As soon as morning arrived, Theo headed to the mausoleum to recruit his new units before going to sleep, as he had been unable to do so properly the night before and the night before that. His new units were a normal zombie and a skeleton warrior, nothing new or special, but they were still more units for his safety. After doing this, he laid down with Copper and finally managed to sleep without being disturbed by anyone. This, of course, was only possible because Amethyst stood in front of her house and prevented anyone or anything from bothering her lord.
When Theo woke up, it was after noon, and he was really rested and refreshed, but it was time to start working again. He then told Amethyst to give him a report of the attack with all the important information, which the murderous ghost did quickly and concisely.
"My lord, none of your units suffered irreparable damage, nor were there any deaths on our side. The property has already been destroyed, as well as his last will before withdrawing, the rewards in resources and everything else of value that was in the enemy base are already awaiting your inspection. Some warriors raised a level in this attack, but if I'm correct, nothing that could affect you, my lord." Amethyst said with a slight bow to Theo.
"Very well, continue taking all the warriors to level up at intervals so that the tree cutting does not run out of workers. Make sure everyone reaches at least level two in 7 days, that includes you." Theo ordered, making the ghost nod before leaving to carry out his orders.
After that, he checked the loot he obtained from the player's defeat, hundreds of resources, which wasn't much for him as he produced that number almost every day. There was also a new project, which he left to analyze later and focused on the energy stones that were scattered on the ground where wolf bodies were also found.
After collecting all the bodies and also the stones that were scattered around, the total was 30 energy stones, not much at a time when he needed 400 to upgrade his military building again. Even so, there were other uses that he could test with these stones, for example, placing one of them in the water well to see what the improvement would be, or even if there would be one.
Thinking hard about what to do, Theo decided that he would test two things at the moment, the first would be the well, and the second would be the wall. He was eager to know what the energy stones would do to these things and what changes and benefits they would bring. Right after eating something, he headed towards the well and then pulled up his information.
[Starting Well]
[Yields 2 liters of water per hour, maximum capacity is 100 liters.]
[Requirements for improvement: 100 Stones, 10 meters of Rope.]
[Maximum capacity improvement: 200 liters]
Theo didn't have the 10 meters of rope yet, but he had the stones in stock as well as an energy stone in his hand. He placed the energy stone on top of the well's edge and then chose to improve it, thinking he would receive a message of insufficient resources or a lack of rope. He was surprised when a light enveloped the well, and then it began to get a little wider, the crank with the rope where the bucket was attached disappeared, and the bucket reappeared on the edge of the well.
A few minutes later, the light disappeared, and Theo could see all the changes, the main one being that the water in the well now emitted a slight glow. Theo pulled the information before trying to drink this water, as he didn't know what it could do, but as soon as he saw the changes in the well's description, he was happy to have done this experiment.
[Intermediate Energy Well]
[Maximum capacity: 100 liters. Automatic Regeneration (whenever water is removed from the well, it will be replenished within a few hours). Purified Water: Increases the body's natural regeneration and reduces fatigue in both the body and mind. Ingredient for potion making.]
[Requirements for improvement: 200 Stones, 2 Energy Stones.]
[Maximum capacity improvement: 200 liters]
[Effects Improvement: 10%]
When Theo drank a sip of this water, a refreshing sensation passed through his entire body, his mind felt lighter, and his thoughts seemed faster. The pain he felt in his joints from all the sword training seemed to wash away, leaving him much more relaxed.
Theo would have to investigate the part about potions further, but he knew that with Alika's help they would discover something. He then headed towards the gate, and his steps seemed lighter now that the tiredness and pain in his joints had greatly eased.
When he reached the gates, he waved to his skeletons that he didn't intend to leave, and they didn't need to open it. Pulling up his information, he saw something that surprised him, even after doing something similar in the well.
[Outer Wall]
[Protects the camp from possible attacks. (No attack weaponry).]
[Requirements for Improvement]
— Defense Improvement: 500 Stones.
— Defense Improvement: Barrier: 8 Energy Stones.
— Attack Improvement: Archer Tower: 200 Stones.
Theo then decided to test the barrier, since it was the only option with energy stones, which was what he was testing now, but later he would, yes, do the archer towers. For better offensive capacity and defense against land and air attacks, in addition to the barrier that would be created now.
Removing 8 energy stones from his storage, he began the improvement, and then, as happened in the well, the light enveloped the entire camp wall. After a few minutes, the light disappeared, and then a barrier of light like the first that enveloped the novice territory appeared. Theo was impressed and pulled up the information to check how much this barrier would protect him.
[Outer Wall]
[Protects the camp from possible attacks. (No attack weapons). Barrier: Lifespan: 500 (Each attack will reduce the lifespan of the barrier, which can be restored with energy stones).]
[Requirements for Improvement]
— Defense Improvement: 500 Stones.
— Attack Improvement: Archer Tower: 200 Stones.
[Barrier Improvement: 8 Energy Stones.]
[Increases lifespan by 500.]
After doing these tests, Theo returned to his home and then decided to see what project he had won during the player defeat. Opening it, a huge smile appeared on his face, this was something he had wanted for a long time, but it wasn't on the list in the crafting section. A bathtub so he could take a shower and relax, that was all someone like him could ask for in this hell of a game of survival, rest and a hot shower.
He quickly gathered the resources needed for construction, then created one outside his house, some distance away from it. He decided that he shouldn't be the only one who could enjoy this, and so he made it in a place where he would create a covered cabin for everyone to enjoy. After the hot bath he created by asking Alika to heat the water with fire magic, Theo decided to call it a day and relax.
He lay down and read the messages in the regional chat, many people complaining that they had no food or water for their units, much less for themselves. Other people were complaining about the next disaster that was just 8 days away, but they were sure they couldn't survive if it was another wild beast attack.
Theo commented on his opinion about this for the first time, and said that he did not believe that there would be two identical disasters one after the other. And that this next one should be something new, maybe something weather-related or even things like earthquakes, or tsunamis for those on the coast.
This only served to make people even more nervous and desperate, they wanted protection without having to pay for it. He even saw young women selling their bodies for protection from those who had the strength to survive what was to come. If he wanted, Theo could have taken advantage of these women to bring them to him and then put them to work or transformed them into units.
After he saw some men calling these women to their camps, he thought that more people might have discovered that players could be turned into units. Still, he did not stop or send any warning to these people, they would have to learn in practice that one should not trust anyone when their life is at stake.
The next 7 days passed quickly, and Theo made some preparations for the next disaster, which included the archer towers and an upgrade to the barrier. And also an update to his house, adding a basement that had a good space where he and his subordinates could fit in case something managed to get into the camp.
He also recruited every day increasing his units by 14, 5 Warriors, 5 Archers, 2 Zombies, 2 Ghosts. All of his skeletons and zombies, as well as ghosts rose to level two, plus the experience he gained from hunting with them made him level up as well.

When the night of the 27th day arrived, Theo already had a hunch as to what disaster would occur after midnight. So he called his subordinates to the basement and let the skeletons stay in the mausoleum, except those in the watchtowers and the archers. The next disaster that would begin in a few hours would be a storm with lots of rain and perhaps winds and lightning. He and his subordinates would be protected from everything in the basement, making his decision to build it the best he could have made to defend himself from this disaster.
