Chapter song: Hold my hand
Today by Glacia Robinson
An hour later Caleb found himself standing at Tyler's bedroom door watching Janice pace back and forth. "Is that a new hobby of yours?" He asks with a smirk. "Um…what…Caleb? What are you doing back so soon?" She asks in a puzzled tone. "I came back early for Father's day, so why are you wearing a hole in your carpet?" He asks walking into her room.
"Well I mixed up my exam time, I thought my exam was at three but it's actually at one-thirty and now that all my rides are busy I'm going to be very late or miss it altogether." She sighs. "Where's your trusted driver, Christian?" he asks. "He went back to Europe." She pouts. "Well, pacing isn't going to help. It's now one-o-five, I can get you there in time but you'll have to ride on my bike."
"There's no way I'm getting on that wheel of terror, Caleb." She said flopping down on her bed. "Come on, it's not that bad, I'll be gentle, I promise." "There's nothing gentle about that metal beast." She mumbles.
"If we take my car you won't make it on time, so it's either the bike or you miss your exam, so what will it be?" After a few moments, she groans loudly, got up, and grabs her bag.` "Alright let's go, what's the worst that can happen?" She asks shaking her head as she walks towards his bike.

"I didn't know the worst would involve a few partly fractured ribs and you puking in the bushes." Caleb laughs rubbing his sides. "You told me to hold on." She said taking a bottle of water from her bag. "Desperate time calls for desperate measures." He laughs. "The puking I expected, I really don't like bikes." She moans washing out her mouth.
"Alright, you have five minutes to compose yourself and get your butt up those stairs." He states. "Okay, I'll, and as awful as that was, thanks for getting me here on time." She said straightening her clothes. "No problem princess, good luck in there."

Tyler was about to call Janice when a video chat request came in on his laptop, he saw that it was Caleb. "Hey bro, glad you called. I just spoke to your wife and she informed me that you guys were back home." "Ty…i…." "Excuse me?" Fabian's voice sounds on the line as well. "We've been on this phone for the past ten minutes and you didn't tell me you were back home," Fabian said sounding hurt.
"For god's sake guys, it's no big deal, I just came back early for Father's day. I didn't say anything because I didn't want you guys to feel bad for not being here." Caleb explains. "Is that really the only reason?" Ty asks. "Whatever other reason could there be?" "How was your honeymoon?" Ty asks.
'It was great and just because I'm home doesn't mean the honeymoon has to be over and speaking of wives, Ty, your wife was running late for her exam earlier so I gave her a ride on my bike." "Yeah right, my kitten would never go on that thing."
"On the contrary, she did, she ended up puking in the bushes but overall she arrived on time and she's fine." "Caleb…" Ty said in a warning tone. "She's fine brother, you'll see for yourself when she gets there tomorrow." "Alright, because if she isn't then you'll have to answer to me."

After talking to Ty, Caleb went back to Janice's class to check up on her only to hear that she had to be taken to the hospital because she wasn't feeling well. Filled with panic he rushed over to the hospital and after a few minutes, a nurse took him to the room where she was. "Jan, wha- what happened?" He asks in a breathless tone.
"After I finished my exam I started feeling a bad cramp so I decide to come here to see what was causing it." She explains. "And? He asks eagerly. She wring her hands but said nothing. "Jan, what's wrong? What did they say?" He asks pulling a chair close to her bed as she sat up.
