Chapter 31

Hello mom, did you know that one day I would be wearing a bunch of curved pipes and trying to fly with it? Pyrrha thought as Ruby strapped her into a 'prototype' of her armor. Frankly it was just a set of pipes that were only a step above being held together by duct tape. Apparently she needed her lab to get to work and Yang would only be free on the weekend to help her get it to Vale. For now she only wanted Pyrrha to try to get off the ground.

"I don't know how to control your semblance so just try to like…rise in the air or something." Ruby fumbled with her explanation.

Pyrrha closed her eyes and focused on the contraption stuck to her. Compared to controlling the trigger several meters away from her it was rather easy. The most important part was the ribcage thingie over her torso. The parts that were attached to her limbs weren't that important right now.

She felt herself slowly take off from the floor.

"Just like that, nice and steady." Ruby encouraged her. "Ehm, Pyrrha, maybe you should open your eyes?"

"...Oops." In hindsight, I should have noticed when it was pushing into my shoulders and not my thighs. "I'll fix it!" Pyrrha called out and started trying to rotate herself back to an upright position. She overshot it with her efforts and was now spinning in mid-air.

"Stop using your semblance!" Ruby called out. Pyrrha did so, but due to her retaining all of her momentum she continued to spin all the way back to the floor.

*crash*

"Pyrrha! Are you alright?!"

"Yeah… I think I rushed into it too fast." Pyrrha slowly stood up.

"Hey, we heard something crash. Should I expect Goodwitch to chase me with her whip?" Blake entered the room along with her team and Yang tagging behind her. "Mind if we take over the room?"

"Well…" Ruby looked at Pyrrha.

"I think I had enough for the day." Pyrrha admitted. Her head was still spinning.

Ruby gave her a short nod and turned to Yang who had walked up to them.

"Hey Rubes. I was thinking that we should go bring your stuff here today."

"I would like to but Weiss will give me hell if I skip one of her lessons…" She bemoaned.

Yang gave her a reassuring smile. "I already spoke to her, you are free to go. She is doing her own stuff."

"Really? Great!" Ruby rushed to the doors. "Hey! I thought that you always went to gym on fridays, what's going on?" She skidded to a stop and turned to Yang who was leisurely following her.

"I have some other things for Saturday so I wouldn't be able to help you out. And no, I won't let you move it on your own." She could already picture the headlines. 'Rogue captain docks yacht in the middle of a forest' No thank you. "Let's go. I'd prefer to sleep in dorms and not in some stupid hotel in the city."

The sisters left the room and Pyrrha intended as well but while Ruby had helped get everything set up, getting it down on her own was an arduous task.

"Need some help?" Blake approached her. She asked mostly out of politeness, she had actually no idea how to remove it. "Were you training with added weight or something like that?"

Pyrrha for her part was slightly lost for answer. She didn't want to reveal her semblance but Blake would most likely see through any attempt at lying. She wasn't that good at it to begin with.

"Actually, Ruby was trying to make me fly." Stay vague and hope for the best.

"Oh! So that armor is for you?"

"She told you about it?" Pyrrha asked surprised.

"Not really. I just saw some sketches." Blake answered with a shrug. "Besides, I'm not that big of a weapon fan and I know that if I asked her what it was it would take her several hours to explain." She finished with a small smile.

"Don't I know that…" Pyrrha rolled her eyes and shared a laugh with Blake. "Sorry, I'll be on my way so you can use the arena."

-BBW-

"Do you really want to go dressed like that?"

We will be just walking around the city so I don't need anything too fancy.

"The beanie and shades look weird…"

Well, you remember what happened last time you went out without a disguise. I don't need those nuisances chasing us around.

Weiss had spun in front of the mirror to take one last look at her final get up. A light blue sun-dress, white jacket and a pair of low-heeled shoes. Her distinct and easily recognizable white hair was hidden under a beanie and her eyes and especially the scar was covered by stylish shades.

What do you think?

"Do you want an honest answer?"

