Teacher Wen

She took out the books and sorted them out according to their category before putting them into a box. In fact, there were not much books that she will bring along later. Her mother said she would still keep the house they currently stay as hers.

Thus, there was no need for her to bring everything to their new house. She was going to bring only few important documents and her music sheets.

Looking at the music sheets which was neatly arranged in the albums in her hands, she was reminded of her music teacher.

'Teacher Wen'.

Teacher Wen was her music teacher since she was a child. In truth, Teacher Wen could be considered as her companion as she was the one who always by her side after she lost her father's presence in her life.

After they moved into Rosehill Residence, her mother introduced her to a music teacher. She was Teacher Wen. Teacher Wen's age was same with her mother, but with a softer and friendlier look.

She also looked like a daughter from a notable family, however at that time, Chen Ziyi who was just a five year old girl, overlook those ambiance and treated her teacher like a normal private tutor.

Despite of that, she was closer to her teacher Wen than she expected to.

To her, Teacher Wen filled part of her emptiness in her life by tutoring and guiding her both in academic and music instrument. She taught her how to play piano and violin. She gave her music sheets for every her birthday for five years.

Yes, Teacher Wen was with her only for five years before she left. Then a year after she left, Chen Ziyi heard from her mother that Teacher Wen had passed away due to an illness.

There were two different colors albums in front of her. It was blue and maroon. The blue ones consist of music sheets that she practiced with Teacher Wen every class they had and the music sheets was sorted according to it's difficulty level. Her fingers flipped the page gently one by one until a page that she remembered it was the last song she trained with Teacher Wen before she left.

Then her eyes looked at the maroon ones. She recalled that she only managed to practice only one song from the maroon album with Teacher Wen before Teacher Wen left.

The maroon one was a compiled music sheets that Teacher Wen gave her as her birthday present.

In her previous life, when she moved into the Zheng's, she did not bring the music albums along with her, afraid that it would go missing. Both of Chen Ziyi and Chen Rumin knew that it was not safe for Chen Ziyi to have all her treasured things to be kept in the Zheng's house, so she left most of it in her room at the Rosehill Residence.

However, when her mother passed away, she somehow found the album along with her mother's belongs that was left for her.

At that time, she felt weird because she still remembered that she left the albums at the Rosehill Residence. Her mother should not bring any of her things to Province Y, as she thought that Chen Ziyi might need them later and Rosehill Residence was the nearest location for her to put her things.

When her mother passed away later, other than the bracelet that her mother told her to keep safe, the albums also became one of her way to connect with her mother. In truth, it was just a lie that she tried to make to comfort herself by saying it was to connect her with her other. Instead, the music sheet in the albums remind her to her own self. Her own identity.

After her mother's death, whenever she had time, she would rent a room to play violin or piano. She completed all the songs in the blue albums when she reached 23 years old and she sometimes would try to practice the song in the maroon album. As she did not have a music teacher to supervise her, she just played according to the music score and how she felt.

In fact, such style was taught by her Teacher Wen. Teacher Wen somehow hold a significant role in her life. When she was sad and could not vented her frustration and sadness, Teacher Wen taught her to express it through her play.

At first when she played in such way, the sound was all over the place. Her emotions outplayed the sound. However, day by day, Teacher Wen guided her to make the sound gentler and better.

It was like instead of you vent your anger through harsh words, Teacher Wen taught her to express it in calm manner.

In fact, in real life, nobody would love to listen to harsh words so the only way to make sure your messages were correctly conveyed, you must act in a well-composed manner. Word by word and good words would make people listened to you and understand your content better.

Growing up with Teacher Wen by her side was a bliss for Chen Ziyi. In truth, for the five years, part of her personality was affected by Teacher Wen's teaching and another part was by her mother.

The ironical part of her story, was how Teacher Wen's teachings affected her life before and after she left. It was like the music class never stop in her time. Teacher Wen's music class saved her childhood moments and Teacher Wen's music also helped her to face her mother's death.

Chen Ziyi wrapped the album with a soft fabric and gently put them into the box. She also put all other stationery into the box. She then closed the box and write "Chen Ziyi's Treasure" on top the box lid. It was for her to easily find her things later.

Her eyes then looked around at her room to find the next things that should be be packed. She had packed almost of the things that she need to bring. There was no need for her to pack her clothes yet as they still had few weeks before the day they move to Province Y.

She walked to the sink in the bathroom to wash her hand then walked back to her room. When she took a seat on her bed, her soft gaze then landed on the black violin case on her left side. Her fair hand pulled the zipped and took out the violin from the case.

It has been a while she played violin so she intended to play for few songs today. Chen Ziyi somehow felt the day was quite bored so she chose to start with Zelda Lullaby.

Zelda Lullaby was a song from The Legend of Zelda - a high fantasy action-adventure video game series. She never played the game or a follower of the game series, but she was attracted to the song tune that was associated with Princess Zelda, a character of the game series.

In fact, she was never a fan of watching movies, drama or playing game, but when she came across to songs that she felt attracted to, she could not help but to retrieve the music sheet of the songs and made them into her practice routine.

She would study the origin and the messages written in the songs to get the hang of how the song was supposed to be played. Later, when she was able to grasp the messages the writer intended to convey, she would later incorporated her own emotion and style playing the song.

To her, those efforts was worth and she enjoyed having those as a thing to fill her leisure time when the Zheng's always ignored her.

Making sure her sitting posture was comfortable enough, her fingers swiftly played the violin. She did not need to download the music score online from the internet to take a look at the music notes.

Her body remembered all the notes and how to play the song. Chen Ziyi even incorporate a new emotion that she had currently into the play. If somebody else could see of how current Chen Ziyi played the song, they would felt amazed for her to not even look at any music score while playing the violin. It was a proof of the violinist's hard-work had to make the song her own if she could play skillfully without the need to check the music score.

Hey, guyss. I am quite super busy this week. I also thought I would not be able to catch up but here I am~ I sneakily tried to write anyway. I'm not sure there will be one more chapter after this or not. OR maybe there is one after this and there might be none after that. Sorry... I have a priority I need to tend to this week, and I could say that priority was one of the reason of why I keep missing randomly no spesific date last week. Thank you for reading.
