[3rd Person POV]
"So..Venom right? You married to that or....?" Cisco asked.
Ven just shrugged. He wasn't really dead set on using that name since he wasn't the same as the OG Venom at this point.
"Tell you what, if you can figure out a better handle for me, you let me know." Ven chuckled.
"You are on mister!" Cisco laughed. After all, naming Meta's was his jam.
"So are you like, a superhero too?" Flash asked. He still had his mask on since he was trying to hide his identity.
"Nah, not full time at least. I would consider myself as... Hero support." He chuckled at his inside joke since the actress for Caitlin was also in the film Sky High.
"Why not? I mean, dude you can fly!" Cisco asked excitedly.
"I do have other powers so I can do a lot more than fly. But The problem with timelines is if you don't know what you're doing, all sorts of crap could happen. Like how Thawne got stuck here after killing your mom Barry." Ven said as he looked at Barry.
Flash scrunched his brows but took off his mask.
"So you knew about us? Barry asked. "And timelines? So are you like from the future too?"
"Nah. But I do know quite a bit of it. Or at least some versions of it. See, My very existence has already changed a few things. Then there's my actions like this time. But as long as I consider the bigger picture, I'm pretty sure I can keep the changes minimal, or at least, in a more controlled outcome."
"Wait, if you're not FROM the future, why not change things as you please? I mean unlike Thawne, if you didn't come from the future, doesn't that mean you're free to change it since you live in the present?" Cisco asked.
"Yeah, but then if I go overboard, I might screw up some of the important events. Believe it or not, there are quite a few events I would prefer to remain intact. For example world ending events. Despite the obvious danger, I am keeping it intact because we survive it. If i screw it up in a negative way, I might Marty Mcfly our would be saviors and reduce our chances of surviving."
"Did you just say, world ending?" Dr. Stein asked.
"Unfortunately."
When Ven said that, everyone's faces paled. Realizing that there would be such devastating threats scared them to their core.
"But we do survive right? You said we do!" Ronnie exclaimed.
"Yeah. But only if all the players remain on the board. And I want to keep it that way. So yeah, I will only interfere when I know I can get away with it without removing key figures from the playing field. But don't worry. That doesn't mean I wont help. It just means I need to be smart about it and always consider possible chain reactions. Which is why I would need to use Gideon."
"What's Gideon got to do with this?" Barry asked.
"Gideon is the best way to calculate the timeline changes Barry. Just as Thawne has been doing all this time. To keep track of all the changes and check real time if the future has changed. Timey Wimey stuff. You understand."
"Funny enough, I do." Barry sighed. "But you have to understand that we just got betrayed by someone we trusted for so long. How do we know we can trust you then?"
"Fair enough." Ven then willed his mask off to show his face.
"What the--!!! Mr. Matthews?!" Cisco exclaimed.
He needed no introduction since Cisco already told them about his part time contract with Vgames. They were surprised that a very public figure like him was a part time hero support as he had called it.
"This should help with your doubts right? My public identity should help you sleep better, knowing how to find me if I betray your trust? Also, technically you can ask Gideon about my access level. That at least would prove to you that future Barry trusted me enough."
After they indeed checked with Gideon, they found out that Ven did have Alpha level access and that he was an honorary founding member of the Justice League.
"So what's the Justice League?" Cisco asked as they were back in the main command station of Star Labs.
"Super hero team up club. Well sort of. Future stuff, you'll get there eventually Barry." Ven said as he looked at Barry.
"That's totally cool!" Cisco replied.
"But why would he need to even join a League like that? I mean, he's already got us." Caitlin asked curious as well.
"It can't be...." Dr. Stein suddenly realized.
"Yeah. World ending threats need a world wide team up. Just like how most heroes would normally have a his or her own local team generally speaking, for bigger events that could end this pretty blue planet called earth, we need a super hero team up that could handle those threats." Ven answered. "But don't worry about those for now. At this point in time, you just need to focus on your personal growth. You still have a lot to learn about your abilities and being an effective hero."
"You mean there's more Flash could do apart from his current abilities?" Cisco asked.
"Much more. But here's my personal tip. Not about your abilities but being an effective super hero. Don't talk too much. And no need to let bad guys monologue before you move. If you can disable the bad guys immediately instead of asking them to surrender, you'd be able to prevent a lot of tragedies."
Then it actually dawned on them that Barry does have a tendency to talk to the meta's before anything. So they decided then and there to try and prevent accidents or deaths as much as possible and focus on neutralizing the threats first.
"Well, I'd love to stick around but I have a lot to do regarding my day job. I'll come visit you guys next time. Oh and before I go, while it's a bit early, a few months from now, a man will approach you guys, claiming to be a former speedster from another earth. While some of his statements will be true, he's not completely honest so do yourselves a favor and lock him in a meta prison and call me afterwards when he does."
"Wait... another earth?" Dr. Stein asks.
"Long story. I'll talk about it next time. Just give me a call when you got him locked up. See ya!"
Then Ven uses super speed to run out of Star Labs then proceeds to fly away.
Everyone was surprised that he was fast. They didn't know he had that kind of power as well.
"Damn! Was he a speedster too??" Cisco asked.
"It didn't seem like it. I saw him when he moved fast, there wasn't any lightning that came out as he used his speed. Maybe his powers came from something else at least." Barry replied.
And just like that, Barry started on what was going to be a 6 month long process of cleaning up and rebuilding the city from the effects of the singularity.
