Third person POV

Emma sat on the bench that was near the fishpond. She was still angry at Maynard for not wanting her to go back to school. She did not have a problem with him giving her everything money could buy; she just wanted to go back to school. This was the first time in weeks that she had asked for something from him, but he was not even able to grant her this one wish.

"Emma.''Maynard said, sitting next to Emma and she stood up.

"What do you want? To make me sign another contract?"She asked.

"No, buy speaking of signing a contract, if I remember correctly you signed a contract with me before we got married."He said. Emma rolled her eyes she hated hoe he just kept on reminding her that this marriage was not real.

"Yes I did, so?"She asked.

"And one of the rules said that you have to always listen to me and do what I tell you without questioning me. So that means that if I say that you are not allowed to go back to school then you're not going to go back to school."He said.

"So what do you expect me to do, sit around and do nothing?"She asked.

"Mayne if you stayed here and did nothing you would learn how to listen and wait for someone to finish talking.''He said, raising his voice a little. Emma kept quiet knowing what he meant. "You won't be leaving and going to school everyday…"He stopped talking when he saw the look on Emma's face, it looked like she wanted to interrupt him again.

"I won't interrupt you, continue."She said, even though she was planning on doing it.

"As I was saying, you won't leave everyday to go to school, instead you will be homeschooling,"He said. He looked at Emma and she looked like she was against the idea but she kept quiet anyway. "Got a problem with it, because if you don't want to be homeschooled then no school for you. Think quickly, you have until the end of the day to give me an answer, have a good day."He said standing up and leaving.

After a few hours of pacing around, asking herself questions she did not even have the answers to she went back into the house and she found Maynard and lucius sitting on the dining table eating. She sat down next to Lucius, even though she knew that that would make Maynard angry, she still did it anyway.

She could feel Maynard's eyes on her, she could tell that he was not happy, but she didn't even bother at him.or entertain him, if he wanted to be an ass and she was just going to let him be an ass. She wanted to see for how long he would keep that up, she just felt like his brain needed to mature up.

She ate her food quietly not wanting to talk to anyone. "So Emma, are you free tomorrow?"Lucius asked. Emma could tell that Lucius wanted nothing but to piss Maynard off.

"Yeah I am, why do you ask?"Emma asked.

"Well I was hoping that we could go to the beach together,"Lucius said. Emma looked at Maynard and from.the look.on his face she could tell that he was only a few seconds away from exploding.

"If nothing comes up then we will go to the beach, TOGETHER."Emma said while looking at Maynard waiting for his reaction.

"You won't be going anywhere."Maynard said, his voice sounded deep and dark.

"Why not?"Emma asked.

"Because your classes start tomorrow,"He said.

"What, but I didn't agree to it, I am yet to make a decision."Emma said.

"I don't care, the arrangements have already been made." He said.

"Maynard, you should let her decide if she wants to be homeschooled or not, you shouldn't decide for her."Lucius said.

"I am having a conference meeting in…twenty minutes, I'll be in my study and I don't want anyone to disturb me."He said checking his watch and standing up from the chair. He then left. Emma sighed in frustration, she didn't want to be controlled by him at all, if only she didn't sign that contract. Now she has to listen to everything that he says and she has no right to object at all.

"Are you really going to let him treat you like that?"Lucius asked.

"Do I have a choice?"Emma asked.

"Yes, a choice to not let him control you."He said.

"What's the point, just forget it I am going to take a shower right now."She said and then she stood up making her way into Maynard's room.

"I don't have time for your nonsense so stop calling me!"Maynyard said. He was on the phone with someone.

"How dare you talk to me like that, where is the respect that I taught you huh? What an ungrateful child."The man said, sounding even more angry by the second.

"What do you want?" Maynard asked.

"For you to come home of course, and don't forget to bring that little wife of yours,"the man said.

" 'home', really. Ever since my mother's death that place has been nothing but a hell hole that I have been trying to leave for years."Maynard said, shaking his head.

"If you don't come by next week then I won't mind digging out your mother's remains, burn them and throw the ashes into the trash."He said. Maynard could feel his chest becoming heavier by the second. He knew damn well that this man was capable of doing it. He now knew that he gas no choice but to go there but first he had to tell Emma everything, from the start. not even leaving a single detail behind.

"Alright we'll come in two days."Maynard said.

"Good, now that's my baby boy."The man said abd he then hung up the phone. Maynard put the phone on his study table that had papers, books abd files all over it. He put his habd over his chest, it was just becoming even more heavier. he didn't know that this day would come, he just didn't want it to come but it did. He had to tell her no matter what.
