Chapter 3.

PRESENT DAY:

Suddenly, Esther heard a knock on the door, She closed all the diaries and rush to the door to open. it was one of the housemaid, "What is it?" She asked her, "someone is looking for you" The maid replied. "Okay" Esther nodded as she close the door and went downstairs with the maid.

A man in Black pants, and a brown t_shirt was standing in the living room,

Estherra joined in and was amazed when he learned that face which seemed so familiar..

"Mike! " She exclaimed, and Mike turned and stared at her, "Ms Divan" He sounded so formal. "Come on!" Esther cheered him as she run right into his arms. "Hey!" Mike said. "I am here for business, please let's be strict, am not here as your friend" The guy was so serious. " I don't care but for now, I really don't know who to turn to" Esther said as she crossed her arms so tightly around him and Mike hugged her back. "How have you been? been a time now!" He said. "how should I be?" Esther forced a tired smile.

after a hug, they sat to discuss: "What again made you come here?" Esther asked. "oooh it's regarding your father, I have been working for him as general assistant in his firm, so with my responsibility, I am allowed to involve in family matters if they can hinder anything about our firm. that's why I am here"Mike explained. "Wait! you mean, you've been working for my father?"Esther was amazed, "Two years now"Mike was so serious. " and you didn't tell me!" Esther was so friendly . "I am sorry! your father asked me to come here with two proposals that would help in your case"Mike explained. "one: should we find you a capable lawyer or give you one from our company to help you solve this? or should he pay money that the case should be closed and you move abroad, start new life?" Mike reported. Esther stood up and starred at Mike Collins. "do you believe that I killed Luc?"She asked. "I am here for your father, whatever I believe won't help here"Mike replied seriously. "Mike. speak to me"Esther insisted. "Look Esther!" Mike stood up too. "I don't know whatever you have been through or who you became after we graduated" Mike said. "But Mike you know me so well!" Esther said loudly. "I knew you so well"He replied in the same tune. "You know what? I don't think I need you right now, go tell Dad that I can handle this, that he don't need to worry" Esther said as she move back upstairs. "Esther wait" Mike called but she was gone.

"Have you remembered something?" Mark asked over the phone when Esther picked it up later that evening. "Detective, I am sorry, I am really trying so hard but for now, I am afraid to say I am not getting anything that would help" She sounded so sincere. "Okay, take some rest, tomorrow I am picking you up to check in your house, maybe it can help. I will be there by seventeen o'clock." Mark said across the line. "Okay sir, thank you". She hang up the phone with Andy's unending higher voice.

"Lady, I am home"She come upstairs and shut the door behind her after entering the room. "you still look troublesome! who is disturbing my girl!?" She gave her a forehead kiss like they always do. "It's Mike"Esther said. "Estherra, are you crazy now? with all the cases over your head and Mike is the priority now? wake up lady"Andy said. "Honestly I don't know who to blame"Esther started crying with dying of hopes. "If only Luc could show up, everything would make sense"Esther said laying her head on Andy's shoulder.

Andy was shocked. "What are you talking about?" Andy asked. "I don't know but my heart doesn't agree on his death. something is not right"Esther tried to explain to her but she knew that Andy won't understand. "Look Esther, you only learnt to love with Luc Gustavo, he was your first love. isn't it a good reason you don't want to trust with your heart that he's gone?" Andy tried to comfort her. "Andy, you might not believe it but Someday something will make a sense" Esther was sincere. "Okay! if you say so! anyway have you remembered something?" Andy asked. "No, I haven't, remember when he left me with his business card? I am trying to remember every little detail" Esther told Andy, "Do you need my help? you know I've been there in every step" Andy said looking in Esther's eyes. "Well, after a week when my father finally agreed for me to persuade my career, I called him again"....

FIVE YEARS BEFORE THE INCIDENCE;

Esther in her room taking her cellphone and dialed a number on the card, she was trembling. 'what if he picks up! what will I say! My Lord' she's been fearfully praying to get to speak to him. and finally, the other side picked the call.

"Hello! This is the secretaire in EM entertainment, how may I help you?" the lady's voice from other side speak before Esther would be able to speak. "Hello, I am Estherra Divan, may I speak to Mr Luc Gustavo? " her trembles seemed to be fading. "Yes ma'am, I will connect you to his private number in a minute if you may excuse me" the lady excused and in a minute or less, Estherra's trembles returned with a voice she heard on other side. "Juliette"He murmurs. "Good evening sir" She tried to be so formal as she could but his charm could be heard even throughout the phone that she wouldn't resist. "I knew you would call again. have you given a thought?" He asked smilingly. "well, as a matter of fact yes but I do have a problem" Esther was so freely this time. "You won all my attention ma'am" Luc breathed. " I haven't played professionally, I might need some training"She demanded. "Don't worry lady, I am all for you!" Luc calmed her. "So I am off. thank you" The girl was so quick. "how about a coffee this Friday?" Luc asked. "are you asking me out?"Esther laughed. "Consider it that way but for business"Luc smiled so gentle. "Okay, see you"Esther said as she hang up.

"Esther wake up, what are you thinking!?" she couldn't stop blushing. "How about a coffee this Friday !! ooh Juliette ooh Juliette" she could dance all around her room. "This is it. come on lady" She again would calm herself but she could feel some electric energy running through her body whenever she remembered any little detail about Luc. the face she saw when she looked in the crowd that graduation night couldn't leave her thoughts, something beautiful, something that the eyes of any lady can't just forget, something like Luc Gustavo.
