chapter 11 Effortless victory

In a military camp compound hundreds of soldiers could be seen sitting and enjoying the dance of the girls wearing mini skirts, and blue top . They had the colour pattern of the American flag.

The girls finished their dancing and a well-built man dressed in the same kind of costume walked onto the stage with a shield in his hand.

He started talking, but did not receive the response he normally received, so he stopped for a second and looked at the audience who were starring at him with hatred .

He ignored it and thought about continuing , just when he said a few more words the crowd started badmouthing him and demanded the girls to be brought back. The best part was the first real attack that he ever defended with his shield was over here at the camp in the form of tomatoes and this was something that the captain will regret in the future, as Sam would often use it to make fun of him but that story is for the future coming back to the present.

He walked down the stage with a sad face.

Steve changed his costume and walked out into normal clothes and was sitting down thinking about his life, and what his role should really be .

While he was drawing the circus monkey with the shield. Carter came up to him she looked normal like in the movie, but that was far from true with each passing day she felt as if her body was becoming stronger .this was the side effect of the serum that fell on her, but she did not inform it to others she did not want to spend her time being a lab rat nor did she want to become a super hero like Steve, her only goal was to finish hydra and remove it from the face of this world.

She looked at Steve and felt pity for him and told him the bitter true and told him that he was more than a dancing monkey and a lab rat.

Then Steve saw those injure soldiers being and commented "looks like they have been through hell "

"these men are more than most " said carter and continued to talk about " Schimidt had sent out his force and after the battle only hundred soldiers had returned while the other were captured or killed they belonged to the 107 th infantry."

the second Steve heard the number 107 his face paled as he remembered his best friend was also a part of it .

Sam had led 50 hydra soldiers and attacked the American army his goal was to check if the man in tights could give him a good fight, and he conveniently used the movie plot as a reference to get Steve to fight him and as his goal was not to kill soldier, so he had only captured 80 of them as for the other twenty who were killed were naturally misfires by the hydra soldiers who were itching to have a good battle .

Sam put the American soldiers in the prison, and waited for Steve to show up .he also ordered half of his soldiers to retreat and kept the others only for show with some other energy weapons and other normal weapons.

Back at the military camp Steve ran to Chester Phillip's tent and asked him about his friend and when Phillips told him that his friend may be dead Steve had a sad look on his face, but he wanted to at least save the others, so he asked

"are you planning a rescue mission ?"

"Yes, winning the war "answered Phillips

they had a small argument after that, by the end of which Steven ran out of the tent and was heading towards Austria he planned to save the people on his own.

Carter offered him help, and with stark they were zooming towards the factory .

Sam had purposely made his men shoot near the jet, and not hit it so that his sparring partner is not injured.

Steve jumped from the jet and when he was near the factory he found there to be odd silence and zero activity.

'What is happing here ,this should be a factory, but there is nothing here it's mostly empty '.thought Steve as he walked through the facility 'He found the soldiers in the prison, and saw hydra guards guarding them. He attacked one of them with the shield and was about to attack the other when there was a voice from the control room "mister Steve I know you are powerful so please do not hurt my soldiers or else.. "As Sam ended his sentence 10 more hydra soldiers appeared pointing their energy guns at the prisoners

'shit it was a trap, and I walked right into it '

thought Steve as he dropped his shield and said "I surrender don't hurt them "

Steve was brought to an empty area where he saw a man dressed fully in black standing in front of him .

"Welcome ,I have been waiting for you "

said Sam

"let the prisoners go "shouted Steve

"what's the hurry Mr captain let's have a small talk "

"I don't talk with enemies "said Steve

Sam sighed he was also not interested in talking, and all he wanted to do was to fight Steve

"ok I will grant your request and I will also reward you but you will have to fulfill one condition "

"as long as you let, them go I will do as you say "said Steve on the surface, but he already started planning on how to escape with others.

"Fight me "said Sam and motioned the soldiers to move back .

As soon he announced his condition Steve ran towards Sam and attacked him . Sam dodged the punch coming at him, but he felt danger even when he knew he dodged.he was taking a defense position when he felt a knee hit him in his stomach.

Sam's back caved outward, and he was sent 5 meters away .

he remembered the smug smile on Erskine's face when he left 'that old man played me he actually improved the serum ,this guys body is not four, but 5 times more enhanced than normal humans body '

Even though the difference of four and five did not sound much, but in reality it was totally different as every time all aspects of the body are improved making the gap between them more wide . Each time it is enhanced the fighting ability is squared, so right now Steve has 25 times the fighting ability a normal human .

Sam's body was enhanced 3 times and his fighting ability was only 9 times that of a normal human.he could have defeated the old Steve but the current Steve was fully in control of his body and had more power than the real one ,this made him

angry ,he got up and roared "let me show you my special move the most powerful ability I have "

Steve strengthen his hold on the shield and moved towards Sam with caution .

Sam stood there like a mountain in a fighting pose and readied himself.

"Super escape "

said Sam and his figure vanished .

Steve was left puzzled in the middle of the room and the hydra soldiers also ran away.
