C325: Love or Nothing

Ain knew that this woman is cunning but how can he missed the engrave from her robe's oranament.

"You are from that household?" Ain asked

Wifey hummed as she laughed.

"Yes. But the one you are supposed to get engage with was my sister." Wifey pointed.

Ain stared at the woman in confusion. He leaned down to trace the same signia that he rejected before.

"Are you here for revenge?" Ain inquired.

"No." Wifey stated as she got up and entered the bathroom the water covered the silence within the room.

His phone rang to recieve Saga's condition. Ain was about to leave the room when the back of his head got beaten. The last view he saw changed his life forever.

Wifey needed to pull out her plan. Ain was the perfect source of seed for an offspring. She maybe a shadow but Ain was the son of Evi. The manipulators of the shadow and whistle.

She observed Ain as she covered herself with the blanket. She teared up after performing what she needs to do. After doing all that she can, she clothed Ain like nothing happened.

Wifey left the room and concealed herself.

Ain opened his eyes to find himself alone within the room. He grit his teeth at how sly the woman is. He stood up not noticing or feeling anything. He thought that he just passed out. He walked and surrender the room key not really knowing what happened within the room. Ain arrived at their house and checked on Saga.

"The poison got tended but it spread to his body too much. The dagger only cut a tip of hair but it seemed to have an impact. Too little yet was noxious.

Urchin was informed about the dagger. He examined it and found it interesting. The killer might have a grudge to the throne is what Urchin thought. He watched as Saga's face got paler. His skin complexion got more whiter. He applied the lotion to moisten Saga's skin. Selah stated that the poison did not eneter his body but through the skin. The school days was silent but Saga remain asleep.

Cherith tried to reach out on Wifey but she was out of coverage. Cherith approached Ain and asked about Wifey but he just recieved some complaints against her.

"She toyed and tested me!"

"She even embarrassed me. She humiliated me."

"She sneaked behind me leaving me passed out."

Ain kept blurted out all arguments against Wifey. Cherith realised that he asked the wrong person.

Kennan was summoned by the council.

"We have identified the tribe of the murdurers. They are called the leapers hunter."

Kennan reviewed all the documents about the leapers hunter and was able to connect the dots. Kennan crumpled the paper in his afce as he punched the wall. Kennan vowed revenge to kill all those guys. He soon found out that Novena and Bethany's killer were not the Caretaker's hunter nor Evi. Before the said enemies found Bethany and Novena they were already stabbed by the Time Leapers Hunter.

Kennan recalled that their might be record to how many stab wound the two recieved. When he came across such file he figured out that Novena recieved twelve while Bethany recieved thirteen. If Mem was eight and Kish was seven then the next attack might fall on Urchin, Ain or the triplets. Kennan was about to cross over and inform Ain when the guards caught a new prisoner for him to interrogate.

Wifey opened her apartment as she ignored Cherith call. She needs to be far away, it's been a month since she tricked Ain, After testing positive and was confirmed pregnant. Wifey planned to hide the kid's existence to protect it. Wifey ride the train all the way to the remote town and rural area. She needs to get her life together. She decided to do it. Even if she will vanish the child will continue what she started. She rubbed her belly when she get down of the train. She bought a house here before. It was when she met Lehi and Ole at the orphanage. Lehi recommended this small cabin to her.

Wifey recalled how Lehi was her first human friend on this era. Wifey knew what was happening to El Oathniel but pretended not to know. She was drifting from one era to era while helping Lehi in her pregnancy. Wifey used to envy how Lehi joyfully speak about Ophir and the baby within the child.

Wifey even named called Ole, Lattice. When Lehi found out about Wifey's identity. She begged her to send her back after giving birth. Wifey had no choice but to do so, but Lehi returned wounded from the battle. Lehi interfered and tried to save Cyrus back then but the King kindly accepted his death and sealed Lehi back on this era with Kish and Ole.

When Lehi had used up all of her lifespan and was dying she left Ole with Kish and died in Wifey's hand. The villagers remembered her and welcomed her. Wifey entered the cabin and found all their things still within this small comfortable room. Wifey sat by the back of the door and muttured the word welcome home.

Truth to be told when Ain rejected the engagement with her sister Wifey was happy. She was long in love with Ain since they were at El Oathniel but her identity as a shadow forced her to work under Evi. She got manipulated by Evi in a way that she even brought death to Waheb. She was the one who slaughtered Ain's father. She was also the same shadow who killed Cyrus and brought Lehi's injury and shortened her life style. Wifey silently wept as he recalled the painful memories.

Ain felt a goosebumps running from his spine. He just knew someone was cursing him. His thoughts wonder at the dagger and at the ornament on Wifey's robe. He clicked his tongue when he recalled how his head got sneakily striked down the sly woman. Ain recollected a strange childhood memory of a shadow and himself playing behind their pond.
