Chapter Twenty Five The Midnight Siren

Selena kept running furiously along the roads of Hell's streets. Dylan's words hurt really bad and that was probably because it was all true. Her mom was the closest person to her, and after her passing came aloneness. Hugh was someone else who reminded her of that same feeling, perhaps that is why she became so attached to him.

She continued to run, till she ran out of breath and finally she stopped to rest. While taking the time to have some rest, she caught sight of a small digital glowing sign board with the letters boldly written as VANITY HAIR SALON.

The sign board was attached to a not so big building. Then an idea suddenly popped to her mind, it was supposedly the craziest stuff she had ever thought of, but it was something she could do to prove her worth.

She quickly walked into the salon. On entering she saw a lot of people with weird tattoos and piercings all over their bodies. She couldn't understand why they were all looking so dead. Like zombies brought back to the living.

"Come here sweetie. Lemme take care of that hair for ya." Whispered a fair tattoo freak lady as she invited her over.

She sheepishly obeyed and reluctantly sat down on a seat next to her.

"I want you to cut my hair."

"What kinda style ya want sugar."

"All of it." She boldly replied.

"All of it!?. Ya sure 'bout that sweetheart?. Why would ya wanna do such!?."Asked the lady as she caressed her loose strands.

But she had made up her mind, and to her it was the only way she to prove her worth to the Scarlet Huntress. Never had she let any person dress her hair aside her own mother. Evet after her death she decided to handle the dressing herself. It was like a bond between a mother and her daughter. So she left herself with one question.

«Why am i struggling so hard to prove my worth to some stranger?.»

"I'ma tell you what am gonna do, I'm 'onna fix your hair up." The lady said persistently.

"But I nee..."

"Shssh no talkin' while am workin' okay." The lady silenced her.

It took nothing but a few hours to finally get it done. She was stripped of her hair and wasn't sure whether to cry or feel happy about it. The lady was a professional and a very persuasive person as well. She'd succeeded in luring her into having a pixie cut. Her hair was dyed pure black as it helped enhance her feminine look.

Still part of her missed her old hair, her mom.

Meanwhile at the old Judo house, Ada and one of her best fighters Marcus. Were having a sparring contest. He was not so huge and muscular like the others, but still maintained an intimidating physic. After Kai, he was also one of the few persons she enjoyed sparring with, due to his impeccable skills. She wiped the sweat on her face, as she'd been grinning the whole time. She found so much joy when fighting especially when it was with a worthy opponent.

He only let out a proud smirk and reposition himself in his combat stance. She became even more excited and without hesitating, launched in with a set of thunderous kicks. Spinning and performing crazy kick stunts, while he tactically evaded and blocked them all. He managed to throw a punch that grazed her cheeks almost bashing her face, if not for her excellent reflexes. She swifty pushed his hand away with her palm, and somersaulted backwards.

Surprisingly her foot was able to graze on his hard chin as she somersaulted. As the force of the kick snapped his jaw up, causing him to roughly bit his tongue. He gradually spat out a mouthful of blood, as the proud smirk on his face slowly disappeared while his combat stance transited to something similar to a panda doing yoga.

Her smile stretched even further as she could no longer conceal the building excitement. Kai had once mentioned that the only reason he was always able to defeat Marcus during duels was because he choose to be beaten.

‹His like a god of war when his really angry. I won't wanna get on his bad side› He had once stated and ever since then she'd been really curious as to how strong he really was.

He was the type of guy to crack many a jokes and always put on a smiling face. But at that moment, that smiling face was no more.

«Could it be. That he's finally mad?»

Her fantasies were short lived as soon as she felt a strong arm wrap around her waist and slam her behind forcefully to the hard bed. As she found herself on the bed with him on top of her. It remained unclear to her on how he was able to swiftly get to her.

«Was he a super?.» She'd wondered. But that would be absurd, she and Kai were the only known supers in the Judo house.

A bright smile reemerged on his face as he gently got up to go, leaving her on the bed. Looking all defeated, she felt so agitated and enraged.

«Could it possibly mean that he wasn't serious the entire time?.»

She felt even more infuriated at the thought of that. So she sprang up and a without warning, dived towards the obnoxious Marcus as he was leaving. He turned swifty to stop her but she wrapped her arms around his waist and slammed him down. The impact caused him to yelp as he felt like his guts were going to pump out of his mouth, but all that came out was his saliva.

She quickly mounted on top of him. Using her knees to restrain his arms, rendering him defenseless and unable to throw any punches at her. She raised her hand to pound the shit out of him but was interrupted.

"Sorry is this a bad time?." Asked Selena as she chuckled awkwardly.

"No it's not." She huskily replied.

"Are you sure? Cause I can always come back you know." Said Selena while sounding a bit nervous as she tried her best not to look at the intense intimate position the two fighters were in.

Ada traced her gaze, and her face turned red when she noticed why she was looking so nervous. Her hips were balanced firmly on his chest as her thighs were widely spread apart exposing her in between. With his lips almost kissing her in honey pot. Her underwear like sports attire didn't help the situation. She'd never seen anything wrong with that until now and suddenly she started experiencing a strange feeling of excitement as she felt like a thousand butterflies were dancing in her belly.

She quickly sprang up from him almost as if she'd been hit by lightning, while he gasped for air. With her enormous hips on top of his chest, it was pretty difficult for him to breath properly. Thankfully Selena came in time to save his face from being mashed to potato.

"No, it's not what it looks like. We were only um.." She paused as soon as she realized their wasn't a need for any explanation.

"Wait why am explaining myself to you again?"

She asked rhetorically.

Selena suddenly burst out in laughter, since she'd been trying to hold it in but the drama was just too hilarious.

"What's so funny? and how the hell did you even get in?."

"They let me in."

"What?. How.? Marcus?"

"Huh?" Hummed Marcus while seeming a bit distracted.

"Remind me to teach those boys a lesson."

"What's with the new hairstyle?." She suddenly asked.

"Thought you'd never ask. You needed prove as to whether I was ready, well here it is." She gestured by pointing to her pixie haircut.

"Tsk, you think cutting some hair is gonna make me wanna teach you."

"I can teach her" Marcus said sheepishly.

She rolled her eyes in annoyance and let out a deep sigh before speaking.

"Listen kid, am only gonna be mentoring you cause I like ya guts, but you gotta understand that you've got to be completely committed."

She looked her hard to make sure her words had made some impact.

"If I catch you slacking. Deal's off. Agreed?." She asked sternly.

"Deal." Promptly responded Selena.

"So do I need to pay for the sessions? She asked uncertainly.

"I don't deal in cash. I deal in favors. I help you become a good fighter, but you'll owe me and whenever I call in the favor. You better deliver" She stressed the last words.

She could only gulp down hard while nodding meekly.

"Marcus will show you the schedules and you better keep to time."

"Yes madam Scarlet." She mumbled nervously as she stopped herself from almost saluting.

"You can call me Ada and I'll call you siren. The midnight siren. Soothing to the eyes, but deadly on inside.
