I watched on as Luke ignored the screams from the fat man as he pleaded for him to put out his flames.
Luke then rose his fist as he aimed to punch the carriage.
"Please, do not kill me! Don't you know who I am?" The fatty cried out.
*bang*
Luke smashed right through the carriage uncaring of his protests.
*bang*
*bang*
*bang*
It took a couple more punches before the door of the carriage was blasted through.
'That's one way to do it,' I said to myself snickering.
The gaping hole from the carriage was bursting with flames, yet right after Luke ended the spell all the nearby flames extinguished.
'That's cool, it must be because all the flames were summoned by Luke so when he stopped suppling them they went out. I really need to step up my fire magic abilities,' I say to myself impressed.
With the flames out and the hole that pretty much destroyed the entire carriage it was wide enough for the obese man to get out.
"Oh my, you my son are my hero!" The man exclaimed completely changing his tone.
"You really gave me a scare there but now I realize that you are my savior. I can't thank you enough," He said happily as he patted the dust off himself.
"Were you the only one in the carriage?" I asked amused.
"Huh? And who might you be boy?" The fat man said in response.
"I'm your hero's brother!" I announced proudly.
"Well, well, I must apologi-"
"You are NOT my brother!" Luke shouted cutting the man off.
"Yes I am!" I proclaim.
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
The bickering between us infuriated Luke to no ends. Had been pissed off for the past couple of days but with me annoying him he was ready to snap.
However, I was having a blast. Sure this wasn't the true me and it was all an act but seeing Luke so angry that he looked like he would pop a vein brought me so much satisfaction that I just had to continue.
"Ahem, sorry to interrupt but nonetheless I am so ever grateful but I must be on my way I have very important news to bring to the mayor," The fat man sheepishly said as if he was afraid to offend his savior.
By now the law enforcement was arriving to clear the scene.
When Luke looked around and saw that the situation was now under control and he had protected the man from sustaining any major injuries he turn around to leave.
"Tell mom and dad I will be back later!" I shouted to him as he left me behind.
"Fuck off!" He screamed back not even bothering to turn around.
The crowd had pretty much dispersed by now and the guards were making their way over to the fatty and myself.
"I don't think he likes me," I say to the fat man.
"Uhh, I am sure he likes you but he just doesn't show it," the man said in response.
"Nope, he definitely hates me. I've barely known him a day," I replied.
"What? I though you said that you were brothers? Was he right?" He asked.
"We are brothers! I was just adopted recently," I said with a smile.
"..."
The man obiously found the situation to be awkward since he did not reply.
Yet I was having so much fun making this bubbly fat man squirm along with Luke.
Luckily for him the investigators arrived in front of us to question him about the accident.
"Sir I'll need you to explain exactly what happened," one of the officers declared at his arrival.
"Yes, yes, I understand. It was all my fault always but I really need to meet with the mayor it's urgent," the fat man exclaimed.
"Your not going anywhere until we find out what happened and who you are," the officer responded motioning for backup to keep the fatty from leaving not that he could run far.
"I already told you it was my fault. Don't you know who I am? I need to meet with the mayor right now or we are all in danger!" The fat man said trying to get the officers to understand the situation.
'Danger?' At the word I perked up.
'Who would dare try to put my town in danger?' I questioned as my eyes begun to glow.
The sudden reaction I gave caused the officers to turn their heads towards me.
They hadn't noticed me before since I was so short and young.
"Boy what are you doing here. Go on home to your parents. We have important work to do here," The officer said condescending.
"Huh? I'm with the fatty!" I explained.
"Fat… fatty…" the fat man mumbled as he heart broke.
The officer almost most lost his composure at my remark but his training kicked in and he stood up straight signaling that what I said didn't affect him.
"Boy I know you saved me but I have a name! Call me Brandon," He said in response while puffing his chest. Which only made him look even fatter.
"Brandon…? Brandon Hue?" The officer asked with a cold sweat forming on his forehead.
"Yes! Finally, someone knows who I am," Brandon said happily.
The Hues were a trading company that were ranked in the top 10. They had influence over much of the continent and were well respected people.
Yet the officer was shaking in his boots thinking that he offended the man and was staring death in the eyes.
"Fatty are you important or something?" I asked confused.
"…"
Both the officer and his men looked at me liked I poked a dragon.
"Haha! Why yes I am important!" Brandon bragged.
"I am the third son of the Hue family. We are one of the best and biggest trading companies of the continent," He continued on seemingly uncaring of what I called him.
"Wow!" I said but under my expression I was disappointed thinking he would be more important.
"Yes! Know that you know who I am I really need to speak with the mayor it's a matter of life and death!" Brandon said finally getting the point across.