Keep it in your pants.

"Are you ready?" Yang called from outside the door.

"Coming!" Okay… let's go. Weiss walked out. Yang was waiting for her, dressed in a shiny yellow long-sleeved shirt with a rather inappropriate amount of cleavage, black shorts and a pair of sneakers. She was also holding a pair of biker helmets in her hands, one yellow with black lines and the other one solid red. "What are those for?"

"Walking around the city would take too long. I wanted to take my bike, if you are fine with that." Yang nonchalantly answered.

"Ehm, sure. That's fine." Weiss hastily stammered out after having her rhythm thrown out.

Yang gave her the red helmet and they were off.

"Do you want to be in the front or in the back?" Yang quipped with a smirk when they reached Beacon's garage building.

"What? Don't you have those things that are on the side… uh" Weiss gave a confused reply.

"I take it, you've never been on a bike." Yang deadpanned. "No, Bumblebee doesn't have a sidecar because that would be lame. You can either sit behind me and hold on or in front. You are small enough to be there without messing with my driving." She explained.

"Are you calling me short?!" Apparently that was the most important part of Yang's explanation as far as Weiss was concerned.

Yang was majorly unimpressed with the outburst and motioned for her to get behind her while she pushed her bike towards the landing zone. When they boarded she gestured to Weiss to get on the bike so she could get used to it while it wasn't in motion.

"Either hold onto my shoulders or wrap your hands around my stomach. Just try to not strangle me while you are at it."

Weiss tried to get a grip on her shoulder but her hands were just too small to hold on comfortably. It would also be rather tiresome to keep her arms up for so long. Why isn't this damn seat adjustable!

"Hey let me take over. It's my turn now."

We haven't even left Beacon yet!

The bullhead shuddered as it took off. Thinking herself falling, Weiss had circled her arms around Yang's waist and held for her dear life.

"You know, I like having blood in my lower body." Yang smiled down at her 'maybe kinda' date.

Weiss slightly blushed out of embarrassment and eased up a bit but still continued to hold.

-BBW-

"Yes, what is- Blake?" Pyrrha opened the door into the dorm after a few light knocks on the door.

"Hi." Blake gave her a small wave. "Have you seen Ruby?"

"I haven't seen any of my teammates since morning." She tried to hide it, but there was a bit of displeasure in her voice. Would it be too hard for them to at least tell me where everybody went? "What do you need her for anyway?"

Blake had to fight back the urge to snap back. Her team may have run off on her but it wasn't her fault. "Just wanted to bounce some ideas for team attacks." Using Gambol Shroud's ribbon to throw Nora at people will be awesome! Now just to make sure her weapon can handle the strain and for that she needed to find their little resident expert. "Hmm, maybe I'll even ask her if she has any ideas for a new weapon for me." She added as an afterthought.

"Don't." Pyrrha quickly interjected.

Blake, being herself, immediately switched to the teasing mode. "Afraid she might outdo your new toy?" She asked with a smirk.

Pyrrha answered in a deadpan. "That's hell you are walking to." Very tempting hell but one nonetheless. "Do you want Ruby to spend at least an hour running around you, poking and prodding?"

Blake's smirk only grew. "Seems I missed quite a show…" On the other hand, the idea of spending some private time with Ruby didn't sound so bad. "Maybe I'll enjoy it."

Pyrrha remembered her own experience and slightly blushed.

"Oh, looks like it wasn't that bad." Blake commented. Although the feeling in her guts was telling her that she should maybe kick Pyrrha in the face.

"Don't you have your own team to torment?" Pyrrha had enough of it. SHe crossed her arms and was now frowning at Blake.

"Hey, it's not my fault your team ditched you." Blake rolled her eyes at the meaningless animosity. "You can come with us if you want to, you know."

"With us means..?"

"…only me." Blake awkwardly replied. "Ren is tutoring Nora and Ilia, I've excused myself."

Pyrrha stared at Blake for some time, wondering if she was serious. In the end she accepted the invitation. "Fine. I don't have anything to do anyway."

