His mum handed him a stack of books, it consisted of three thick books with leather covers. He held onto them, taking them back to his room.

He placed all three books on the table, then he placed the scroll of the shadow spell. He took the scroll of information he received from Oliver as well, he placed it on the table.

"I have to go through all these."

He took a seat and first opened the book on the history of their kingdom, he would first need to understand that.

He flipped through all the introductions and other stuff and got right into the main information in chapter one.

The kingdom of Astoria was founded by a woman, she was a powerful sage who wandered the world, her name was Lucia Astoria.

Nobody knew the reason, but she one day decided to stop wandering and build a home, and that was how the kingdom of Astoria was formed.

She never did rule over it, her son William Astoria was the first king of Astoria. The man she loved, Osborn had died too early, hence he never ruled.

It was said that he was killed by the sister of Lucia, Anabel, a vengeful mage who hated the fact that get sister was superior to her.

According to history, Anabel was the case of the first Dark Age, an event that spanned over the entire continent and shaped the history of the continent.

When he read up to this part, he paused, he looked at the word dark age. He flipped through the pages quickly to find information on the dark age.

He finally got to a page that had some information that was on the dark age.

There had been three dark ages that shaped the continent. The continent of Ribest was larger than all the continents of Earth combined. It consisted of multiple races.

The planet he was on now was vastly more different than Earth size and look-wise, it was a wonder how some things were still similar.

The planet had five massive continents, and according to the book, and Ribest was in the north.

Ribest had faced three dark ages that shaped the continent. A dark age was a catastrophic happening that affected the entire continent.

The first one was the dark age of the fire curse, brought by the sister of Lucia Astoria, Anabel.

She created a way to cause combustion, combustion was when a being suddenly exploded in fire, turning into a mindless being that would burn all in its path, it would keep going till it burnt itself out and died.

"Dreadful, her methods are simply dreadful, The pain of having to fight your family when they combust, she wanted to inflict grievous damage," Ezra commented.

The book then only showed the names of the other two dark ages, and nothing more, it didn't give an ounce of information.

The dark Age of the Abyss and the Dark age of the demons. The book refused to give any information on these dark ages, and who caused them, and that made Ezra curious.

Yet after hours and hours of going through all the books, he found nothing concerning the matter.

Still, it wasn't useless, he learned about the kingdom, and that the current king was called Willam II Astoria. He was still in his middle age, making him a young king.

His Wife's name was Tera, Queen Tera, they had been childhood friends that finally got married.

With that information, Ezra was okay, he would continue digging into the history of some other times, especially the Dark Ages, as he wanted to know all about them.

Since he was done with the history for now, he shifted his attention to the scroll of the man he so dearly wanted to kill.

The dark mage that thought it was fine to simply curse him for and argument that he wasn't involved in.

Ezra unraveled the scroll, the first thing that appeared was a perfect drawing of the man, he had neck length black hair, his eyes were partially open. He had a sharp jawline and a sharp nose as well.

Ezra read done after the image were there was now a information about him and physical description of the man and attributes.

"Oliver did do a lot of digging for me, I can't thank him enough." Ezra muttered.

The man's name was Trez Lukerman, he was a dark mage of the Grand mage realm. He had been arrested on several counts of misusing dark magic, but he has people in high places.

In the current Astoria, they allowed darkness magic, but it the past it was simply banned. But along the line, they came to consider. This attribute was not something the person chose, he was giving it.

There was nothing the person could do, and since it was banned, he had to live his life out without becoming a mage or enjoying the wonders of magic.

They decided to compromise, but they set some laws to ensure that darkness mages don't do what they aren't supposed to, like cursing a kid.

Still those laws are just superficial, there was no way to stop this, dark mages are normally disobedient and loved to do things their way, and of recent, they are a lot of high placed dark mages fighting for the rights of dark mages.

They were also cults that held activities that complete contradicted all their setup laws. Still they won't shut them down, as there was a power play on hand.

Ezra read more about Trez, seeing all his adventures, his research on dark magic and lots more. Oliver really went all out to gather all the information.

After a long while of reading, he finally came to a place that held shocking yet amazing information. Trez had just been giving a job as a necromancy teacher in the academy that Ezra wanted to attend.
