Toying with a Prince
"The flowers are beautiful. Thank you, Howin." Tianshi Xue's hand touch the soft petals of the violet and pink stems in the vase. It was her breaktime before dinner and her handmaiden poured her tea.
"You're very energetic today, Your Highness," said Howin. "You don't seem tired at all."
Oh, but she was tired. It was that she was not feeling it at the moment. "I'm very happy with the things that I learned with you today," she smiled.
Tianshi Xue was feeling happy because finally the cloud of Prince Xiaodan was no longer looming above her head. It was no longer going to cause storms over her sunny days. Every time that she saw him since Prince Qui left, it was like she was lying down on a bed of nails.
She made up every reason to avoid him. It was great that he had the sense to finally talk to her about it and end things.
