Chapter 324: Forest more than Sword

Saga went to remit the papers towards the principal's office. He was supposed to be happy that Ole seemed to have been drifting from Cherith but he was feeling guilty. It was like he did something unnecessary though he heared from Ole that because Cherit's relationship status is no longer the same.

Saga heared some breaking from their office. He recalls Urchin staying there to tiddy up. Saga went up and check but a dagger almost had his nose thankfully he avoided it by bending backward his bangs got snipped.

Saga grabbed the attacker's wrist and twisted it but he failed. The enemy kicked his knee as he got plunged sideways. His side hit the edge of the door. Saga groan in pain when Urchin fought the strange foe. Saga heared that Mem and Kish's death was because of a dagger. If the enemy was able to kill a knight and prophet, how much more a prince who is concealing his gift to avoid destroying the whole school. Saga encouraged himself and tried his best to help Urchin. He planned to recieve all the blow that are sent to Urchin. When the enemy threw the chair he blocked it.

When it pitched a vase and other hardwares Saga refuged Urchin. His head was bleeding and his body got wobbly from the hit he selfishly consumed. In the end he passed out.

Cherith pulled Ole's waist, he held her close till they reached the school. They found Urchin and Saga by the school principal's office. When the school incident got reported, Agsus parked their van outside the school gate. Cherith and Urchin carried Saga behind as Selah redied herself. She applied her ointment and herbs. She tended his skin deep wounds and cured Saga.

Ain waited for the kids to arrive. He can tell what the enemy was after. Since Mem and Kish are out of line they are planning to take down the crown prince but who are they? Ain paced back and forth as Fur and the triplets tended on the costumers. When their door swinged opened.

Ain found himself being recieving a dagger. It was thrown like an arrow. Ain looked around to see anyone suspicious among the costumer but found nothing. He checked on the dagger and he can till that it's one of the Earl's masterpiece.

The dagger was made of diamond and ore. The Earl's household had it's insignia curved on it.

"So we are not the only one who survived back then?" Ain muttured.

"Could it be a loyal merchants from the Earl?"

His question were buffering when Urchin came in to informe him about the incident.

Ain asked Cherith to called in Wifey, as much as he hate the woman, he had no choice but to rely with her. Kennan seemed to have been so busy to pick up his call.

Ain waited by the river side as he watched the people pass by the short wide bridge.

The woman appeared under the bridge as she wave at him. Ain approached and found Wifey gigling. He leaned in to smell some alcohol from her breath.

"So the mighty Ain has called me. I know what you want!" Wifey pointed.

Ain nodded as he tried to silence her loud mouth.

"You!!! You want my body right pervert!" Wifey yelled as it echoed from under the bridge the people walking up from their paused as they search for the source of the sound. Ain found it uncomfortable and he can't help but be irked. He knocked the woman down and reneted the same room rented by Cherith. It was the love hotel. Ain eat the chips he purchased as he wait for the woman to wake up.

Wifey opened her eyes to see Ain sitting beside her. She recalled how she humiliated her self and bowed before Ain.

"No need. Just tell me what you know about Mem and Kish's death." Ain directly stated.

"Well as Cherith told you that is all. I am not authorized to disclose any more information than that." Wifey argued.

"Then what price would you want?" Ain asked.

Wifey beamed and replied.

"Sleep with me."

Ain glared at the woman.

"Are you toying with me?"

"No, I am really asking you for it." Wifey stated.

"Why?" Ain asked.

"I need to give birth before the main shadow arrives." Wifey pointed.

"Why?" Ain repeated.

"Because i will soon vanish. I only have a short amount of time in here. I haved lived too long. When I intercede to protect Sage's son a span of my life was deducted. Now that he is with you then I thought it was fine but I yearn to live a life after me. I want a descendant that lives after my name." Wifey professed.

Ain stared at the woman. He can symphatise with this woman since he himself had no descendants.

"As much as the offer is enticing. It's a no. I don't get laid to donate my sperm." Ain stated.

"I don't voilate what is inside the container of marraige." Ain lectured.

Wifey giggled and said.

"I was kidding. I am a shadow, I don't have a womb nor physical form same as female human."

Ain glared at the woman and stated.

"You were testing me. Am I that unworthy of your trust?"

Wifey nodded as she eat some chips.

"Yes. I am suspicious of you as you are to me."

Saga opened his eyes and found the triplets hovering over his view. He recalled how he pathetically protected Urchin. When he sat up Ole and Urchin came to join and asked how he felt. Saga can feel how his intestines started rumbling. He is not hungry but his belly are on riot. He tried to use his palm to rub his stomach but he started to feel dizzy. He now understand how Kish and Mem were easily killed.

"There was poison on the dagger." Saga voiced out.

His sweat vaguely covered his body before resting again..
