Never let go of her

"Allyssa."

I stopped walking when I heard that voice. I slowly looked up and almost ran when I saw Mommy and Daddy looking at me.

Mommy was looking at me intently while Daddy looks so grumpy and ruthless.

I took a deep breath to calm my system. calvin was not with me this time so I have nothing to be dependent with but myself. I didn't expect that I would meet them this early.

I am not ready yet.

"Mom... Dad..."

"What are you doing here alone?" daddy asked while he was obviously looking for someone base on how he look around but he can't find someone that I am sure is Calvin.

"Buying Groceries." I replied and tightened my grip on the Pushcart.

knowing them, They are too busy with their Business so I know it's not just a coincidence that we met here. It's either they're following me or they hired someone to spy on me that's why they know I am here.

I've never seen them in the Market Before so this was really strange.

"Alone?" Mommy raised an eyebrow so I fell silent. She looks so wicked that made me shut my mouth. In my mind, I secretly wished Calvin would have been here by my side so that I could have some courage.

But he was not here and they were right. I was alone. oh well, why would Calvin be with me again? He has his own life too and we are not really 'married'

"Where's your husband? Don't tell me he's letting you buying groceries without him? That's so rude of him Allyssa. Don't you think so?" he said sarcastically so I gasped.

I want to defend Calvin but I don't know how. They are still my parents and I want to avoid answering them.

"He's-"

I automatically stop when someone grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. That scent!

I turned to him and I got surprised when I saw him beside me. I secretly pinched myself and blinked to make sure I wasn't just hallucinating. And I was right.

It was really him! Calvin.

"Sweetheart. I'm sorry if I just got here now. I found a cute stuff in the second floor and I was thinking that you'll like it so I was planning to buy and put it in our House." he smiled.

Our House!

He was obviously acting. Of course I know it because I know what's our real situation but I can't help it. he was so sweet and I still feel like we're really married.

He slightly poked my side so I blinked so hard. I just didn't realize that I was staring at him too much and we were still in front of our parents!

"I uhmm..." I smiled. "It's okay. You don't have to apologize."

He just smiled. But there is something strange about that smile. It was as if his eyes were shining.

I turned to my Parents who were watching us especially Mommy who were grimacing.

"Good Morning Tita and Tito."

"What's good in the Morning Mendocino?"

I bit my lower lip at Mommy's response to Calvin. The man is just giving respect. Why does she even have to be rude?

I tightened my grip on Calvin's arm. He also tightened his grip on my waist even more as if he was saying it was okay.

"The Morning is good because my wife's beautiful face was the first one I saw when I woke up." he smiled so I couldn't stop smiling even though I was nervous.

I really admire him. He was so calm that it was as if he wasn't even nervous even if he was looking straight in the eyes at Mommy who were like killing him in her mind.

"You're too pedantic young man and I don't like such people."

"I was just saying the truth Tita." he glanced at me while smiling and then he winked that made me widened my smile. "My wife, Your daughter was such a very beautiful woman. Any man can fall for her in just her smile that's why I always needed to be with her."

"Possessive huh?" My father smirked. Dad has it's unpleasant side too but somehow, I know that I can deal with Daddy more than Mommy. Her heart is just as hard on those who disobey her.

"If I had to, just to made sure that no one can take her away from me."

"That was still her decision." Mommy looked at me meaningfully before turning to Calvin again. "You can't stop her if she ran to someone else."

I could feel how Calvin's hug tightened around my waist. Worried, I turned to him. he was a little still but he still managed to smile.

He was angry but he didn't want to show it.

"Of course Tita. I assure you. No one can ever take her away from me. Even before I married your daughter I made sure that I love her and she loves me.no one can separate the two of us."

I feel like Calvin will continue to get angry at any time so I decided to help him in arguing with Mommy who seems to have no intention to stop pissing Calvin.

I don't know why he is so mad at the Mendocinos and she even intruding with the two of us. Why doesn't she just let us in our lives?.

"Mommy stop this nonsense. Calvin is right. I love him and he loves me. To make it short, We love each other.and anything else you say. I will never leave him nor cheat because he's all that I have. He was now my life. Please accept that."

Mommy just smirked even though she looked angry. She always has her poise most especially when she is in Public Place because she doesn't want to look cheap in the crowd.

That's my difference from her because I don't care even if people around me judge me. At the end of the day, It will just be going to be me and myself that stay so why would I waste time to impress them with me?

"You just love each other now. But I'm sure that love will also disappear." he turned to me and smiled. "Remember Allyssa, I can also find a hole in the relationship between you two."

"Mommy!" I can't believe it. She was so different with the mother who raised me before. Or she was still the same after all but I didn't just noticed it.

"Let's see when would that love you're saying would last" Mommy said and smiled broadly as if she was pretty sure that she would knock us down.

Calvin's grip on me tightened and I felt a strange nervousness and fear in Mommy's stare at us because she seemed to be planning something bad.

"Let's see then if you would succeed whatever you're planning to do Mrs. Divinagracia." I looked at Calvin because of the address he used on my Mommy.

It wasn't Tita anymore!

I just didn't notice that his mouth was still and I was almost confused by the seriousness of his face. It was as if he was ready to go to war and had no plans to lose.

He looked at me and smiled. I blinked so hard.

"Because I will never let go of the woman I love. Even if I'll die."
