staring at me.

I laughed, "I am very happy. Mia, please let me stay by your side forever. Let me protect you even if as a friend."

Mia was giving me a questioning look. She came and put her hand on my forehead. Then she took my wrist and checked my pulse. I was happily staring at her as a fool.

"Your pulse is normal and your temperature is normal as well. Seriously, tell me why are you behaving like this?", she asked me while staring at me.

I laughed and took both of her hands, "I am fine. But please first answer me. Can I stay by your side forever and protect you even if it is as a friend?"

She smiled, "Of course, you had to stay by my side. As for protecting me then let's protect each other."

I smiled, "Done."

"Lin, let me tell you something. I know that you don't like Liam but I had no other choice. As for you, we will always stay best friends. In my life, there are few special people. You are one of them", she said with a sweet smile.

Her words made me happy.

She got from the floor, "Lin, I think I can't go to school today because it's already too late but you had to come with me. There is something serious to discuss."
