Snake Eyes and Black Widow

This is a story of Snake Eyes (GI-Joe) being a operative in the fantastic world of the MCU. Of course, as this is introducing a character from an entirely different universe this story will be an AU. Without further ado, please take a dive through the eyes of Snake. Disclaimer all rights and permissions stay with the original writers and creators. This fan-fic is just to take a spin on what it would be like to have one of my favorite characters in the MCU.

A Dance in the Dark (Continued)

The crowds around them were oblivious to the danger that lurked beneath the surface of Monaco's glamorous night. Snake Eyes and Natasha moved together, weaving through the bustling streets like shadows, their senses on high alert. The Red Room's involvement changed everything. This wasn't just a simple attack on Stark's technology—this was personal, a reminder that the ghosts of their past were never far behind.

As they made their way toward the more secluded parts of the city, Snake Eyes remained silent, his sharp eyes scanning every face, every corner, looking for any sign of trouble. Natasha stayed close, her sharp instincts matching his own. Though they hadn't worked together in years, their movements were in perfect sync, just as they had been back in the Red Room. The connection between them was undeniable, and it ran deeper than either of them had ever admitted.

"We need to find out what they're really after," Natasha said under her breath as they turned down a narrow alleyway, her voice low and focused. "The Red Room wouldn't risk exposure for a simple smash-and-grab. Stark's tech might be valuable, but there's something bigger at play here."

Snake Eyes nodded, his gaze fixed ahead. His mind was already racing, analyzing the information they had and trying to piece together the bigger picture. The Red Room had always been methodical in its operations, always playing the long game. If they were involved now, it meant that whatever they were after had far-reaching consequences.

They reached a small courtyard, tucked away from the main thoroughfare. The sounds of the Grand Prix faded into the background, replaced by the quiet hum of the city's night. Snake Eyes gestured for Natasha to stop, his hand hovering near the katana on his back. Something wasn't right. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up, his instincts telling him they were being watched.

Natasha seemed to sense it too. Her hand moved to the concealed holster under her jacket, fingers brushing against the grip of her pistol. She scanned the courtyard, her eyes narrowing as she caught sight of something—a shadow that shouldn't have been there.

Before she could speak, the shadow moved.

Snake Eyes reacted instantly, his body a blur of motion as he darted forward, drawing his katana in one fluid movement. A figure lunged from the darkness, a glint of steel flashing in the dim light. Snake Eyes blocked the attack with ease, his blade striking against the assailant's weapon with a sharp clang. The force of the blow sent the attacker staggering back, but Snake Eyes didn't give him a chance to recover. He advanced with lightning speed, his katana slicing through the air with deadly precision.

Natasha was right behind him, her pistol drawn as she scanned the area for more threats. Another attacker emerged from the shadows, moving toward her with a knife raised. Natasha fired two quick shots, dropping him before he could get close. The suppressed sound of her gun echoed briefly in the alley, but it was swallowed by the night.

More figures appeared from the darkness—mercenaries, heavily armed and moving with military precision. They were well-trained, but they hadn't counted on facing two of the most dangerous operatives in the world.

Snake Eyes danced through the fight, his movements a blur of speed and grace. His katana cut through the mercenaries with surgical precision, each strike disabling or disarming an opponent in a matter of seconds. He fought with a calm intensity, his mind focused on the task at hand. There was no hesitation, no second-guessing—just pure, lethal efficiency.

Natasha moved like a shadow beside him, her combat style a perfect complement to his. Where Snake Eyes' strikes were swift and deadly, Natasha's were fluid and acrobatic, her body twisting and turning as she dispatched her enemies with calculated precision. She switched between her pistol and hand-to-hand combat with ease, using whatever the situation called for. Together, they were unstoppable.

Within moments, the mercenaries lay defeated, their bodies scattered across the courtyard. Snake Eyes stood over the last of them, his katana dripping with blood, the blade reflecting the dim streetlight. He scanned the area once more, ensuring there were no other threats.

Natasha approached, her pistol still raised, her breathing steady despite the intensity of the fight. She knelt beside one of the fallen mercenaries, quickly searching his body for any clues. After a moment, she found what she was looking for—a small communicator clipped to the man's belt. She ripped it off and handed it to Snake Eyes.

"They weren't just here to kill us," Natasha said, her voice low. "They were waiting for us."

Snake Eyes nodded, his jaw tightening beneath his mask. It made sense now. The Red Room wasn't just after Stark's technology—they were after them. The mercenaries had been lying in wait, knowing that Snake Eyes and Natasha would come looking for answers. This was all part of a larger plan, a plan that involved luring them into a trap.

"They knew we'd be together," Natasha continued, her voice laced with frustration. "They've been watching us. They must have known we'd figure out their involvement."

Snake Eyes examined the communicator in his hand, his mind working through the implications. The Red Room had always been one step ahead, always anticipating their enemies' moves. But Snake Eyes had spent his entire life outthinking his opponents, and he wasn't about to let the Red Room get the upper hand now.

He handed the communicator back to Natasha, his eyes locking with hers. Without speaking, they both knew what had to be done. They needed to get ahead of the Red Room's plan, to figure out who was pulling the strings and what they were really after. But they couldn't do it alone.

"We need to talk to Stark," Natasha said, holstering her weapon. "He needs to know what's really going on. If the Red Room is after him, we can't afford to keep him in the dark."

Snake Eyes agreed, though he knew convincing Stark to take this seriously wouldn't be easy. Tony Stark wasn't exactly known for his cooperation when it came to taking orders, especially from S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives. But this was bigger than Tony's ego. The Red Room wasn't just a threat to Stark Industries—it was a threat to the entire world, and it had to be stopped.

As they turned to leave the courtyard, Snake Eyes paused, his keen senses alert once again. He felt it before he saw it—the presence of someone watching them, just beyond the reach of the dim streetlight. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the shadows, and then he saw it: a figure, tall and cloaked in black, standing at the edge of the alley, watching them with cold, calculating eyes.

Snake Eyes stepped forward, his hand tightening on the hilt of his katana, ready for another fight. But the figure didn't move. Instead, they simply watched for a moment longer before turning and disappearing into the night.

Natasha saw it too, her body tensing beside him. "That wasn't one of the mercenaries," she said quietly.

Snake Eyes shook his head. Whoever that figure was, they weren't just a hired gun. They were something else, something more dangerous. The Red Room always had its elite operatives—those who specialized in tracking and eliminating threats. And if they had sent one of their top agents to monitor Snake Eyes and Natasha, it meant that the stakes were higher than they had imagined.

"We need to move," Natasha said, her voice urgent now. "They're not going to stop coming for us."

Snake Eyes nodded, his eyes lingering on the spot where the figure had stood. He knew that this was just the beginning. The Red Room wouldn't rest until they had what they wanted. But Snake Eyes and Natasha wouldn't stop either.

Together, they disappeared into the night, their steps silent as they made their way back to Stark's location. The dance had begun, and they were ready for whatever came next.