Their trip to the student lounge was awkward at best and very tense at worst. Pyrrha didn't know what caused it but for some reason she was really against Blake attaching herself to Ruby. She would only end up corrupting the young girl with all the teasing and whatnot. Honestly, she would be doing Blake a favor if she convinced her to keep to her own team when it came to perversion. Yang would definitely end up killing her if she ever touched Ruby. She still had no idea when they were going now. Blake had walked right past the door and went for a small park.

"Okay, I think we need to clear some things out." She turned around to be face to face with Pyrrha. "Now. Are you going to tell me why you are so bitchy all of a sudden or do you want my guess first?" She looked her dead in the eyes.

"You are trying to corrupt Ruby." Pyrrha answered instantly.

Blake's eyes widened at the answer before her face morphed into an emotionless stare. "Really? I like to tease but I'm not some weirdo who is trying to lock up people in their sex dungeons. What the hell do you people think of me?" Blake huffed out. "No. Time for my guess then. You like Ruby and you are jealous that she is spending time with someone else."

Pyrrha's jaw dropped at that. Sure she cared about the girl but she was certain she wasn't thinking about her in that way. She was just a cute kid that was nice to her, treated her like a normal person and offered to help her with her performance. Hell, she let her get away with stripping her and touching her in questionable places and nothing happened.

"Are you going to answer or will you just continue to blush harder?" Blake snapped her out of the memory trip. A part of her wanted to be angry at Pyrrha for both ignoring her and apparently doing something naughty already but the other part wanted details. All of them.

"I…I-I'm not!" And she was also in denial. "We are jus-"

"Relax, I get it." Blake said while rolling her eyes. She was being too nice. "I like her too. Sure she is a bit childish but I think that…"

Pyrrha continued to stare at Blake as she started gushing about how cute and kind and many more things that Ruby was. She did agree with those words. She didn't agree with the person saying them though.

"Sorry, I've got distracted." Blake ended her little tirade with a sheepish smile.

Pyrrha just frowned at her. "So why did you drag me out anyway?"

"Don't know honestly." Blake plainly stated. "Something along the lines of 'may the best win' or something like that." She shrugged.

"You know, I haven't lost a single battle in a long time." Pyrrha accepted the challenge. She wasn't sure about herself but if it meant keeping the perverted ninja away from Ruby, she would give her all.

Blake only gave her a challenging smirk. "Well, we are in school, so you might as well learn how it goes." Her declaration given she walked off, intentionally swinging her hips.

And so Pyrrha was again on her own. Maybe she should call Yang and ask for her help. Or try to find Ruby to begin with. Why did everybody disappear so early on the weekend?

/

In a medium-sized yacht, parked on the edge of the city's harbor, below the deck a person rushed out of the modified cargo bay and shut the heavy blast doors behind her. Ruby threw away the gas mask and started sneezing for almost a minute straight.

-BBW-

"Not a fan of beaches, I take it." Yang commented. She was gradually taking Weiss around what she could guess were Vale's better places. So far, the only place that had her interested was the main opera house.

"Maybe if it was warmer." Weiss looked around the place. It was her first time being on the beach that wasn't half covered in ice. Surprisingly, even if it was the middle of November she could see a small group of burly middle-aged men playing in the water. Is everybody in Vale crazy?

"From what we've seen so far? I'd say yes."

"You want to stick around or maybe we should go and have something to eat?"

"Sure, but I'm choosing the place." They walked back to Yang's bike and Weiss took a few deep breaths before getting on the machine again. She was used to a sof hum of bullhead and silent limousines, not this roaring crime against her ears and back.

At first she wanted to go to a proper restaurant, only to remember what they were wearing and that they probably wouldn't even be allowed in, looking like that. In the end they ended up in a somewhat decent pizza place if only because it was the first place they saw that had a parking space. Weiss really wanted to get off the thing before it vibrated her spine out of her body.

