Chapter 26.2 : Small mishap

Even though Andropov's senses were the same as those of regular humans, the moment he walked into the office, he could still feel the smell of blood that had bread throughout, causing him to turn his attention to the person sitting in the middle of the office, who was currently drinking a red liquid from a very tiny cup.

Andropov took note of the size of the cup in the hands of Lady Diana, making him wonder whose blood she was currently drinking.

But Andropov was then broken out of his thoughts by Diana herself, who took her eyes off the computer in front of her and stared at Andropov.

"So, what went wrong this time that you have to come here and ask for my help?" asked Diana as she placed the small glass of blood next to a table and let out a small chuckle.

Even though Andropov felt beads of sweat when he heard the words of Lady Diana, he knew that the latter was right, as Andropov himself did not usually go to her unless something had gone wrong.

"For the past few days, our operations in Switzerland have been attacked by a sizeable group of environmental activists," said Andropov, causing Diana to touch her chin.

"Is there are reason why you couldn't just deal with them?" asked Diana as she looked at Andropov.

This question would determine if Andropov had come here because of unavoidable accident, or just because of his own incompetence.

Even though Diana already knew of Andropov's competency, as he was her left-hand man, she still, out of habit, asked such a question.

Of course, after all this time, Andropov had already become used to the quirks of Lady Diana

"Sadly, that is not possible, as after some research, I found that the environmental organization these guys are attached to has some ties to some high ranking officials in the Swiss government," said Andropov, causing Diana to slightly nod and begin thinking for a few moments.

At the same time, Diana picked up the glass of blood and finally emptied it.

"I see, I will deal with this, you can be on your way now," said Diana as she slowly but surely tapped her fingers onto the desk, making Andropov nod one last time.

"As you wish Lady Diana," said Andropov before quickly making his way out of the room, leaving Diana alone.

As she stared at the closed door in front of her, Diana couldn't help but suddenly open her mouth.

"Anastasia, what stage has the training of those five reached?" asked Diana as she turned her eyes back onto the monitor in front of her.

"Everything is going smoothly Lady Diana, the five have just reached the final stage of their training, and after that, they will be ready to be deployed," said a female voice which resounded from a corner of the room, causing Diana to faintly nod.

"That's good, dealing with an environmental organization should be a good way to test them," mumbled Diana with a faint smile on her face.

...

Two days later,

As he looked at the hundreds of protestors rallying outside the construction site, waving signs and shouting chants, Andropov couldn't help but feel his blood pressure rising.

Even though construction could continue on the outside without much interference, the operation itself couldn't do so, as it would quickly draw attention from the protestors if so much material was moved about.

This was the reason why Andropov was so angry, as honestly, Andropov didn't give a damn about some random hotel, rather, he was much more focused on the mission.

"Calm, since lady Diana said she would deal with things, you have nothing to worry about," mumbled Andropov as he closed his eyes and slightly relaxed, causing him to return to normal.

Seeing this, the two guards standing behind Andropov couldn't help but breathe a silent sigh of relief as well.

Even though Andropov was quite a good boss, seeing him so angry made the two guards quite tense as well, as they feared Andropov would turn his anger onto them.

Thankfully, though, it seemed as though Andropov had returned to normal, and was no longer so furious.

...

As he looked at the construction site, which could now continue working as planned without any obstruction, Andropov couldn't help but take a sip of his coffee.

Even though the activists and protestors were extremely active yesterday, today, they no longer come to disturb the mission with their little 'protest', which made Andropov feel extremely delighted.

At this moment, though, Andropov suddenly looked behind him, noticing that his other guard had arrived as well.

"Have you found any information?" asked Andropov as he looked at the guard with a mild look on his face, causing the latter to slightly relax.

The next words of the guard then made Andropov grin from ear to ear in happiness.

"Yesterday, the leaders of the Environmental Organization backing these protestors were arrested with several charges, ranging from tax evasion and bribery to blackmail and extortion," said the guard, causing Andropov's eyes to light up.

"Very good," mumbled Andropov as he then took another sip of his coffee with a smile on his face.

After all, even though Andropov was tired from dealing with the protestors, he still had to oversee the mission and make sure that nothing went wrong.

...

At the same time, inside of Russia.

As she looked at the five hooded figures who were kneeling in front of her with a hand on the ground, a faint smile couldn't help but appear on the face of Beatrice, who was now drinking blood out of a much larger glass.

But sadly, this was just the blood of some ordinary girl, not the blood of Jotaro, unlike yesterday.

"I have seen the report of your mission already, you have done a good job," said Diana, causing excited looks to appear on the faces of the five beneath their hoods.

"Sadly though, you will have to go back to your training, but do not worry, you will be able to complete more missions soon enough," said Diana, causing the five to calm down and return to normal.
