Ezra and his group ran into their own issue, two level-one mountain bears, but that wasn't not all, sitting in the far back was a quasi-rank two bear.

During their studies, they learned about the fact that some beasts attempt to evolve, but the lack of resources can cause them to stop at a realm above the former, but not into the next, this creates quasi-beasts.

And though it was not a rank two beast, it was still a fearful existence to the current apprentice mages.

"We have to use as little as possible energy to deal with the enemy, or else we may end up without strength to fight the quasi-rank," Ezra spoke.

He looked around and the used his shadow sense to check the surroundings. When he was certain that there was no one there, he spoke to them again.
