"K-Kevin what have you done." Jasmine said as she looked at the dead body in horror. Despite just killing someone and seeing blood, lots of it. I was surprisingly calm.
'System, what's the best thing to do right now.' I asked with my voice calm even in my head.
'calculating.'
*Ding!*
[Quest : name your party and receive the time manipulation skill]
'Getting the time manipulation skill will enable you to reverse time and bring back the dead. This can only work if the body has even a piece of soul left in his/her body.' the system explained to me.
'Is there any chance of failure.' I asked.
'Chance of success > 42.27%
Chance of failure > 57.73%'
[The soul will disappear in 24 hours]
[TIME REMAINING]
[23 : 52 : 29]
My heart dropped when I heard that. "Why am I even trying to help him?" I asked without expecting an answer.
I dropped to my knees and my hands trembled. I killed someone. What would the council, do to me, would I be stripped of my title of prince and exiled, or even worse, I could be executed. How would everyone look at me.
I looked up to see Jasmine rooted to her spot looking at me in fear.
I stood up with trembling legs and I placed the body in my time inventory skill since the system inventory couldn't carry organic things.
I thought my heart couldn't sink further but it did. 'Dammit, which name can I choose, this is important, at least I have 24 hours.
"Jasmine, don't tell anyone. I know what I'm doing. Don't worry." I tried to sound calm and collected but my body language and voice betrayed me.
I spread my wings and I went to the nearest window and I jumped out, flying to my room's direction. On the way, I noticed that something was amiss.
There were no guards I'm the castle and no guards in a particular area on the outside. 'What's going on?' I asked myself.
5 minutes later, I landed on the balcony of my room and I entered. The first thing I did was to get into the bathtub and wash myself. Afterwards, I got a change of clothes and I jumped on my bed.
"I didn't even get a wink of sleep last night, wait, maybe I did. When I passed out." I said.
I opened the system screen to check for any notifications I got when I passed out. I also got one when I was talking to Jasmine. I decided to start from the oldest ones.
"Danger, danger, warning, losing blood, bla bla bla. Nothing good her- wait a minute, isn't this the notification I got when I was talking to Jasmine? latest notification." I opened it and I when I saw it's contents, I wanted to be shocked but I wasn't.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]
[Your basic tier AI needs permission to evolve and become an intermidiate tier AI]
<YES> <NO>
I clicked the yes button mentally and another notification came in.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]
[All system related activities or skills are shut down for the next 12 hours]
[Update on time till soul disappears >> soul won't disappear because it is in a dimension where time is frozen.]
I widened my eyes in shock and realization. For the first time in 2 days, I let out a sigh of relief. A really big one.
"Still, I have to make that name before anyone suspects anything." I grabbed my laptop and phone and I flew to the library, making sure to hide my presence the entire time.
On the way, I saw that the guards had come back from their 'break'. I flew into the library window realizing that I had begun to like the 'window slipping in' game.
At the moment, no one was inside so I used the chance to steal the book directory. I picked out a few ones that had to do with naming stuff and I sat at one of the tables in a corner.
Out of all the titles, the ones that caught my eye was a book with the title 'How to name a team'.
I picked it up and I skipped all the acknowledgments, preface and I went straight to the good stuff. I didn't even check the author's name.
Step 1 : Read the acknowledgments of this book and the preface. I know you didn't read it.
I flipped the page in annoyance and I saw the real 'steps'.
• Consider the team's mission or goal: What do they stand for? This can be a good source of inspiration for a team name.
• Think about the team's personality: Are they adventurous, intellectual, silly, serious, etc.? This can help you find a name that fits their vibe.
• Look to nature for inspiration: Many successful team names are inspired by natural phenomena (e.g., Thunder, Lightning, Suns), animals (e.g., Bears, Tigers, Ducks), or geography (e.g., Mountain, River, Lake).
• Don't be afraid to get creative: Sometimes the best team names are those that are unique or unexpected. Don't be afraid to think outside the box.
With that in mind, here are a few potential team names that you might find inspiring:
(1) The Mavericks
(2) The Daredevils
(3) The Visionaries
(4) The Adventurers
(5) The Luminaries
(6) The Luminosity
(7) The Horizon
(8) The Eclipse
"Team mission or goal... hmm.... What's my team mission. What's our goal. Destroy the world? save the world? stay in this shadows?
In animes, I loved seeing war and conflict but seeing a dead body today changed my perspective.
I hate war. I don't want to see those bodies everyday. A world without war, a world with peace, no conflict. A smile came to my face I had gotten a name.
Haritha POV
Twins. Those words dropped on me like a nuclear bomb. I'm going to have twins. Kevin will be so happy. Alex, he doesn't care. That kid is strange. I always feel like he's hiding something, even beating up a maid that entered his garden.
His blue eyes are as cold as ice and no emotion shows up in them. He's been really distant from me since his puberty.
*snore*
I looked to my side to see Micheal. He hadn't left me since the day he heard the news. We hadn't heard about Kevin too.
Suddenly, a messanger burst into the room, bowing deeply. The sound of the door opening had woken Michael and he looked at the man fiercely like he had robbed him.
"Speak!" he said.
"Y-your majesties! News about K-Kevin!"
