Loopholes

Han Meirong saw how Chen Ziyi's change of expression upon looking at something on Tian Qisong's phone screen. She approached both of them to look at what had made Tian Qisong being so confident to make such proposition to them. She also frowned looking at the picture which made the others who were so curious of the cause approached them to have a look together.

"What an utterly cunning despicable man you are." Han Meirong muttered.

"Just accept my offer, Xiao Yi." Ignored Han Meirong's on him, Tian Qisong approached Chen Ziyi. He used to talk to her with despise and looked down on her, but at this time, he was simply 'talk' to her in his usual calculative personality.

"Don't call me that. We were never that close that you can call me by that."

"Heh~ so you feel uncomfortable with this distance too? Hm, to think you always tried to approach me before." Tian Qisong then snickered while stepping back one step away.

Hearing that, Chen Ziyi was not easily agitated though. She only felt that guy was weird for having such disillusion.

"Just accept my offer, Chen Ziyi. You would not lose anything. Just one less witness," Tian Qisong said in his wicked manner. Feeling bored with non-responsive Chen Ziyi against his teasing, he made a disappointed look. Chen Ziyi saw that, but did she care??

Chen Ziyi was considering the proposition. Recalling how Tian Qisong kept trampling over her in her past life, she did not want to have anything with Tian Qisong anymore in this life. However, who can foresee that upon she returned to this life that she had to immediately meet him and even let him have his way on her.

Sigh! This calculative man. Fine. Just this time then.

"I know you're smart enough for this," Tian Qisong took back his phone and waved his phone in front of Chen Ziyi trying to agitate her more. Then he walked away leaving Chen Ziyi and her friends who at that time were staring hard at his back like they were going to drill a hole at Tian Qisong's back.

Both Lin Chao-xing and Fang Peizhi were holding their hard glare at the man's back until the man gone from their sight. Fang Peizhi clutched her chest and said through her gritted teeth. "If-If, If. You know. I really want to kick him." She was clearly felt annoyed at Tian Qisong.

Chen Ziyi also felt annoyed for allowing herself to be suppressed by Tian Qisong. She took a deep breathe to calm her anger and let it go.

"You are really fine with him like that?" Fang Peizhi who seemed like not cooled down yet, asked her in her irk tone. Chen Ziyi released a long, drawn-out bitter chuckle hearing that question.

"Fine not fine. We have to come up with a plan anyway." Lin Chao-xing answered for Chen Ziyi. They all fell silent for a full five minute to catch breathe and to calm their own respective unease and annoyed feeling.

"Just this time." Chen Ziyi said in her calm tone. She smiled at them to indicate that she was okay.

"I,- if possible, I dont want to meet him anymore, or to allow him to threaten me like that. But we will not know if he will use that picture to threaten me in the future. But, in the future, I will not allow him to do that to me. So just this time."

Hearing that, they all slowly let go all their unease and discomfort feeling.

#Rosehill Residence_

It was like Chen Ziyi thought. Upon her mother saw her injured face, her mother was frantic with worry and could not stop asking her of what happened. In fact, the face that her mother saw was after-treatment face which quite better than before she got treatment.

Her mother was supposed to pick her up at Conquest Plaza but Chen Ziyi told her that she was going to Han Meirong's place. It was so they can have time to both treat Chen Ziyi's injury and further discussed on how to settle the issue.

At the end of Chen Ziyi 's discussion with her friends, they decided to alter the stories to make Chen Rumin not to go berserk upon looking at Chen Ziyi's bad state. They made the fight like it was not only between Chen Ziyi and Zheng Haozu, but they also were involved in the fight.

They also did not specifically mentioned Zheng Haozu's name as the main perpetrator, as according to what they planned, their target was not Zheng Haozu but his friends. With them targeting his friends, they could make they blamed Zheng Haozu upon they found out about it.

Chen Ziyi could not reject Lin Chao-xing's idea, since she too was out of option.

It was because Tian Qisong's interference into their way. She also did not want to take the risk by letting her mother knew the truth, but she then felt guilty for letting her friends covered for her.

By using the fact that An Huiyin was also injured by Zheng Haozu, they had enough reason to drag their parents into the issue. After they settled on the full summary of their altered stories, both Han Meirong and Lin Chao-xing made their first move.

The purpose was so that the duty to deal with the matters fell on Han Meirong's parents and Li Chao-xing's parents instead of Chen Rumin.

Han Meirong also asked her mother to apologize on behalf of her to make Chen Rumin to not suspicious of them. As she had already promised Chen Rumin to take care of Chen Ziyi, it was her own negligence for allowing such thing happen.

Chen Ziyi was uncomfortable and wanted to stop Han Meirong from going too far just to help her, but Han Meirong said, "It was in fact my fault. If I waited to accompany you, at least I could stop them from holding you. And you would not get that slap."

Dragging along their parents to solve the issue already made her uncomfortable for the whole idea. For her desire to hide the truth from her mother, and for agreeing with Tian Qisong's proposition, her friends literally lied to their parents to help cover for her.

Chen Ziyi could not stopped herself from feeling more guilty when Han Meirong told her own part that could help Chen Rumin to believe their story. She was grateful yet at the same time, felt sorry for Han Meirong's genuine and earnest feelings toward her.

An Huiyin's parents was also enraged when they found out the incident happened to their daughter, but later Lin Chao-xing's parents reassuring them, that they would come with a way to deal with the issue. They also told the children to not worry much so they should just leave the matter to their parents.

There were loopholes in the stories that was retold by each of them, but their parents chose to believe them and instead they were more worried about their children. It was also because except for An Huiyin and Chen Ziyi, no one was injured and because they all told their parents Han Meirong's father would deal with the issue along with Lin Chao-xing's and Lu Zixin's father.

At first, Han Meirong's father was suspicious of the story but because of An Huiyin was also injured, he yield to his daughter's begging. It was also because he saw his daughter was acting like trying to protect someone, and it was a first time for Han Meirong to do that.

Thinking it was an age for his daughter to start appreciate things like friendship, and also the unseen things if he stubbornly insisted his daughter to be honest to him which would make the later not trusting him anymore, he forced himself to forgo about it. He would asked her later when things get calm.

After he made a deal with Lin Chao-xing's parents, he gave a call to Chen Rumin. Chen Rumin only knew that the fight happened between her daughter's group with another group, and after she was reassured by both Han Meirong's father and Lu Zixin's mother, she could just yield to it.

Although she was reluctant and distressed upon her eyes looked at her daughter's injured chin, she at the end gave in to them listening to her daughter's comfort word.

Her hand softly touched her daughter's face and her face clearly expressed her upset towards whoever responsible for injury. At that night she slept with her daughter and the next morning, she helped her daughter to treat the injury and replaced the gauze. She reminded her daughter to continue packing her things before she went to work.

[Han Meirong]: How was it?

[Chen Ziyi]: she did not ask much further

[Han Meirong]: Cool. Take good care of your face. My mother said try to avoid the injured part from getting wet.

[Chen Ziyi]: Aite. will do so.

[Han Meirong]: What a hectic day yesterday.

[Chen Ziyi]: Sorry

[Han Meirong]: What sorry? Are you the one who stimulate the fight?

[Chen Ziyi]: No. Thank You

[Han Meirong]: Treat me well after this then.

Chen Ziyi smiled upon reading Han Meirong's reply. She then replied 'we will see'
