Chapter 14. Special Relations

By mistake, Professor Willy heard about the conversation between Leon

and the headmaster.

He was surprised to learn about the fight going on between the two.

The professor is top-rated in the university and is well-known in Oregon.

He is the rector of the university where Leon is currently studying. He

promptly acted without hesitation.

Before Leon used his real power, the headmaster received a sudden call

from the rector.

The headmaster's expression turned grave when he took the call.

'Yes, Sir, I understand. Thank you."

After the call ended, he gave Leon a respectful look.

He didn't understand how the matter reached the rector's ears.

Even though Leon achieved so much, there is no actual reason for that.

But when Leon was about to act, the campus suddenly intervened.

The headmaster shrunk in his seat.

He was about to explode in anger, but there was nothing he could do.

After getting the headmaster's signature, Leon was left confused.

"How did that happen? Who gave the call?" he asked himself. As he was walking downstairs, he saw Professor Willy standing by the

door, smiling at him.

Leon realized what was going on and asked, "Why would you help me,

Professor?"

"Leon, right now you are a student. But soon we'll all be on the same

level and have to help each other." the professor answered wisely with a

smile.

Leon nodded. "I understand, Professor."

"One more thing, Leon. I heard you were put on a blacklist. Don't worry!

Once you graduate, you can work at my institute. I recognize your talent

in traditional Chinese medicine. That would be excellent."

Professor Willy is enthusiastic about getting Leon to join his team of

researchers. For Leon, though, the knowledge he has is way above them.

"Alright Professor, I will consider it," Leon replied curtly.

The professor is surprised by the answer he received. He scrunched his

forehead; his research institute is very well-known. He didn't expect

Leon to not immediately accept his offer.

"Leon, you know a lot of students wanted to join my institute, but I am

yet to accept them. And you are the first student I asked in person.". He

tried to reassure Leon.

"Yes Professor, I understand," Leon answered softly.

"So, would you agree to join?"

"I'm sorry, Professor. I'll let you know in three days," Leon said calmly. All the students tried to secure a place within the institute; Leon's

reaction was very unexpected.

At first, Madam Liana made the Lotus Flower guild, which includes

masters of traditional Chinese medicine. Experts who were initially in

hiding came to join the guild and famous traditional healers and doctors.

The guild came to be known as the gathering of godly physicians.

With his abilities, Leon could defeat those physicians and maintain the

guild's reputation. He is well-known and respected within the guild.

What more is he after?

Leon realized he no longer needs to belong in such organizations

anymore. He turned his back and left. The professor looked on in

uncertainty.

He didn't want to let go of the talented young man. He wondered to

himself, "He is a genius, although slightly arrogant. What is he

thinking?"

Leon moved into his villa at Mount Muare. He leaves for the university

in the mornings and comes back at night as usual.

During his free time, Leon pondered about tomorrow's agenda. Since he

just took over one of Oregon's most prominent five-star hotels, he will

attend a meeting with the hotel's shareholders. Adjustments will have to

be made.

"I'm yet to know all the assets the hotel might have left. But I don't have

to worry. The Wijaya family has so many assets I lost count."Leon

muttered to himself.

That is not wrong. The Wijaya family holds control over retail, food,

property, and transportation businesses. Two hours have passed. Leon received a call from Ezra.

"Hello Director, how is it? I don't want to work in the mortuary."

The morgue was freezing cold; he could not do it. It feels as if he is in the

frozen storage for raw meat.

His job involves only moving bodies in and out of the morgue. How

boring.

"Leon, come to the hospital. Mr Indra is looking for you."

Leon knew the person he mentioned. It seems the Director pays him

immense respect.

Ezra is also curious if Leon really could save lives.

If that is true, it is a great ability that he shouldn't let go of.

To the hospital's advantage, getting blacklisted from the industrial world

won't do much.

Leon was obliged to show up. Well… take it as a night walk.

At the Royal Taruma Hospital, Sucyanti talks to Dr Iskandar, a heart

surgeon.

"Dr Iskandar, thank you very much for your help. A few days ago,

grandpa and I were busy looking for homes, so we didn't get to see you.

Now that grandpa is doing well, we want to express our gratitude."

Sucyanti handed him a parcel, which he accepted with slight hesitation. "Miss Sucyanti, it is my duty to take care of the sick and save lives with

whatever it takes. Previously, an interning doctor made a mistake and

he's been rotated to the morgue. Thankfully, I came on time."

What Iskandar said was mostly lies.

Sucyanti nodded. Suddenly her beautiful eyes became filled with anger,

"Is he the man named Leon?"

"True, Leon. He is very incompetent, and he will not come again."

In reality, Iskandar had no problems with Leon. He only wants to take

advantage of the situation.

Sucyanti didn't know the truth. Indra became even more perplexed; to

him, Leon is his savior.

"Doctor, please accept this," Sucyanti handed the doctor a red envelope.

Iskandar happily received it. "Thank you for your generosity, Miss."

Suddenly, Leon appeared and saw what was going on.

Iskandar was surprised and hurriedly stuffed the red envelope into his

pocket.

"Leon, why are you still here? You almost caused harm to a patient.

Wait for your punishment!"

Sucyanti came forward with fiery eyes.

"So… you are the one named Leon? You almost killed my grandfather?" Leon was confused at what he heard. What did he do? Was it wrong to

save the man's life? He found the same anger in Iskandar's eyes.

Leon stayed calm and answered, "Still young."

He calmly examined the whole room. Only Sucyanti and Dr Iskandar are

in the room.

"You're not anywhere older than I am. Don't try pulling tricks on me."

Sucyanti shouted.

"Look carefully for the real evil. Don't easily trust a liar," said Leon.

Without waiting for Sucyanti's response, Iskandar was already fuming.

"What do you mean? You are clearly in the wrong! Leon, you are

expelled from this hospital.

"No problem. I had no plans of joining this hospital either." Leon said

snappily.

"You arrogant kid! This is the best hospital in Oregon. Interns are

fighting for a spot here. How dare you say that!"

After Iskandar said that, Ezra appeared. He is the hospital director.

"Leon, here you are. Follow me to my office. I need to have a word with

you."

Ezra reached for Leon's hand enthusiastically as if they were close

friends.

Iskandar's expression froze.

Does Ezra have a particular relation to Leon? Perhaps family? Or else?
