(Assassination.)

Chapter five:

Princess Leia Organa was making her way to the platform that would float in the center of the Senate hall to make her speech. On her left was General Poe Dameron and on her right Cale Lestin.

As a reward for being the hero of Kashyyyk he was assigned to be the bodyguard for Princess Leia Organa. He felt somewhat pissed off because the people on Kamino could not remove the controlling devices on the Stormtroopers. Instead of letting the Stormtroopers go back to the First Order they were kept or trained as Republic soldiers. He wondered why so many men had to die for a bunch of Wookies.

His Master had to go off and destroy the remnants of the First Order on Ahch-To. So he felt a little lonely but knowing that Anakin Skywalker's blue lightsaber that his Master had given him was by his side made him feel a little better. As the platform lifted into the center of the Senate he saw thousands of people. He had never seen or been to a Senate meeting and thought it might be exciting.

"It's not that interesting trust me, Princess Leia Organa whispered. Cale looked at her befuddled and then remembered she could read minds. "I'm gonna have to learn how to do that." He thought.

It turns out Princess Leia Organa was right endless negotiations, babbling, and constant whining was all that happened in the Senate. He was becoming bored. If he was the hero of Kashyyyk then why was he being punished with this. Of course protecting Princess Leia Organa was an honor he just wished he didn't have to do it here. Suddenly he felt a rift through the Force.

He looked around trying not to look to obvious. When he spotted a man in a cloak. He slowly put his hand near Anakin Skywalker's blue lightsaber ready for him to attack.

The man pulled out a gun and fired at Princess Leia Organa but Cale ignited Anakin Skywalker's blue lightsaber and reflected the blast back at him. The man smiled as he died and Cale wondered why. When someone gasped he turned around to see a Elite Praetorian bodyguard jumping towards Princess Leia Organa.

Before the Elite Praetorian bodyguard could even get Princess Leia Organa's attention Cale had Force saber thrown Anakin Skywalker's blue lightsaber and cut the Elite Praetorian bodyguards head off. He looked around to see that General Hux was missing. Princess Leia Organa then said. "I will postpone this meeting until I have found out who has made an attempt on my life."

As the platform lowered Cale Lestin turned to Princess Leia Organa. "Your Majesty I have an idea of who ordered the assassination." Said Cale Lestin.

"It's General Hux isn't it?" Asked Princess Leia Organa.

"Yes." Replied Cale Lestin.

"Then I entrust you Rey's apprentice to take what is left of the 501st and any other team you might need and make a regime change on Naboo." Said Princess Leia Organa.

"It shall be done your Majesty." Replied Cale Lestin.

While waiting to arrive at Naboo Cale reviewed the information the Republic soldiers had gathered to prepare a plan for battle. Rey always taught him that it was not the fleshly shell that counts in war it is the mind and heart. They would be arriving in the city of Theed's to engage in battle.

Cale turned his chair and contacted General Poe Dameron. "Get the troops in the briefing room and hurry." Said Cale Lestin.

It was nightfall when the Republic shuttles landed and the troopers stormed out and fought their way into the inner gate. They had to fight off the First Order and wait outside or the Defense Grid would kill them.

Meanwhile Cale and a team of Rebel soldiers, all unit types, jumped from rooftop to rooftop searching for General Hux. He motioned for a Shock Trooper to come to him.

"Take out the Auto Laser Turret Defense Grid." Said Cale Lestin. He then heard General Poe Dameron's voice through his comlink. "General Hux has released his Elite Praetorian bodyguards."

"Inform the Scout Troopers that they and I will handle them." Said Cale Lestin. He then jumped down and slaughtered a Elite Praetorian bodyguard as the Defense Grid blew up. Rebel soldiers engulfed the area as soon as the Grid fell. Elite Praetorian bodyguards were being slaughtered every minute by sniper rifles or by the blue blade of Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber until General Hux appeared to try and save his people.

General Hux had killed two Rebel soldiers until Cale jumped in front of him. "Congratulations General you are going to make a fine example for the Resistance." Said Cale Lestin.

"You can destroy my body but not what it stands for, there will be others." Just as General Hux said that, Cale Lestin began Force Choking him until he became unconscious.

"And I will be there to arrest them." Said Cale Lestin. He then looked up and gave the Scout Troopers a thumbs up and they returned the sign. It was the first time Cale or the 501st had been called on to change a planet's government but not there last.

After the battle Cale was given part of the 501st as his own army and the 501st became known as the Padawan's first.
