Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

The Death Sentence

"Murderer... MURDERER!" Dyna screamed out.

"SHUT THE HELL UP! You hurt my friend... you threatened them... you..." My anger was unfounded. As I spoke to Dyna, I found myself unable to explain anything. I was blinded by anger. This was out of character for me... yet I couldn't stop it.

Dyna stood up and slammed a pocket knife he carried around straight into my stomach.

"See... now it's self-defense. I'll be hailed as a Hero and promoted to A-Rank, isn't that crazy? I even killed the Prodigy." He whispered in my ear.

As I pulled out the knife lodged into my stomach and stuck it into Dyna's neck, I pushed him near the stairs, causing him to stumble over the railing.

I planted my foot into his chest and kicked him into the glass window behind him. It shattered instantly and he was thrown from the third story, landing on a fence located right outside of the dorm. It pierced his back and killed him instantly with blood spurting from his mouth.

The kids on the bottom floor started to scream as I'm sure they witnessed what happened to Dyna, and I was finally let go of the blind veil of anger that shrouded me.

"Illya... what did I do? Was it okay?" I asked her. I was worried she wouldn't trust me anymore, but she stood with a straight face.

"He was threatening your friends and didn't show any signs of stopping, was there any other thing to do?" She asked me.

"I could've... I don't know! This is bad, this is really bad! I'm stabbed too... will Gabrielle even heal me?!" I yelled to Illya.

"Don't worry, I can handle it," Illya told me. She lifted my shirt up and put both of her hands over the wound, sending the familiar strands I kept seeing into it and perfectly saving me.

"Sky, stop freaking out. You did what you had to do... don't feel upset about it. They were bullies, they've even bullied me, and you just saved MTG from the torture they would hand out to students... Richie was preparing to use his ability to hit you in the head and kill you there anyway. You didn't see it, but I did." She said.

"I just killed two people who could've been reported... this doesn't feel right," I said, holding my stomach.

"Sky, maybe sometimes, you need to kill people. Sometimes they don't obey, and they deserve to die for their insolence. They were bullies and should've long ago. It's fine." Illya told me.

"That feels like a villain's mindset... but I'm sure everything will be okay," I mumbled.

"Hey! What the hell happened here?!" I heard from Zach outside. There were people crying, but I knew there was no escaping this. I stood looking outside of the window from above and looked down at him.

"Sky, did you take down the attacker?! Where did he go?!" Zach yelled out to me. I shook my head, blocking my vision with sweat beading on my forehead and dripping down past my eyes.

"Attacker? I killed him. He broke Belle's arm and ruined her chances at MTG. He threatened to do it more and attacked me, so I murdered him. Both of them." I told Zach.

"You... you killed them...?" Zach paused, sending some guards from behind him up to me.

"I did," I told him.

"And... why? Why didn't you get help? This could've been solved if you just got me." Zach said to me again. The guards started to run up the stairs, and Illya stuck her head out of the window with me now.

"Because they weren't going to stop. People who are purposefully disobedient have no place in MTG. The teachers taught us that ditching those who have spent their lives is essential to staying alive yourself, we just applied those lessons outside of the classroom and used them accordingly." Illya explained.

Illya... that was the smartest possible thing to say... just who are you...?

The guards took both Illya and me into custody and brought us down the building in front of Zach.

"Who killed who? What happened here?" Zach demanded answers from the two of us. This was the angriest I've ever seen him... this was a scary situation, I felt chills run up my body as I was being scolded.

"I caved in Richie's skull against a pillar in there and Sky retaliated with self-defense against Dyna if you want the truth," Illya stated. She was taking the blame? Why was she doing that?

"No, I did it all. It was me." I explained to her again.

"No, it's fine Sky. I understand I would get the harsher punishment because I murdered Richie, but you don't have to lie to him. Just tell him what happened."

"You two are going to spend the rest of the day in custody and your relatives will be notified... Sky, I grew up with your mother and father, and you should know that the two of them are going to be extremely disappointed in you. You were raised properly and never had a dull moment in your judgment, so why now? Why would you murder your own classmates?" Zach asked me.

"Because... because I hate them. They hurt my friend... I hate that... will Belle be able to continue her time in MTG?" I asked him.

"Don't worry about her, I'm talking about your right now." He said again with an even more threatening tone now.

"I don't care about me. My friend, Belle was a nice girl, tell me she'll be able to continue here! HEY! ANSWER ME!" I began to yell as Zach started to walk away.

"Sky Asterio, you will be exiled into Rubeki territory until further notice. Your friend Illya will receive her punishment when the time is right." Zach said.

"Huh... exiled into Rubeki territory? Isn't that..." I muttered under my breath as Zach continued.

"Yes. That is a Death Sentence for you." He finished.