"Oh! They are already preparing the decorations!" Weiss spoke up as they waited for their orders to be done. They were sitting by the window and she noticed that the people outside were already preparing the banners for the Vytal festival.

"Right… Vale is hosting this year." Yang drawled out, uncaring about the event.

"Show some interest. We will be participating so you can at least keep an eye out on things." Weiss snapped at her a little. "Do you know how important it is?"

"No?" She answered honestly. "I've only occasionally looked up some highlights. Never really cared for the thing. I'm not sure Ruby even knows that it is this year."

"What were you even doing before Beacon? I thought that with you and Ruby being prodigy huntresses you would know about these things."

"Mostly helping Ruby clean up her messes after something blew up." Yang quipped with a soft smile. "We always focused more on grimm than on people's tournaments. I did keep up, to an extent but Ruby couldn't care less. You know how she is with fighting people."

"Yeah…" it was a testament either to Ruby's abilities or to the general insanity of this place, that a person who half of the time didn't even fight properly was still third highest ranked and didn't lose a single fight yet. "Do you think that Goodwitch will call you and Pyrrha up for a fight at some point? She almost circled through our year the second time but the two of you never fought."

"Who knows." Yang wouldn't mind having a go. She knew that she would win if they were to go all out but if the fight was only about skill…

"Want to go see a movie? Your pick." Her 'date' asked.

Yang looked back at her friend. She still didn't know how to feel about this whole idea. She did agree to give it a try and so far things were rather normal. Although the occasional switching between Weiss and Ivory did catch her off guard a few times. She had to admit that while Weiss was somewhat uncomfortable on Bumblebee, Ivory was having a blast and was even adding velocity glyphs to spice it up. The only reason Weiss was in control when they were riding around was probably because she believed that Ivory would end up killing both of them by accident.

"Really? No preferences on your own?"

"Fine, don't pick any political drama or thriller." Ivory added with a roll of her eyes and small smile. "I have enough of that in my real life."

-BBW-

Ozpin walked through Beacon's 'hall of fame'. Or at least he viewed it as such. It was simply an archive of all the huntsmen and huntresses that had ever attended his school. It was mostly of sentimental value. Lines of bookcases, each case for a graduation year and shelves filled with books titled with team names.

"Good afternoon miss Belladonna, miss Amitola." He greeted the two faunus in hiding.

The girls whirled around and for a second he was worried that they might end up toppling the case they were near.

"Ehm… good afternoon headmaster." Blake unsurely replied while trying to subtly look for all possible escape routes.

"Please calm down. This place is not off limits so you are free to wander." He noticed how high-strung the girls were and tried to placate them. A small part of him was saying that he should be more worried that two former members of White Fang were snooping around his school but the two girls were mostly well behaved so far and there was nothing truly incriminating in this room to begin with. "I take it you were looking for a role-model to follow."

The girls shared a quick, not-so-discreet look before going along with the idea.

"Feel free to look around to your heart's content. Remember that the people here accepted a call of duty and it's now our purpose to uphold the legacy."

Ozpin left them soon after.

"This was weird…" Ilia whispered to Blake, still worried that the headmaster might still be around.

"No kidding…" She readily agreed. "Come now, we need to find it quickly before something happens." She got back to searching. She already went over two graduation years and was now going through a third one.

"You want to find it. I'm just here to make sure you don't get kicked out." Ilia snipped back but also joined the search.

"Got it!" Blake called out, a bit louder than she wanted but she was happy that she could find it fast enough. "Let's go."

"Blake, I don't think you can take it out, this is not a library." Ilia stopped her midway to the exit. "Just take a look at it here and let's go." She was fine with helping Blake but this was making her uncomfortable. When did Blake turn into a stalker? More so, considering that she had done similar things during their stay with the Fang.

Surprisingly, there was a small table with a couple of somewhat comfortable chairs in one corner of the room. Blake was excited about getting a peek inside her newest acquisition. STRQ, bold letters on book's cover. The team Ruby told her her parents were part of. Hell, all of her immediate family was in this book.

