Reincarnated As a Cat-Kin?! [BL]

IMPORTANT NOTICE!! This novel has been moved under the title {Reincarnated As A Cat-Kin [BL]} (Same thing but without the ?!) due to lots of reshaping of the plot. Same characters and everything but it starts differently and I made the leveling system less complicated because I finally realized how unnecessarily complicated I made it. Thank you for your time reading this novel and I deeply apologize for any inconvenience. Much love, BlueberryMuffins

First Class

The building was made of solid black obsidians with the golden letters 'Dark Waters' written across the top in an arrogant fashion.

Dark Waters was the number one music producing studio in all of the Yetholin Continent, turning young geniuses into teen prodigies.

This would be where Ava's dreams would come to fruition.

Walking through the revolving glass doors together, a young woman in white walked up to them.

"Hello, how can I be of assistance?" She asked.

Though they were kids and the staff was skeptical, she was well trained and knew it was best to be respectful to everybody lest you provoke a sleeping dragon and the god that protected it from above.

"Hello, we're here for the beginners' vocal class. My sister will be the one attending.

The young lady moved her eyes to the little girl standing silently behind her brothers. She was wearing a seemingly simple white mask with cat ears that covered all of her face save for her mouth and eyes.

Her lips were pressed in a gentle smile. Paired with her gold and violet eyes, she was a sight to see.

"Very well, please follow me. The class will begin shortly." She finally answered.

They followed behind her quietly. Nobody would have been surprised to see children usually. After all, most of those contracted as stars of their company had begun their training at a very young age.

But the triplets were different. Not only were they incredibly beautiful, they were incredibly similar. To the point it was nearly eerie.

Their only defining features between the boys were their expressions. One cold and expressionless. The other with an arrogant smile spread lightly across his features.

Oddly enough, the girl even had her face hidden behind a mask.

Though distracted, they kept their feet moving to their destinations. They had places to be, and they had to be there on time. They would never forgive themselves if they were fired for being late because they had spent too long gossiping or gawking at a group of creepy looking triplets.

Aiden, Ava and Alex paid no mind to the stares, used to it by now.

They soon arrived at a door and the lady turned to them and said "Those signed up for lessons may enter now. Other may watch the class through the adjacent waiting room. Please enjoy your time at Dark Waters."

Aiden nodded in thanks while Alex turned to his sister and said "Good luck! Don't sweat it, the mask works against it. We even had Gaia test it, so don't worry- you don't need to hold back."

Ava smiled warmly, "thank you big brother." Alex patted her head, "quickly go inside, Aiden and I will be watching from the window. We'll be right there if you need us for anything."

Ava nodded again, giving her brothers a hug in turn before walking into the classroom, hesitating only slightly at the door before reaching over and opening it, walking inside without looking back.

Both brothers let go a breath of relief they hadn't even been aware they had been holding.

Looking at each other, they communicated a number of words indescribable to even themselves with their eyes alone.

Quickly the class had stared. Ava stood in the second row of students, third to the left. Alex and Aiden carefully watched her from the window of the waiting room, much like other parents and family did for their own child.

The class for today was simple introductions and a warm up or two. All they had to say was their name, age, and favorite animal.

"My name is Bethany Johnson, I am 7 years old and my favorite animal is a tiger!" A blonde haired girl answered with enthusiasm.

"My name is Tyler Wright, I'm 6 and a half years old and my favorite animals are parrots and elephants." A boy with black hair and glasses answered seriously.

Then it was Ava's turn.

She hesitated.

It had been so long since the last time she had spoken to other people that she had nearly forgotten how to do it.

After a moment the teacher asked "is there a problem?"

Ava quickly turned her head to the window, looking at her brothers with pleading eyes: but her brothers were on the other side of the wall and could not help her now.

She had to do it herself.

With the wave and thumbs up she had revived from her 'oblivious' brothers, she quickly gathered her courage and opened her mouth.

Voice slightly raspy, she said "N-no. There's no problem!"

"Ah… Ok then," The teacher replied, "Will you please introduce yourself to us, then?"

Ava took a deep breath in.

"M- my name is Ava Void a-and I'm 5 years old!! M-my favorite animal is any t- type of cat!"

The teacher clapped lightly for her, chalking up her nervousness to her young age.

"That's great Ava! Now who's next?"

After that Ava seemed to warm up with the idea of talking out loud. Though she continued to keep her voice quiet, she no longer stuttered, singing with the confidence that nothing would happen.

Her brothers watched her through the window, incredibly proud.

Naturally they had understood what their sister had wanted from them earlier.

As a matter of fact, they could hear every last word said within the room, using mana to enhance their ears and listing through the walls. Still, they had not moved to help her.

I'd Ava ever wanted to fulfill her dream as a Kpop star, she needed to be able to sing, dance, and talk without her brothers doing it for her.

Neither Alex nor Aiden had the intentions of following their sister into the industry of acting and and singing- the entertainment circle.

Alex wanted to be a race car driver, supposedly, while Aiden had already made an agreement with Gaia that would need his full attention to fulfill.

Ava would have to be on her own for many occasions in the future. Though the girl would be able to summon her brothers in a heartbeat, she didn't have to.

Ava was strong, stronger then she had ever wanted to be, and that was something she needed to learn was a great asset if used properly.

Ava was destined for great things.

But she had to take this step by herself or she would get too high up the ladder, and when her brothers could no longer hold her hand to keep her steady, she would stumble and, quite possibly, fall to her death, never to get back up again…

What do you think so far? I hope you have enjoyed today’s chapter. I just got an 86% on my big ELA report and honestly don’t know how I feel about it… anyway, thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day!
