The Main Attraction
Finally, after the nightmare of the science classes, at long last it was time for my first class in enchantments. I made sure to arrive early, so I could claim a seat at the front. Almost all the students were the same as the ones from my science classes, since we were all starting the regular beginner classes at the same time.
Ever since Vivian introduced me to magic I wanted to be able to create magical artifacts. Being able to directly produce energy and send it into the environment, whether directly or through threads, was nice. However, being able to create complex artifacts with sophisticated functions that mimicked or even surpassed technology was something even greater. Not only that, but artifacts were something I could share with other people, allowing people who weren't mages, or perhaps even people who had no magic at all, to use advanced magic.
