CHAPTER TWELVE

She watched as he looked towards her with a hardened look on his face. She gulped as she watched him take a step towards her and she didn't know what he would give her.

He came to stand directly in front of her. "What are you doing here?" He asked her in a hissing tone. "Well, I thought that it was time for me to show some of the men what I have to offer as well. You know I don't think that is right that I would just sit around in the background and do nothing it is time for me to be involved in matters such as these," she said to him and she could see that she was ticking him off from the way that he was looking at her.

"I see that you have grown some confidence and it seems that you think that you are able to do whatever you want but you should know that isn't the case. I would be very careful about it if I were you." He said to her.

She knew that he was doing it on purpose to rile her up but she ain't about to allow herself to be intimidated by it all.

"Well maybe if you would actually show the people that you value and respect me they would be able to meet on more common grounds but you have chosen to do everything but that. Instead, you continue to undermine me." She said to him in a hissing tone.

She watched as he looked towards her with a raised eyebrow. "And you think that here is what is going to make me change my mind. You are only moving to me further if you lack the competence. How about you go back to where you make from and wait for me." He said to her.

She looked back over his shoulder towards the men that were behind him and she noticed the way that their gaze were trained on her despite her own personal feelings about it that he was right to some extent.

"Fine but this isn't over". She says to him. He smirked at her and said to her "I assure you it is."

Without saying a word to him, she turned around to leave. She needed a breath and she needed to get away from him at that moment. She was beyond frustrated and he was only making things harder for her.

She began to move around the pack grounds aimlessly and she froze when she spotted what appeared to be a small cove. She felt her eyes widen in wonder as she approached it. She felt as though she was overcome by a form of relief as she looked down at the water and viewed their reflection through it.

She didn't know her own life really and where she was going this wasn't how things were supposed to go down. She was supposed to find a way to avenge her family and start a new life for herself.

And yet here she was seemingly going around in a circle with a brooding man who didn't want to Cooperate. Maybe she would have been better off with a different council leader. Maybe even Fay would have been better for her but this man was a brooding tall wall that she found herself unable to penetrate through no matter how hard she tried. She didn't know how to continue to deal with the situation as she found herself overcome by a sense of frustration.

"Are you lost?" She heard a voice call out from behind her. She swiveled around to find a man with a smirk on his face. She hadn't seen him before and she decided she was curious as to who it was.

"I am fine." She said to him in a mutter. It was her own way of having a defensive mechanism. "Yes well, I can see that closely because it is obvious that anyone sits around by the pound alone and looking back at their reflection." He said to her in a sneaky tone.

"What are you doing here." She asked him as she let out a sigh from her lips at the very thought of it.

"Well I just returned from a trip that the Alpha sent me on and I had to return to find that there had been quite a deep change in the pack. I want to know what is new and the first new thing that I have found is you." He said to her and she looked towards him with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't think that is any of your business. I am your Luna actually." She said to him and she watched as he widened his eyes at her in response and he lowered his head at her in response.

"I didn't realize and I apologize." was his reply When she heard the sound of trumpets being blown. She froze in her spot before she stood up to her feet as they made their way out of the cove. She was cautious in her steps as she stepped out of the cove.

She made her way to the training ground as she found the Alpha standing there and she came to stand beside him.

"WhaT is going on?" She asked him and she watched as he shrugged his shoulders at her in response as he didn't say anything to her in response at first. She wasn't entirely sure what was going on but she had a feeling that it couldn't be any good.

They watched as a carracan made its way through the trees. And they watched as Elder Fay made his way out of the carriage.

"What are you doing here?" Sev asked and they watched as he looked towards the two of them with a smirk on his face.

"I am here to see how well the two love birds are fairing with one another or do you have something to say against that."
