Chapter 50 - Predecessor's Quirk

Shocked is understatement. He thought it was only fluke and would fade away resulting in waking up from his bed. However, Izuku did not expect to come face to face and even have a conversation with the previous user of One for All.

"Now kid, first and foremost we would like to explain a bit more about One for All and that mysterious Quirk of yours. Speed Force."

Said by the red haired man, Jinbei who changed his carefree smile into a serious one. Izuku understood that the situation is important enough for him and didn't try to force himself to move nor talk and only listen.

"The Singularity should have taken more than this or maybe less? I am unsure due to the influence of your foreign 'Quirk' or whatever it may be."

Spoken by the bird masked man, Asclepius commenting on the strange phenomenon as Singularity. It was the only logical conclusion as the term fits One for All perfectly.

Izuku recalled the term singularity from an Old theory about every next generation the quirk grows stronger and harder to control which would lead to the apocalypse.

'Is it true? One for All is clear evidence it is and if it does come true then….I should talk to AlMight about this.'

"Now, Ninth, let me explain a bit about One For All."

The frail man, Yoichi, started to explain how the quirk was born and the person. Who has given him the power who was called All For one.

The quirk itself contained the spirit of the past user and had become stronger to the point that they were able to communicate and share a link with their consciousness.

"Relax kid, we still give ya some privacy. Though having harem makes me jealous since I've lived quite the hermit lifestyle hahaha."

Izuku slightly felt relieved to hear him say that and blush as well knowing they probably saw him flirting with his girlfriend.

"We sure did, kid! Going lovidaby was really entertaining to see."

Jinbei laughed at the ninth user blushing but was elbowed by the magical girl, Kanako, stopping him from laughing.

"Hey stop that you're embarrassing him too much, Jinbei-kun!"

Kanako scolded him who only laid back into his chair.

"Hehehe alright, alright I'll stop and start explaining more. Now, you already got the gist of it from Yoichi over there but I'll be blunt. You may be the last and only user of One for All, kid."

Jinbei revealed a crucial part of the power that Izuku possessed. Izuku took this as a sign that his responsibility for wielding the power grew even further than before.

"Let me summarize, I've lived only for measly 40 years and the second longest that wielded One for All. I only spend my time making it grow stronger and better than ever before. At first, Me and the others didn't know the cause of my death until recently."

In a flash Jinbei stood up in front of Izuku pointing his thumb at the people behind him.

" The kid, Yagi or AllMight you may know him, had previously investigated everything regarding One for All and it's past user. He was able to find the cause of my death…"

Jinbei pointed toward Izuku as if giving him something being filled yet it was a drop in the vast ocean. The red haired narrowed his gaze confirming something.

"The reason why he lived so long was...being quirkless or an empty cup is better term."

He resumed explaining how those with quirk would overflow their body and eventually destroy their body. 

'Hold on does that mean I'll only live for that long!?'

Izuku shuddered from the thought since he did have quirk and was terrified by the idea of dying at such a young age especially when he had multiple lovers. Jinbei senses his worry and places his hand into his shadowy shoulder.

"And this is the point where you, an anomaly, come to place. The quirk you have is foreign one and does not belong in this world."

Jinbei revealed a vital part of his other power, surprising Izuku.

"This part let me be the one to explain it."

Asclepius stood up from his chair and walked up to Izuku, giving him something similar yet different from Jinbei. He had opted for the same expression as the latter.

"I see, Midoriya, we could have spoken with you a long time ago if not for the fact that this power of yours had taken us by surprise and spent the time understanding this aspect of yourself. Unfortunately, the only thing we found that this quirk you call speed force is not something normal individuals should have in our world."

Izuku made sure to take everything and was shocked that his quirk was not a quirk. This only made him curious about the origin of his Speed Force. 

"However, due to this you are a bottomless vessel that even after giving up our quirk was still nothing more than a drop in the vast ocean. This is simply fascinating! Kukuku if only you were alive maybe I could disec-I mean examine your body a bit further."

The speedster was creeped out at Asclepius as he was pulled by Kanako.

"Okay Frankenstein, you creeping him out! Sorry Midoriya-kun, he's just a bit eccentric about quirk considering his quirk but anyway it's my turn to give my quirk."

Kanako went closer and reached out her hand, giving Izuku a burning sensation in the process. 

"G...Giv...yor...Quirk?"

Izuku managed to speak, surprising them a bit. They were impressed that he was able to speak despite being the first time he was pulled into the mindscape.

"You manage to speak? Impressive, perhaps you are more than I expected. Hmmmm here, have my quirk but do not treat it as an acknowledgement rather It's infuriating to be in this confined space. My quirk may allow us to have a better place to talk privately."

Scornfully said by the masked man letting Izuku feel something grow in his eyes that formed 3 tomoe before turning into a spinning shuriken symbol.

"I WON'T GIVE YOU MINE UNTIL YOU'VE PROVEN YOURSELF!"

Angrily screamed by the dark skinned man crossing his arms before scoffing. Izuku didn't feel any hatred, only refusal from his tone. 

"Here, My quirk Float would surely be useful to you in the near future. Once you talk to Toshinori about this, tell him not to burden himself with death and move on. I can't bear to see him thinking he's the cause of my death."

The spirited woman, Nana Shimura held out his hand giving something that made Izuku feel floating in the air. He saw her gaze that was full of regret and remorse yet pride and happiness.

"I am proud of Toshi and what he accomplished as well as choosing you to be the next successor."

Nana smiled looking at Izuku as his image overlapped with the symbol of peace. This made her recall the AllMight Dream and how he was able to achieve his goal.

"I heard your dream and decided to be there to guide you. A multiple pillar where everyone would look up and feel safe. A admirable dream, Midoriya."

"Thak..yo..."

Izuku was grateful and boosted his motivation to reach his dream. With their help, he would surely achieve the impossible.

"But...Tel...wat..are yor quirk?"

They nodded being caught up with the moment that everyone forgot to explain their quirk.

"I'll go first, My Quirk is called Kamui and before One for All, Pocket dimension is only several meters and let me both short and long range transfer people or objects into my dimension. Anyway, after this point I'm unsure how large the place has become."

He only gave the summary of his power letting Izuku figure out the rest to test him.

"As for me my quirk is Asclepius or  Genetic Manipulation and before One for all, I was only capable of analyzing other quirks and ways to improve them, as well as enhancing them via touching that person at the expense of my stamina. Similarly, I'm unsure how strong it had become after joining One For All."

Asclepius explained.

" My quirk is like that of Kamui called  Switchero or Also known as the Board of Nonpolar Supreme Polarity. At first, it allows me to use spatial manipulation in order to either switch or transport things at least 300 meters from me toward my location, which can be used to transport myself and others. As well as being able to twist and bend space, allowing me to tear apart people and objects. After One for All, same answer, I don't know."

Jinbei laid back into his chair after explaining.

"Oh now it's my turn! My quirk is called  Venus, a brainwashing ability that allows me to copy and paste memories, experiences, and emotions to and from anyone I could engage in two-way communication with. But it has a Weaknesses and that is by Copying memories of people with extreme beliefs and values or unstable minds would cause the user to vomit, have nightmares, as well as auditory hallucinations. I'm only keeping my sanity in check by placing a mental block but be careful when using it, Midoriya-chan."

Kanako playfully explains hiding the dark mind hidden deep within her mind. izuku nodded and made sure to carefully use it.
