Chapter 10

[A/N:I wrote this fanfic for fun so just read it to pass time.The romance will be in the background since I not good at writing them.]

Chris POV

I now had my shoulder pierced by one of Lamia's claws which really hurt like hell as I heard Lamia hiss and say "Poor little boy betrayed by your friend and left to die."I was laughing a bit while Lamia was confused suddenly a spear pierced through her chest as she slowly turned behind to see Alexis was the one who stabbed her Lamia who in pain soon fell down while looking at both we said: "You tricked me."

While holding my wounded shoulder well it was all part of the plan it was quite simple I had telepathically contacted Alexis when I found out our enemy was Lamia I knew it was going to be really tough battle unless we get her by surprise so Alexis acted as she betrayed me and seeing me in the so-called stunning state with all my defense down your instincts just couldn't resist as you attacked me Alexis was waiting for the right time to attack you.

Lamia who heard all this slowly died after her death a translucent beautiful women wearing brightly colored clothes are made into dresses like togas and held together by silver brooches she just smiled at us mouthed 'Thank you' while glowing and disappeared into thin air I created a cigarette and lit while saying "I love it when a plan comes together!"

Alexis who was next to rolled her eyes and punched me in the shoulder and said "That was not some great multilayered plan."I groaned and mumbled, "I just always wanted to say that line."We then saw a door open at end of the ruins as we cautiously looked around to see there weren't any traps and stuff I sighed "Well let's see what Lady Hecate left for us."

The room was filled with magical artifacts and golden coins and stuff one specific artifact gave divine aura which was a book filled with all the spells Hecate ever created 'The SpellBook Of Hecate' it was very interesting to read all the spells and their effects while Alexis and I decided to split treasure such that I was able to take all most all the magical artifacts while Alexis decided to take god statues, coins,...etc

One thing I noticed was some of the spells written by Hecate are really strong but most are written under the forbidden section not because it causes the caster problems instead gods od goddess Like Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades didn't like some encroach on their divinity like Lightning, Earthquake, bring back the dead..etc have all been written on the forbidden side because they forced her to and the knowledge of most of these spells are not shared. Small scale spells are not considered problematic so learning magic was not considered a good thing unless you are the children of Hecate, Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades because having such a big three to back you up.

I really didn't want some of these artifacts to land in the hands of any power-hungry idiots we were shown a portal back to Hecate ruins when we got back it saw that time had not passed at all that type of magic is really hard to pull off.I was snapped out of my thoughts when Alexis grabbed me by the collar and gave me a kiss my brain short-circuited.

As Alexis whispered, "That is reward was saving me also I do expect a date okay."I just dumbly nodded as I was not sure what just happened I soon followed her and asked "So do you really want to go on a date with me."

Alexis who looked at me as if I was dumb said: "Yes idiot that is what I said just now."I smiled hearing that while I happily thought "So she did like me her mixed signals always confused me."I then went on a couple of dates with Alexis it was nice and it didn't take long for us to announce we were an official couple.

I was knowing reading 'Spellbook of Hecate' as the spells were really good if you are in a tough spot I heard a knock on the door as I went to look and found Johnathan with a smug look on his face as he said, "Hello Brother. "I looked at him carefully and asked, "Why do I get the feeling this visit is not because you missed me." I knew this was too familiar after Evie told Johnathan about the multiple PhDs Johnathan often brought things fake artifacts to either Evie or me to check their authenticity so he could sell them.

Johnathan laughed and replied, "Can't hide anything from you."I crossed my hands around my chest while giving him the look that said 'Spill or I will punch you in the face'.

Johnathan got to business as he got out an octagonal-shaped puzzle box which I immediately knew was 'The Key' to Imoteps prison as I heard Johanath ask with hope "What do you think it is real."I took the key and inspected it as I replied "Johnathan you do know I am not well versed in Egyptology right but from the looks of the inscriptions...Let's go to Evie if I think what this is then Evie is the right person for the job."

Johnathan grew anticipation as questioned, "So it is real right."I smirked and replied, "I won't tell you what it is until we go meet Evie."Jonathan huffed and replied "Ohh come one just tell me already."
