"All right I'll tell you everything I know," Alex said and stopped momentarily as he gathered his thoughts.
Everyone's attention was now solely on him.
"Mary Alice Brandon, that's your past name," Alex said as he faced Alice.
This was something he was telling her primarily, but he also felt conscious of using this as a method to justify his actions even if they needed none.
"Born in 1901, she always had precognitive abilities which were clearly only further developed when you became a vampire," Alex said and waited to see if Alice wanted to continue.
A quick nod later, Alex started talking once more.
"You had a younger sister called Cynthia Brandon, who has already died of old age but her daughter still lives in Biloxi Mississippi. If you want to find more details maybe you could look around there, as I don't really know much about her." Alex said, his words had caused Alice to open her mouth in shock at the fact that she had a niece, that at one point she had a sister.
Alice remembered nothing, All she remembered was waking up in a forest all alone, wandering while she hunted for food.
At one point she had gotten a vision of her living with the Cullens and so she had started to adopt the vegetarian lifestyle so she could better fit in with them.
"These visions of yours were first called ridiculous and no one believed you, but when a tragedy that you had predicted came true, the townspeople came up in forks and called you a witch," Alex said softly as he looked into Alice's eyes.
"Do you want to continue or uhm go somewhere more private?" Alex asked as he stopped once more.
"No it's fine, everyone here is family, I don't mind them knowing about my past," Alice said softly as she motioned for Alex to continue.
"All right" Alex replied as he gave a soft sigh and started talking once more.
"Later on, I'm not sure of the timeline but soon enough you had a vision of a stranger killing your mother. Your father called it bullshit but she believed you but even after months of keeping her guard, nothing happened and so she discarded the thought. She was killed the next night" Alex said, his voice not stopping. He knew that if he stopped he would just make it harder for Alice.
"The death of your mother didn't seem like a bother to your father who quickly married another woman, she was the daughter of a valued customer of your father. It almost seemed like it was all planned and it was indeed as you saw another vision" Alex said as his voice turned graver.
"What do you mean it was? Her father tried to kill her?" Emmet said out loud, the outrage was clear in his voice as he stood up on his feet.
Alex turned to look at the large vampire and nodded softly.
"That's right, what Alice saw in the vision was her father and his new wife killing her. So she decided to seek refuge with some close relatives however they thought she was a misfortune-bearing witch and threw her out. Left with no other options Alice went to the town hall but her father had already convinced the entire town that she had gone mad." Alex continued, the more he talked the heavier his voice became, his throat tight at saying the words.
To Alex, this had simply been a fictional story but for Alice, it had all been reality, something that had truly happened. It was disorienting to simply think about it.
"Declared mad, they sent you to a mental asylum where they used various methods to try and fix you," Alex said as he stressed the final words as if it was the biggest joke of the century.
'They were absolute lunatics, that's what they were' Alex thought as he felt himself boil in a fury.
"One of these methods was electroshock therapy, which caused you to lose your memories entirely. Be it for the better or worse, you went back to your true nature Alice, someone cheerful with a harmonious air around them." Alex said as he gave Alice a smile, it was hard to put on but he wanted to give her even a little support however small it was.
'Selfish, I'm using someone else's past and pain to further my own point.' Alex thought to himself.
"In the asylum was a vampire doctor who had taken a liking to you so he did all he could to save you from the most horrid treatment or I guess it would be better to call them torture methods," Alex said, his words caused Carlisles' head to raise slightly.
This clearly piqued the man's interest it seemed.
"I don't know anything about the man, not even his name" Alex replied as he turned to face Carlisle.
"I see, too bad but there's nothing that can be done then," Carlisle said as he nodded softly.
"Even if I knew his name it wouldn't be much use, he's already dead," Alex said and then continued back on his retelling of Alice's past.
"The peace that you and that vampire doctor had didn't last long as you saw another vision, this time it was of a vampire who had come to hunt you down. He had gotten your smell as he had been passing by the asylum and had decided to hunt you down"
"I was hunted by a vampire?" Alice asked, her face mildly shocked at the revelation.
"And I'm guessing that the vampire doctor turned her to save her from the hunter?" Edward asked as he came downstairs from where he had been playing the piano.
Turning to face the handsome youth, Alex nodded.
"That's right, besides turning her, Alice saw no other way she would be able to live past the ordeal and so that was what the doctor did, and after injecting you with the venom, he went ahead and sacrificed himself so he could give you some time to fully change and stop being a delicious meal to the hunter," Alex said as he released a puff of air before taking another deep breath.
"The hunter still found you, however, but he decided that you weren't worth it and left you alone. After you woke up, you had no memories and you know the rest from that point on" Alex said as he lifted his head to look at the ceiling.
"Thank you for telling me Alex," Alice said almost too softly as she grabbed his hand and gripped it hard.
For a moment, Alex thought she was going to break it.
"Do you know who the hunter was?" Carlisle asked as he looked at Alex seriously.
Alex nodded his head and gave them a small smile.
"I already took care of him," Alex said causing the others to widen their eyes at him.
After a moment of silence, Alex finally told them the hunter's name.
"His name was James"

This chapter was a bit lore-heavy and kind of an info dump, sorry about that.
I took most of the information for Alice's backstory from the wiki so I hope it's correct.
