Good at pretending...

"Seems like, you watch my every single interviews keenly, Mr. Ivan Moore…!!! I never knew that you're so much interested in my personal matters.." Elysia said with a teasing smile.

Ivan scoffed at her and retorted back, "Don't think too high of yourself and tell me what you're planning exactly in your little mind."

Inhaling a sharp breath, Elysia said, "What's the fun to play the game if it is empty like a white sheet? I'll let them do whatever they want for now...

Once they would almost achieve their goals, I'll bring them down from there. Both of them are from your agency, so I hope you won't have any problem if I show them their true place."

Ivan kept his silence for few minutes which led Elysia to have negative thoughts but it disappeared at the exact moment when Ivan opened his mouth...

"I have always supported the truth and I'll do the same now too. Although I hate you with all my guts but still, I can never go against my morals just to prove my hatred for you." Ivan said with a straight face.

"Seriously Ivan!! I don't know why do you hate me so much but let me tell you one thing, even your monotonous words can't stop me from ruining them." Elysia professed through her gritted teeth.

Ivan just chuckled at her humorlessly and mocked her, "Obviously you can do that very well. After all, you're the best at ruining people's life."

Elysia snapped her head immediately towards him as she asked in confusion, "What do you exactly mean to say by this?"

"Now that I see, you're also good at pretending. You're behaving like you don't know what happened two years ago." Ivan punched the table so heard that few files fell from it and scattered on the floor.

Elysia jerked a little bit with the sudden force Ivan applied.

Moments later, she played the words Reuben just said in her mind and blood rushed through her veins in rage.

"Ivan Moore.. I always stay quite that doesn't mean that you can throw any kind of allegation on me..

And what the hell had happened two years ago, for which your blaming me now?" Elysia too burst out in anger as she stood up abruptly.

Before Ivan could say anything more which could trigger her anger to the fullest, Elysia just left from there, giving a final glare to him.

Ivan too threw daggers through his eyes, making a deep hole at her back...

When Elysia was finally out of his sight, Ivan kicked the desk and cursed loudly, "Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Elysia's apartment…

*baam*

Elysia closed her apartment door with full force and walked inside huffing in anger over Ivan.

She entered the kitchen and took out a bottle and drank half of the water in one long sip..

"That freaking bastard! How dare he blame me for every single thing which I'm not even aware about…

Whenever I see his rotten face, I just want to chop it off in micro pieces." Elysia muttered to herself in exasperation.

She was still breathing heavily as she had literally stormed inside her apartment by running like a cheetah when her phone rang.

Walking back in the living room, she picked up the call and greeted, "Hey Mom.."

"Ely, my child.. What I'm watching in the news today?" Mrs. Laura Davies asked from the other said.

It was not difficult for Elysia to decipher the panicky tone in her mother's voice.

She knew that both of her parents will be upset when they would see the news and she needed to be patient to console them.

"Mom… please don't get hyper. If Dad is also present there then please keep the phone on speaker." Elysia spoke calmly on the phone.

"Yeah.. he's also here. It's on speaker now. And your father too is eagerly waiting to hear everything from your mouth." Laura said.

"Honey.. Please calm down. Let our daughter speak first."

Elysia heard her father's soothing voice which was enough to make both mother and daughter relaxed.

"Yes Mom. You need to cool yourself down first before I start to confess everything to you." Elysia said.

Few minutes later, when Elysia understood that her mother was now all good to get the big twist about the whole Kiara and Liam things, she sighed.

"Dad.. Mom.. Before saying anything, I want both of you to have faith in me. Will you?" Elysia asked although she knew that her parents trusted her blindly.
