"No one could get convinced by this. After all there are still many proofs of your abusive nature and drug addictions." Liam stammered as sweat beads started to form on his forehead.
"Oh! Are you talking about these photoshopped pictures?" Elysia asked innocently as she pointed to some pictures on the laptop screen.
All the pictures that Liam and Kiara provided to prove her wrong, had been presented there.
Beside each morphed pictures, the actual one was also attached so that they could see the difference between them.
Elysia then showed a list of call logs on the screen which had three numbers on it. Two were of Liam and Kiara whereas the other one was an unknown number.
She then opened another file which had the details about the person whose number was in the call list.
He was a young man who was famous for morphing pictures in very professional way.
Now all the colours from both of their faces had faded away. They became extremely pale as they shared a scared look to each other.
Elysia was enjoying the terrified look on their faces. And she thought that it was enough of wasting her precious time, so she finally came to the last point.
"You thought you guys are the only one who can do acting, right? But don't forget that I've won the best actress awards for countless of times in the past few years.." Elysia said, inspecting her nails.
Kiara who hadn't talked much after Elysia started talking, finally raised her voice, "What do you mean?"
Elysia completely avoided her and glanced at Ivan who was standing there with aloofness.
Ivan felt someone's gaze on him and when he saw that it was none other than Elysia, he arched his brows to her.
Shaking her head, Elysia glared at the two idiots and said, "Everyone present here saw that the drug had fallen from my purse..
But what if the drugs were being put into my purse without my knowledge!"
"What? But how can that be possible?" One of the journalists asked.
"Well, everything can be possible when someone wants to destroy my career in jealousy." Elysia stated as she kept glaring at Kiara and Liam who gulped visibly in fear.
Elysia then opened a new folder which had only one video file.
As soon as she played the video, everyone's jaw dropped in disbelief as they looked at Liam and Kiara accusingly.
The video had three parts. The first one was captured in the backstage...
In the first part, Liam was ordering the crew member to put the drugs in her purse while Kiara was giving him a bundle of money.
Second part showed the crew person to have a talk with the couple when the award function was going on.
Last but not the least, the biggest proof came out like a thunderbolt to everyone when they saw the same crew member was putting the drugs in her purse secretly.
Finally, the video ended and Elysia looked at the two people sternly who had tried to wrongly accuse her.
Folding her hands under her chest, she asked in a cold voice, "Do you have anything more to say, my dear ex-boyfriend Liam and teammate Kiara?"
Tears started to pool out of Kiara's eyes whereas Liam stood there still completely baffled with the unexpected exposure of their complete plan.
"What? Now cat got your tongue? You guys were speaking too much just few minutes ago.. Then what happened to you guys now?
Why aren't you guys talking anymore now? Come on guys.. I want to hear your new story which you are going to make at your defense.
Who knows if I like the new script of yours, I might ask Ivan to help you to become a famous script writer." Adam who was silent till now, suddenly spoke up.