What she found inside was rather sad.

Summer Rose - team leader - MIA, presumed dead.

Taiyang Xiao Long - retired.

Raven Branwen - AWOL.

Qrow Branwen - active.

The book was updated last summer so it had to be accurate. It was really sad, even without Ruby's involvement. Out of the entire team of Beacon's best only one was still active and he was the worst if the graduation exam had anything to tell about it. She was surprised that Ruby was still able to march into Beacon with a beaming smile on her face, knowing that the hunting career had screwed her family over so hard. I'll give her a hug when I see her next time.

The rest of the book was rather boring. Mission reports from the supposed stand-out assignments. Their graduation speeches, Summer's was nice and uplifting, something Blake could easily imagine Ruby saying as well. Taiyang's was probably the cheesiest thing she had ever seen and the other two were edited out. One for inappropriate language and the other for being a drunk ramblings. Editing was done by Glynda Goodwitch.

At the end she found a group photo with all four members posing under a tree. Looks like hiding under a cloak is genetic. Blake thought with a small smile. She easily added names to the faces. Summer and Taiyang were easy and the other two went through the process of elimination. Although she wondered why Raven looked like Yang if she blackened her hair, made it a bit shorter and lost some of the muscle mass.

"You done?" Ilia looked up from her scroll and asked Blake. She did take a brief look but lost her interest soon after, only confirming that this path had a large chance of getting them all killed.

Blake took one last look at the photo before closing the book and walking off to put it back. They say that the younger generation always surpasses the previous one. She thought of how professional Ruby and Yang get when they treat something like a mission. They would do fine. She had to begrudgingly admit that Weiss and Pyrrha were helping them out as well. As for her own team… They weren't as good as RWPY but they had three ninjas on the team. Ruby can take care of the grimm while they handle the troubles of the human variety.

I think we are off to a good start.

-BBW-

Yang walked out of the cinema with Ivory hanging down her right arm. They chose a simpleminded action flick. It was something she could enjoy if only for all the colors and occasional good choreography. Ivory also seemed to enjoy it, despite badmouthing the movie's main villain for the entire time and spoiling the supposed big reveal twenty minutes into the film because it was so easy to figure out. She wasn't sure if she considered it an insult to her intelligence or to the villains in general.

"You know, I've never seen a dumb movie before." Ivory spoke up when they got to the bike. "It was always either something educational or high-class drama that bored me out of my mind. Weiss obviously loved it. She is a hopeless romantic, you know." She added with a cheek and Yang was sure that Weiss was giving her an… earful? Mindful?

"Do you have anything else in mind or we will call it a day?" Yang asked.

"One second." What do you say? Night's still young.

"I don't know… You still didn't have enough?"

Not in a slightest. She shamelessly admitted. Besides, you are enjoying it as well.

…with a mental sigh Weiss relented. "Fine, one last place. And don't do anything bad!"

Gotcha. "One last place." She smiled at Yang. "Any special place you'd know?"

Yang knew some special places but those were mostly special to her and Ruby. Bringing Ivory and Weiss would make it weird. And those places were also quite far away for the last stop of the day. They made it obvious that they weren't familiar with what Ivory called 'peasant entertainment' but were clearly liking it. There is an idea… "I need to make a quick call." She said to Ivory as she fished out her scroll. Ivory raised an eyebrow at the black scroll she had never seen Yang use before. After a few words in a hushed tone and Yang not being too friendly with whoever was on the other side she ended the call and motioned to the bike.

"What do you think about dancing?"

"If you want to take me to a ballroom you should have asked sooner." She quipped back but she could hear the tinges of disappointment in her tone.

"Nothing posh like that." Yang assured her. "Think of it as a peak of peasantry. I'm taking you to a nightclub." She finished with a smirk.

"And the call?"

"I know the owner. Just told him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid and put a table on my tab."

