The Dungeon. Part 2

Of course, I said that I would help, but I did not expect this in any way. Everything turned out to be somehow more complicated than I thought! Now I was standing in front of a giant rabbit twice my size! My staff was lying a few meters away from me. And I was covered in blood and could barely stand on my feet! But let's go back a bit...

 Some time ago

«Lianna, I will help you and try to save all your people and get rid of uninvited guests,» I said to Lienna!

«Thank you very much, wanderer!» she answered me, beaming with happiness.

And so, together with the fairy, we go somewhere deep into the forest! After a while, the terrain began to change dramatically. All the light and beauty of the environment began to change into pitch darkness with leafless trees, and a faint fog began to form around! And the strangest thing is that we didn't meet any monsters anymore!

After some more time, we reached an open area near a high mountain, in which there was an entrance to a cave from which darkness was blowing! When I saw this gloomy picture, goosebumps ran down my spine, and somewhere in the depths there was a strange feeling that did not bode well!

«Traveler, this is a den of bloody rabbits! There is a bloody mother in the very depths of the lair, but please be extremely careful, she is incredibly strong. And it is also guarded by bloody killer rabbits!» Lienna warned me.

«Thanks for the warning! I hope nothing terrible happens! I thanked the fairy and moved into the cave with a staff in my hands!"

Walking through the cave, we saw a terrible picture of gnawed corpses and bones of various animals lying all over the road! There were even bones of the rabbits themselves, which indicated that this species was also cannibals! What a terrible race!

After walking a few more meters, a flock of rabbits appeared in front of us, which immediately decided to attack us! I immediately concentrated and threw a fireball at them, so that some of the rabbits died, and the other part was injured and burned. Immediately after, a fast water blade flew out from behind my back, hitting the rest of the rabbits!

«Well done, Lienna, you helped me a lot» I thanked her!

As we walked through the cave, we began to meet rabbits more and more often and there were more of them with each meeting! It was good that they were all at about the same level of strength, so it was not so difficult to deal with them. 

In one of the corridors we were walking through, I found a strangely shaped sword! It was small in size, its blade was rounded in shape at the beginning, after which it narrowed to a point. There were small triangular points in the upper part of the sword.

«Lienna, do you know whose sword this is?» I asked her.

«Yes, this sword belonged to the goblins who used to live in this cave! But after the blood rabbits appeared in this forest, they destroyed the goblins and captured their cave!» The fairy said very sadly.

When Lienna told me about the sword and the story of the death of an entire race, I didn't feel anything. Most likely, this is due to the way goblins were represented in various games in my past world!

I decided to take the sword with me and use it for battles and better skill leveling! Still, I think that when using a real sword in training and in battle, the skill will swing much faster.

We have been wandering around this dungeon for quite a long time and we have already met a lot of rabbits, which the two of us coped with without much effort! And after a while we came out into an open area where I saw real monsters!

They were 2 times the size of standard rabbits, their fur was all stained with blood, and they had one huge horn on their head! They had bloodshot scarlet eyes and a mouth filled with teeth like blades! They themselves emitted a very gloomy and oppressive aura, which made my whole body shake with fear!

At that moment, they sensed us and turned sharply and stared with their terrible eyes! Then they rushed at us at an incredible speed! 

I couldn't move because of the fear that bound my body, I wanted to run without looking back. And only the launched water attack from the fairy and her scream could distract me.

«Wanderer, don't get distracted! Focus on winning and on yourself!» the fairy shouted at me!

Yes, she's right, it's not the time to give in to fears! Moreover, I won't be able to get out until I destroy the boss. I need to focus on the battle.

And then the real battle began. The rabbits attacked us without any respite, which made it impossible for me to focus properly on spells, and because of their speed, I couldn't keep up with them with a sword. And it was only thanks to the magic of the fairy that we were able to hurt them.

After a long battle, only one rabbit was left alive! While the fairy and I were almost exhausted and covered in wounds and blood! 

I asked the fairy to use water magic to delay him while I try to shoot a fireball at him, putting all the remaining magic into him. While I was feeding mana into the ball, the fairy cast the spell "Water bonds", so that the legs and body of the enemy were shrouded in very dense water that did not allow him to move.

"Traveler, I won't be able to hold him back for too long, he's very strong!" - said the fairy

«Okay, but I'm almost done!»

When I poured the remaining mana, I launched the ball directly into the rabbit's head, which made him scream. And also, when the fire came into contact with the water, a very hot steam formed, damaging the surface of the monster's body. In order to finish him off for sure, I decided to cut him with my sword with the last of my strength.

As soon as the body of the last monster was defeated, the fairy and I fell exhausted!

«Lienna, I think we should rest before going further, otherwise we will immediately die!» I said to the fairy, who just nodded her head at me.

Looking at the awards, I was shocked by what I received, especially from the second award! Since this is a banal cheat and my personal lifeline. Therefore, it should be used only in the most extreme cases when my life is hanging by a thread.

After a while, Lienna said that thanks to the moisture and water in the cave, she had fully recovered, so she could use magic and heal me! 

«Are you sure! You need strength too!» I asked the fairy.

"It's okay, I'll just need to replenish the energy from the water," she replied to me!

After she healed me and replenished my mana reserve, we moved on! After walking for a while, we came to another open space!

«You know, I'm already starting to get scared of open places, there's always something going on here!» I expressed my opinion before paying attention to the noise!

When I saw what was in the center of the room, I was horrified! There was a huge lump of fur covered with red bloody
