Steal my Boy

When Beomgyu got abducted, everyone and their mother were in total panic. The whole city did a search and rescue for a whole week with countless volunteers yet no one ever found even the slightest trace of him. Choi Beomgyu is a 21 year old campus crush who have been within minds at least once by any type of gender in the Capital’s largest Conservatory. Tall, honey-skinned and extremely handsome, this extroverted yet hopelessly romantic and funny individual is the talk of the town ever since he transferred to the Music school after losing interest on the course his parents wanted for him. Everything went smooth for a while, until he attracted the attention of the person who will make him question his life’s decision. Note: Only the main characters descriptions are made to be realistic but the plot, events, places etc. are all fiction. The story would look confusing at first but I’ll reveal answers as chapters go by. Thank you for your patience.

Beomgyu's pov

"That's not true." She insisted and dropped a bomb on me like it's nothing. "I really love you Beomgyu."

I was speechless for a minute because all the things I initially wanted to say was crushed by those words alone and left nothing behind. However, I eventually composed myself and told her what is needed to be said.

"Don't take me for a fool." I bit my lower lip to avoid cursing straight away. "I knew about the arrangement your father proposed to my dad because he's dying."

Her eyes widened and that's more than enough proof she knows what I'm talking about. "I just want to tell you that's the reason why I left so please stop stalking me wherever I go."

"I… see." Cass said softly as her throat bobbed up and down. Now that I busted her real intentions on saving my ass, I hope the message is sent loud and clear.

"You don't have to stay here because no matter what happens to me was never your responsibility."

"Actually it is."

My right eyebrow raised at her bold statement.

"At least for the time being." She slowly walked towards the wide glass windows and pulled the pastel pink curtain to block the sun's rays from hitting my face.

I appreciate the thoughtfulness every now and then but to prevent letting my guard down, I couldn't thank her for the littlest things she does for my sake.

The terrible shock I received from knowing the truth recently has gotten my heart broken so badly, there's no mending it unless time really heals all wounds.

"Do you really think I'll change my mind if you force yourself to me?" I sighed in annoyance. "The amount of lies you made me believe since we were young is too big to ignore."

"I never lied to you." She said straight into my eyes yet even that is worth doubting for since she's well trained to be a master of deceit.

"That's funny." I laughed to hide my disappointment. "Befriending me in grade school to gain my trust-"

"That's not my intention-"

"…so that once we reach appropriate age, you can continue to live comfortably by marrying an heir of an empire your family has worked for who knows how long, doing shady biddings and whatnot like my egomaniac dad's bitch."

"My dad helped build that empire of yours since a decade ago with his blood, sweat and bullets ever since your father inherited the position to lead a syndicate your ancestors made."

She finally showed her true colors even though her voice is still a bit in control. I swallowed a lump in my throat hearing the same thing again, along with additional information.

"… your father wanted us to get married because he knows that's the only way he can keep controlling us once my dad dies from his head injury last year, masking it with fake concerns on his children. Which by the way happened because he saved his life in an ambush."

Tears raced down her cheeks and her nose went bright red. I felt bad for being rude but there's no other way.

"I honestly don't give a fuck about your wealth. I'm just contented watching you play the guitar and compose beautiful music that people can relate to. I was simply happy whenever I'm with you."

She smiled bitterly. I also wanted to say those moments we shared in the past was all genuine from my side as well but she continued to open up so I kept my mouth shut.

"… I thought the feeling was mutual so I had no problem getting married to you even if my older brother is against the idea."

Cass immediately wiped her face dry and took a deep breath. I almost regretted bringing this topic upon seeing her rare display of human emotions, however, in a split second she changed back to her usual aloof personality which drives me crazy.

"No worries. You don't have to stress yourself about that anymore."

I frowned at her. "What do you mean?"

She looked away and continued, "I'll call the wedding off as soon as your parents come back here so there's no need to act like a runaway groom at the wedding day and get yourself killed by my brother for embarrassing me in front of everyone."

To be continued…