/

When they arrived, they were greeted by a girl around their age who looked like she had an accident with her make-up. Or was a stripper. She also kept occasionally glaring at Yang.

They were immediately brought into the upper lounge and there were already fresh drinks at the table. And she calls me a snob…

"You are NOT driving us back." She immediately told Yang after they both took sips from their drinks. Of course they were alcoholic. Weiss was already yelling at her.

"How do you expect us to get back?" Yang asked. That wasn't even her main concern, she would sooner go beg Junior for a favor then leave Bumblebee on the street.

"We figure something out. I like the adventure but you are riding like crazy without being drunk." Ivory brushed the issue off. She had money to spare, they could just stay in a hotel. "Can you tell me how you found this place? I know a front when I see one with all the crap Jacques does. Just please tell me we are not sitting above a bunch of sex slaves."

Yang had the audacity to chuckle at her question. "Actually, slavery of any kind is somewhat extinct in Vale."

"You were involved?"

"Only a bit" she replied with a shrug "apparently even criminals have standards. This place is an information hub." She finally answered.

"Yang…" Ivory took a deep calming breath. "Did you really take me, with all the fame and press hounding me, to a place where anyone would be more than happy to sell me out?" She asked, more stated in a deadpan.

"Nah, told you, I know their boss. He knows better than to piss me off." Yang laughed it off.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes and decided that she might as well go all out and removed the stupid beanie and the redundant shades. "What were you looking for?"

"Ruby's crap."

"Why am I not surprised?" She finished her first drink and by habit snapped her fingers to call up someone with a refill. Surprisingly, somebody did show up to take their order. She still felt a bit silly. "Should I assume that all of Ruby's weapons are illegal?"

"Not really," Yang replied while playing with the little umbrella in her glass. "Mostly just parts and materials, sometimes something more special. Don't ask, I don't know. Her weapons are almost entirely self made." She said with pride in her voice.

"I think I will stop listening…" Ivory said with a smirk while sipping from a new glass of white wine. It wasn't as good as the one she was forced to drink at the godforsaken party with the company's upper management but it was good enough, definitely better than what she expected from a place like this.

"Not interested?"

"Oh, I will ask Ruby if she wants to make something for me when I get the time." She easily replied. "But I would prefer to have at least some deniability."

Yang let out a snort. "Please, it's only a crime if you are caught." She laughed when Ivory gave her a half-hearted glare for her attitude.

"Maybe. But my elder sister is in the military and I do intend for her to meet all of you. And I don't want to explain to her why Ruby has a large amount of military class hardware." She wouldn't even ask about how the hell could they afford all of it. She still wanted to be able to sleep.

"Fair enough." Yang shrugged and asked for a refill as well. "Anything I should know about her before you drag all of us in front of her?"

"I'll tell you when it becomes important." She was sure she would get the chance before the Vytal tournament but didn't know any closer date. "Tonight is about me and you so…"

"Wanna hit the dance floor?" Yang already knew where this was going.

"Indeed." She replied with a warm smile that soon turned into a more seductive one. "But I only know formal dances. If only somebody could lead me through it." She did a great job at being overly dramatic and presented her hand to Yang.

"Let's go then." She took her hand and started walking her to the stairs. Mid-stride she half-turned and gave her a teasing smile. "Ice queen."

-BBW-

Glynda was woken up by the sound of her scroll blaring throughout her bedroom. It was Vale's air traffic control. They caught an unknown flying object moving towards Beacon in a very chaotic manner.

Ozpin wasn't yelling at her yet so it meant that it wasn't a grimm or immediately hostile. She quickly connected her scroll to Beacon's outdoor cameras and-

Those damned brats!

There was a glowing crystal-like nevermore circling above the school doing prolonged turns, dives and even a loop.

Did something just fall off?

During the loop, when the glowy bird reached its highpoint, two dots fell off and were plummeting down, only to land on top of the bird when it finished the loop. It then did a barrel roll, barely missing the roof and crashed into the ground in front of the dormitory.

