While Theo was playing and taking care of the cub, outside the wall he had built, a battle was raging and as Amethyst said, the attackers had no chance of winning. Other than the lower levels, they were just normal animals, they didn't have any discipline or could even attack together as an army.
The skeletons were killing them easily, especially rangers who were in a higher position and couldn't be attacked, so their arrows kept falling on the enemies. In addition to the armed skeletons, there was also the high stone wall that was built by Theo not long ago, most other players wouldn't have one at that time.
Bones was the one who had the highest level among the skeleton warriors and was only helping the others for now so that they could level up and reach him. This was the order that Amethyst had given him in secret earlier. She wanted to ensure that everyone could fight against the other lord and emerge victorious, without any casualties on her side, as her lord had already shown concern about losing his units.
The fight went on for a long time, Bones started to fight seriously when more than half of the animals had already died to try to go up an extra level. But it was not possible in this attack with all the enemies being low level. But to their lord's delight, they would obtain many bodies from which he could collect resources, such as food, furs, and perhaps even those shiny stones.
Seeing that the fight was ending, he ordered the skeletons that were no longer fighting to carry the bodies inside, his lord had already designated a place to place the bodies of fighters or resources that were looted.
When Theo woke up the next morning, he noticed that the noise had stopped, so he asked Amethyst how the situation was. She quickly responded that her units won the battle and were already collecting the bodies and as soon as it was safe for him to leave, she would accompany him to the collection site.
After learning this, he washed and prepared himself, then fed Copper with fruits and water and then Amethyst called him to see his rewards from the battle. As soon as he left, Theo first headed to the mausoleum to do today's recruitment. And to his surprise, a new ghost was recruited.
[Ghost Scout]
[Level: 1 0/100]
[Skill: Track, Investigate]
[Skeleton Warrior]
[Level: 1 0/100]
[Skill: Fight]
The ghost positioned himself in front of Theo and made a slight bow, greeting his new master, who didn't seem to talk much. After that he left and went to the collection point on his land, but when he got there he was surprised by the number of corpses placed there.
After collecting, his inventory was more crowded than before, he smiled more with each space that was full and this was great for his growth, only with many resources could he grow quickly. Meat, skins, teeth, and tusks exceeded 100 units each, taking up two spaces in his inventory, and this gave him some new information about him.
Theo also gained two energy stones that came from two larger bodies, after questioning, he discovered that these were the strongest animals that attacked last night. But Bones took care of them one at a time, without having to do much work, he also discovered that some of his skeletons, warriors 3 and 4, rose to level 3 in addition to the ranger who rose to level 5.
At this moment, he decided to look at his own status.
[Level: 8 215/700]
[Class: None]
[Skill: Lumberjack, Fight]
HP: 150
MP: 0
Strength: 12 ~> 15
Defense: 12 ~> 15
Vitality: 12 ~> 15
Dexterity: 12 ~> 13
Charisma: 11 ~> 13
Luck: 5 (Cannot be changed by attribute points)
His skeletons were at levels 2, 3, 4 and ranger at level 5, being the strongest of all, the battle with the monkeys and now this attack from the beasts gained him a lot of experience, making him surpass his first recruit Bones. This attack was very timely, creating an opportunity to far surpass other players in terms of defense and resources.
Then Theo began to give his orders for the day, sending Amethyst to level up with her new scout ghost. He also sent Bones to cut down trees with his zombie, who as he imagined had gained the lumberjack skill, but not the profession. His skill were different from Theo's, he gained more speed when cutting trees and also gained a strength bonus for fighting with an axe.
The rest of the skeletons were ordered to hunt some live animals, Theo wanted to kill them on his own. As at some point he would have to do this, and it was better to be prepared to make that decision in seconds. He could also try to get Copper to kill some animals to see if he could level up and maybe gain some skills.
After doing all this, he got ready to roast his meat for breakfast, and with the help of his new friend he got a bucket full of water to drink during the day. Copper would also need water to drink from now on, so he couldn't run out of water or forget to drink it.
While eating, he decided to open the regional chat and see how the other players fared in this attack, but what he didn't expect was for the death toll to be so high. The number of chat participants was reduced by a third, it seemed that it had been worse than he imagined for those who had no protection.
Many messages in the chat were from players complaining that they were being attacked by furious beasts and their units were too weak to resist the attack. With many also regretting that they had not tried to fight sooner to gain levels. All the players who survived were protesting that the first disaster was only 7 days away, or that their units had all died in the attack.
Some of them were even saying that their home had been destroyed and that they only saved themselves by sacrificing all of their units.
