Invasion - 1

Boooom!!!!!!

A huge explosion happened in a city that destroyed almost half of the buildings, bridges, and towers that were in the city.

"Quickly get the medics, we don't have time. The monsters are pouring in heavily." shouted a bloodied soldier at the top of his lungs.

"Quick, Quick, Quick."

"Save the civilians there."

"Come here toooo!"

Amidst the broken down, collapsed buildings, soldiers' cries could be heard everywhere. Creating an extremely chaotic scene.

Still, it didn't stop the armed soldiers, tanks, military vehicles, and fighter jets from pouring into the explosion site.

On a military convoy, a middle-aged general was sitting opposite a woman who was from the logicist team. The general asked in a grave tone. "Did you find out where these monsters are coming from?"

Thruk.

The convoy jumped a little from the fallen debris, which made the papers in the woman's hands float a little, but luckily she saved them in nick of time.

Sighing in relief, the woman said. "No sir. However, we are able to see a clear picture of how they came into this world."

She passed some papers in her hand to the general, and the general looked into them. While the woman started explaining. "Before the start of the event, we didn't find any sign of it happening. So this event, or I should call it a disaster, has now caught us off guard."

The general skimmed through the papers, and suddenly he caught a piece of paper that had pictures of hideous-looking monsters running and roaring around, destroying anything in their path and killing people mercilessly.

"Those are the monsters that are responsible for all of this. The way they came in was through a portal, which we can assume. You can see it behind those monsters." The woman explained calmly.

The general saw a red portal behind those monsters, and from the pictures, it seemed like they were constantly coming from it. With sweat dripping from his brow, he inquired."Do we have a way to shut that portal down?"

"Unfortunately, no, sir," the woman said in a heavy voice. "But we are still trying to find a way."

"We have to find it fast, or we can't stop this nightmare." The general wiped the sweat from his forehead and asked. "So how is the mission going? Are these things easy to kill?"

"Sir, I'm sorry to give you bad news. These things are not that easy to kill," The woman gave me another piece of paper that showed the stats of the killable monsters. "Our soldiers are trying to kill them with everything in our arsenal. Guns, rifles, heavy machine guns, bombs, tanks, missiles, jets everything we have, we tried."

While listening to the woman's report, the general looked at the stats, and he started to sweat heavily. "How is this impossible!? If it is true, we can't win!"

"Yes, sir. We cannot." The woman said this with her head lowered. "We were just able to kill a couple of them with everything we have. And from the analysis, we have categorized them." She gave a couple of pieces of paper to the general again.

"Right now, we have monsters ranked from Level 1 to Level 3.The Level-1 monsters are mostly 2 meters tall and possess strength greater than the strongest human on earth. It is killable only with rifles, snipers, and machine guns."

"Level-2 monsters are a maximum of 7 to 8 meters tall, and they possess enough strength to demolish twenty-story buildings easily; also, a platoon of fully armed special forces is nothing to them. We could only kill them with the help of bombs, missiles, and tanks."

"And last but not least, we have Level-3 monsters that are 12 to 13 meters tall and possess strength that we can't measure correctly. Also, we can't kill any of them, we are currently just able to immobilize them by finding their weaknesses.

The woman gave a helpless smile after explaining all of this. "There are also many strong monsters and creatures that we still don't know how to categorize them."

The general said it with a grave face. "So all of this basically implies we have to resort to nuclear weapons."

"Sadly, yes." As if this were the only thing left, the woman said.

"But we cannot do that. We do not know if nuking would kill all of them. Also even if it kills them, they will keep coming through the portal. You know the after-effects of using nuclear weapons." The general leaned back in his seat and looked up; giving a deep sigh.

Screech.

"Sir, we have arrived." The driver's voice came from the front.

As the general and the woman opened the door, they witnessed a scene straight from hell.

Many soldiers and tanks are coming from all sides. They were pouring into red flames that looked like a moth flying into the fire. The monsters on the frontier killed everything and everyone in an utter frenzy.

Still, the soldiers didn't stop. They rushed forward in order to stop all these monsters. They understand that if they fail, their family back home will no longer be happy.

However, their struggle became futile every second, nothing can kill them. Bullets can't kill them all, bombs can't kill them all, missiles can't kill them all, and tanks can't kill them. They also can't have air superiority because there are also monsters that can fly.

"Oh, Great Lord!" The general could only say this as he came down from the convoy. He can't comprehend what this could escalate to.

"Sir, Lieutenant Wisky reporting." A twenty-three-year-old man came and saluted the general.

General just said that."How is it going, lieutenant?"

Wisky struggled a little, but eventually he spoke up. "Sir, I have a small request."

The general looked at this young lieutenant's face and asked. "What is it?"

Wisky stared straight into the general's eyes and asked with a firm resolution."Sir, you have to promise you will agree to my request, for the sake of everyone."

The general looked into Wisky's eyes and thought for a bit. Seeing this young man's resolve, he said."I promise."

"Sir," Wisky shouted loud and clearly, as if he wanted to get something out that was stuck in his chest. "If we can't win, I want you to report to headquarters and nuke this whole place up!!"
