CHAPTER SEVEN

Erica gulped as she stared up at the sight of the large pearly white gates before her. She takes notice of the guards and then stops before it. They were both large with broad shoulders and also very muscular but nothing compared to Sev.

They stared her down as they seemed to strip her with their eyes but they were soon pulled out of their thoughts by the sound of the loud growl that rang through the fields.

She was relieved when a deep blush covered their cheeks and they turned to look away from her. She hummed knowing that they should have in fact been ashamed to stare her down in such a way. She was no piece of meat.

She stood on her feet as she heard him shift back to his human form. "The next one of you that stared at her for more than two seconds, I will not hesitate to rip out your tongue". He hissed at them in a warning tone.

She watched as they bowed slowly before turning swiftly to look away from the two of them.

He grabbed a hold of her hand again as he began to pull her through the gates and she couldn't help but blush lightly as she felt like a complete and utter child in that moment.

She cursed internally as she grumbled slightly under her breath. But she was soon distracted from her own train of thought when she gasped at the sight of the pack. It had marble stone houses with thatched roofs as well as a large structure in the middle.

She noticed a large raging fire that was crackling in the center and the grounds were layered in rubble. It was magnificent, to say the least, and it was so much more than what her measly pack had to offer. She almost felt embarrassed to think of putting her pack next to it in comparison.

She was soon pulled out of her thoughts though when she heard him let out a low whistling sound from beside her. She grinned as she was quick to snap out of her daze when she watched as several men and women came from the shadows.

"I have chosen a Luna. You will do well to make her feel comfortable". He spoke and she took in the looks of shock that were paramount on their faces.

But he didn't give them more detail than that as she watched him turn around and begin to walk away. She felt helpless in the sense and she had thought that he would at least show her where she would rest.

But her bigger problem now was that of the people who seemed to gush over her as they made their way over. They were all much larger than her and she could tell from their bulging arms that they were much stronger as well. Soon enough they surrounded her.

"And what makes you think that you are good enough to rule beside our Alpha. Look at her. She looks like a twig". One of the women mocked beside her.

She felt a light blush come over her cheeks as she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. She was only grateful when she heard a low whistling sound and the crowd soon parted as a man made his way through. He had long blond hair and a bright dazzling smile that was plastered on his face.

"I am sorry about them. How about I show you to your quarters Luna. My name is Randal". He said to her and she nodded her head at him with a small smile. He seemed kind enough and from the energy that she noticed ease off him, she could tell that he was most likely the beta of the pack.

They made their way past some of the structures in silence as he led her toward a smaller hut. "This is usually for buyers but I assure you it is temporary until the Alpha gets you settled in. I know you must be tired so please do rest". He said to her and she furrowed her eyebrows as she didn't know what it was about his words but it seemed as though he was almost begging her.

"You can call me Erica beta and thank you. I will see you tomorrow". She said to him. She watched as he bowed his head at her slightly before he turned to leave. Once he was gone she let out a breath before stepping into the hut.

It was mostly bare except for a bed and some furniture. She wondered why he wanted her to stay inside but she didn't bother to think too much into it. She felt the weight of the last few days down on her as she made her way towards the bed and lay down.

She hoped that the drama was over for the most part. But only several hours later she found herself being woken up again by the sound of beating drums. She panicked as she sat up abruptly remembering where she was.

She ran to the door pulling it open to see a large raging fire that was burning in the distance. She found herself compelled to move towards it as she noticed the pack dancing around the flames.

Her body shuddered as she felt a set of eyes on her and she felt her heart sink when she turned to her left only to find the Alpha glaring a hole into her flesh as he rested with a scantily clad female on his lap.

A growl escaped her lips soon after causing the music to stop and the pack to turn towards her.