/

Pyrrha woke up with a startle due to a loud crash from the outside. It sounded like somebody took a ton of porcelain and threw it into the grinder. On the bright side, the room was still in one piece.

It was also still empty. Ruby was the only one who picked up her call and she said that she would be staying out working on her projects. Weiss and Yang didn't even pick up.

She made herself comfortable and ready to go back to sleep, already envisioning the lecture she was going to give to her wayward teammates when she heard shuffling in front of the door which soon clicked and opened. Immediately, she could hear soft giggling along with barely suppressed laughter. And she could also smell them. Weiss and Yang just crawled back into their dorm, almost at three in the morning, both clearly drunk.

"Dammit, you're worse pilot than Rubs." Yang laughed at Weiss' expense.

"I still got us back!" Weiss shot back in the middle of her continuing giggling fit.

"Whatever… just go to bed."

The giggling intensified.

"What?"

"Just imagining- pfff -you climbing up there."

"Not with you clinging onto me."

What?!

"But you are so warm and soft!" Weiss bemoaned.

"Shush you, you will wake up somebody."

Oh really?!

There was some shuffling of clothes and whispering she couldn't understand that was growing more heated when suddenly the entire room shuddered.

"Well, I'm already in bed." She could hear Weiss. She was willing to bet all of her trophies that she was probably grinning like a madwoman.

"Congratulations…" Yang drawled out but she could still hear the playful tone. "Now, let me go to mine."

"Do I get a goodnight kiss?" Weiss mock-shyly asked.

Excuse me, WHAT?

"Didn't you already on the way here?"

Oh for god's sake… I'm asking Ruby out first thing I see her!

"Nope!" She was spending too much time with Ruby… "Those weren't goodnight ones!"

Please just go to sleep…

"Fine, com'ere."

"Weiss that's my nec-" She heard Yang sharply inhale and make a sound that was too close to being a moan for her to be comfortable.

Shortly after there was a wet smack and some more giggling. "Okay, I'm happy now!"

"Oh no, you are getting it too!"

"Wait! Yang don-" the rest was a muffled scream and a very distinct moan. If I jump out of the window and land on my head, will I forget this?

"You brute, why were you so rough?"

Doesn't Ruby keep a gun under her pillow? A short test of her semblance left her disappointed. Thankfully she could hear a soft wheezing sound which meant that Weiss was asleep and at least they wouldn't cause a bigger scene.

Now to fall asleep myself…

Okay so most important things first. This is somewhat of a milestone chapter bcs

This story has now a hundred followers which is kinda cool. When I started I thought that I would get to chapter 4, have 3 followers with 2 of them being bots and drop this thing entirely. Now I have moral obligations to not waste everyone's time. Thank you very much. :D

This story broke through 100k words and well… I expected this thing to be done in about 150-200k. Considering that I'm 100k in and still inside the bloody Beacon this thing will take about 300-400k. Probably. As I've learned I'm not that good at predictions.

Onto reviews

First off. I honestly didn't expect the reaction to my last chapter. Thank you ladies and gentlemen, my ego was sufficiently fed.

Now actual replies.

To Nekojules: As I've stated in one of the chapters before, don't know which one, Yang and Weiss will be going through this fic as an item. I have a few other ships that I intend to have but none of them concern the main cast. Renora will stay but I won't be addressing them too much, they are not the focus. My main hold up is Ruby's ships because there are things I like, things people like and things that would make sense in the story. So far I'm only setting things up but not making anything stick so I can have some leeway with it.

To Crimsonmisty: There will be some battles and yes, I will use at least one of them as a gag to show the difference in power. While I'm making them quite op I will try to keep it realistic and not every fight can be won with brute force. For Ruby and Penny… I shipped Nuts and Dolts before it was cool (b4 vol7) and it's still my otp. The problem is that with the current setup I don't really know how to incorporate it. Well I do know, but it would take time and probably some asspulls. Maybe I'll do it anyway. Magic will be slightly addressed in Beacon but mostly after.
