Chapter 14: Weapons True Abilities

Seth took his eyes off the wall and focused on the sphere in his hand. But as if came into view, it shattered and turned into motes of light. The motes of light then turned into a screen that said:

The user has absorbed the essence of an Alpha and has awakened the Divine Weapon System. Congratulations! The user had found these 7 powerful weapons, contracted all 7, used them for at least 50 years. and has absorbed the essence of an Alpha. Hard to do, right?

This is why you shall be rewarded. You are now able to use this system to surpass the limits of other Alphas and become a true deity, maybe. Each weapon had given you 1 or two abilities before but they contain even more powerful abilities within them. In fact, each weapon has 3 abilities sealed within them.

By absorbing the essence of unmatured or unawakened Alphas, the user will be able to unlock these abilities. But be warned, the user can only absorb up the number tattooed on their right hand. So try your best to get as many powerful or useful abilities as you can.

This system has 3 functions you can use. Weapon Status: will show you the abilities of the weapons that you currently have as well as the person you have blessed with those abilities. The user can give up to 3 abilities to a single person but can only give away a maximum of 5 abilities at once.

Ability Tree: This will show you all the abilities you can gain. It will show the abilities for each weapon as well as the tier that the ability is considered by the system. This is great for trying to understand future skillsets and see what abilities work best with others.

Last but most important, Ability Roulette. This is how the user will get abilities. The user will be unable to simply choose which abilities they want but will have to spin the will. The wheel is divided by tier so the user will not end up getting a low-tier ability on a high-tier wheel luckily for you.

And as a bonus for being able to unlock the system in under 5,000 years, 1,000 years, and 500 years, you shall be given 3 bonus spins. One for the low-tier, mid-tier, and high-tier each. Along with the ability you have absorbed, you shall have

2X High-Tier Spins

1X Mid-Tier Spin

1X Low-Tier Spin

The face that Seth was making was a mix of frustration, anger, and helplessness.

'So someone is watching me? By the time they had announced it to me that I completed their 'goal', they have been watching me for a couple of hundred years. And I am too weak to even be able to fight back against these beings. If they have been able to escape MY eyes for several hundred years, they are clearly more powerful than me.

So my only choices are to continue to entertain them or to throw away these weapons. But since they are obviously too valuable for me, I have no choice but to play along... for now.

But once I gain enough power, I swear I will slay these beings who have decided to spy on me. For now, though, let's check the abilities I already have cause I am curious about how I keep surviving death. Then I will check future abilities I can get and make a few spins.'

Seth opened up the menu and began to read through the weapons he thought he knew so well for the past 300 hundred years.

People able to receive powers: 3/3

Phantom Slaying Dagger: Jagged dagger that only a fool would use for combat. It is however very powerful and used for attacking illusions and ghosts.

High-Tier Ability: Anti-Psy/Soul: Cuts through illusions, telepathic abilities, or soul-based attack. Simply holding the weapon makes the user immune to Mid-tier and lower mental or soul attacks.

High-Tier Ability: Soul Transfer: As long as the user's soul is stable, the user is able to remain in soul form and enter other bodies to be temporary hosts

Toxicologist's Staff: A plain-looking brown, wooden staff that had been used by a master prisoner for most of their life. It carries the user's most powerful toxins.

Low-Tier Ability: The user is able to release powerful, liquid acid from any part of their body and are immune to it. User is also able to convert their bodily fluids into weaker, diluted forms of said acid.

Black Lotus Tonfas: Weapons carried by the most powerful martial artist who used them to take down the most powerful sects in the world.

Low-Tier Ability, Superior physique: The user gains a body that has reached the pinnacle of human limits as mastery over several martial arts styles.

Crystal Blade: A crystal sword-spear carried by a powerful commander and her family. She used this blade to protect her nation from enemies for many years before passing it down to the most powerful child of each generation until it was lost.

Low-Tier Ability, Energy Arrows: User can create and shoot arrows made up of energy

Devil's Blade: A sword forged in the deadliest pits of Hell before being used by a personal weapon by the devil himself to kill off an army of angels who dared to try an assault on Hell. The blade has been blessed by the blood of angels and also by the blood of demons as well giving it unique properties that are both holy and demonic

Mid-Tier Ability, Flame Manipulation: Users can create and manipulate a large amount of fire without much difficulty.

Low-Tier Ability, Basic Fire Immunity: The user is immune to the user's own fire and normal fire.

Dimensional Axe: Axe that has the power over space and time. Unknown origin and only one had used it in the past before they destroyed 3 planets with a single swing. They were then hunted down and killed while the weapon became lost.

Mid-Tier Ability, Blink: The user is capable of teleportation up to several thousand kilometers.

Mid-Tier Ability, Spatial Crush: The user is able to crush opponents with the very space around them. The more physically powerful the enemy, the better they can resist the pressure.

???: Two sharp discs that resemble chakram. These are thought to have been created and used by an alien species before falling to the earth. Their natural sharpness surpasses the other 6.

Mid Tier Ability, Recon Satellite: Summon tear-shaped satellites that excel at recon and stealth. Unable to be 'seen' when in stealth mode. User is able to see and hear through the satellites.
