Death of The Giant Earth Lizard

The human going by the name Eric, walked for a long time before finally reaching the rest of his group.

The group of humans numbered as much as five! All of them were armed and dangerous looking. They could definitely take care of a small, unarmed lizard the size of their fist, with the human called Eric acting as the leader of the group.

Time passed by and Scaly felt the exhaustion catching up, sleep slowly taking over as she could not even put up a fight before drifting off into dreamland.

"Eric, I think we should be able to find the giant earth lizard if we move south. From the looks of it, the giant earth lizard should have just eaten and is looking for a place to rest."

Waking up, Scaly managed to hear the voice of one of the five humans.

Wait, when did I even fall asleep in the first place?

Thinking this to herself as she inspected her body, Scaly only calmed down after seeing nothing was wrong with her small lizard body.

Well, I was quite exhausted from moving so much… The humans are moving now, and it looks like they have an idea where they can find the giant lizard! Finally, I will also find out whether the giant lizard they are hunting is the same one that snatched my prey 2 days ago…

What followed, was what Scaly could only describe as a clash between monsters. One in the shape of a giant lizard while the other was in the shape of a human.

The giant earth lizard used what magic it could, causing dozens of rock spears to erupt from the ground as they flew towards the incoming group of humans.

The earth spears managed to pierce through the legs of 2 humans charging over before being blocked by a defensive barrier cast out by the human called Peter.

Peter then began to cast several earth spells as well, forcefully stopping the giant earth lizards earth spears with his own, causing no small amount of frustration to the giant lizard.

ROAAAR!

The fight between the human mage Peter's earth magic and the earth lizard's earth magic continued for a little while before the scary human, Eric, finally managed to reach the giant earth lizard.

"DIE!"

Lifting a giant greatsword that he had been carrying on his back before encountering the giant lizard high into the air, Eric swung down his sword directly at the head of the giant earth lizard.

A human female who had remained unharmed unlike the two others charging over together with Eric and Peter, timidly answered to Eric's yell, as she quickly readied her bow and fired a glowing arrow directly towards the distracted giant lizard.

The arrow pierced directly into the eye of the giant earth lizard and exploded. Killing the giant earth lizard in an instant.

I honestly had no idea what I just witnessed. The giant earth lizard was killed just like that!

Humans are indeed scary, only two of them got hurt at the start and they easily managed to take care of such a powerful lizard! Looks like I will need to become even stronger before I can stay alive outside where humans are abundant...

Scaly had no idea how strong humans were, but if there were more humans like Eric and the rest of his group… Scaly dared not think of it and decided that it would be best to become stronger before exiting the dungeon.
