Chapter 05

Black Manor, Two months later.

Harry had grown accustomed to his new life in House Black. Most of the time, the brunette spent reading magic books with his sister or practicing French with Regulus and even practicing manners and etiquette with Narcissa and Andromeda.

Despite his young age, he understood perfectly well what was going on around him. He knew that the Black Family was one of the most respected and dangerous families in the magical world and that he was the only Potter alive in the eyes of the magical world, so he had to prepare himself to be the next Lord Potter just as his sister was preparing to be the next Lady Black.

Adhara had spoken to Harry about their future and about the training she would have; unfortunately, her training would not be in England; according to her uncle Alphard, they would have to travel to Russia, where the red room was supposed to be located.

She already knew what she was up against, she accepted it, knowing that she had to become unstoppable and unbreakable to protect her family and maintain her legacy. However, Harry did not react well and refused to leave her side for a whole week until it was time to let go.

- "Do you really have to go?" - Asked the boy, his eyes glazed over.

- "Yes, I'm sorry, Harry. I know it's hard for you, but it's my duty, it's in my blood. Besides, I'll be back... This isn't a goodbye, little brother, it's see you next time..." - Adhara murmured, wiping the tears that were falling from Harry's face.

- "It's okay, I understand."

- "Don't worry, I'll write you every chance I get, I promise."

- "Promise for the pinky?" - Harry questioned, holding up his little finger.

- "I promise on the pinky." - She said, imitating his brother's gesture.

- "Ready Red?" - Alphard asked, interrupting the moment.

- "I am, I will miss you," - Adhara said, sadness reflected in her eyes.

- "We'll miss you too, daughter." - Regulus replied, trying not to cry. He had been raising this child for eight years, and now he had to be separated from her for three years.

She just looked at him, trying not to cry, before running into his arms and hugging him as tightly as she could. As she pulled away, she murmured - "I love you Daddy, I promise I'll come back stronger than ever".

Narcissa and Andromeda mimicked Regulus gesture and embraced her, showing their love. As they parted, they all began to recite the first Black rule.

- "Look arrogant..." - Narcissa began.

- "Ice Mask..." - Alphard followed.

- "Back straight..." - Andy continued.

- "If they don't know how you feel..." - Regulus followed.

- "They'll never find a way to screw you." - Adhara concluded, smiling wistfully.

- "Best of luck, Mistress Isa," - Kreacher murmured, wiping away his tears.

- "Thank you, Kreacher take care of the Blacks for me." - Adhara replied, bidding farewell to her faithful elf.

- "I will, don't worry, I won't let you down." - He assured the elf with a smile that looked more like a grimace.

The others smiled, Adhara hugged Harry for the last time of the day, and in the middle of the embrace, the chestnut whispered: - "Always and forever?"

- "Always and forever," - Adhara assured him with a smile.

Adhara took Alphard's hand, and both left the Black House without looking back and disappeared into an unknown place in Russia.

"Adhara Potter Black's training is about to begin."

One year later.

It had been a full year since Adhara and Alphard had arrived in Russia. Adhara had turned twelve, her training was quite heavy, and though she wouldn't admit it out loud, she missed her father and brother. However, she knew that the stronger she became, the easier it would be to keep her family safe.

- "Ready Adhara?" - Alphard questioned, snapping her out of her thoughts.

Adhara nodded and looked down at the table in the room which held three knives. Sighing, the redhead picked up a knife and looked at the dummy she was supposed to hit.

She stepped back, took a deep breath, picked up the knife, and threw it away. To the happiness of both of them, the knife hit a bull's eye. She repeated the action with the other two knives, getting the same results.

Alphard smiled, the training was progressing faster than planned. Adhara now spoke five languages: English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Parseltongue. The last one they preferred to keep secret for safety's sake, the only ones who knew it were himself and Regulus who had read Adhara's blood test. The redhead was proficient in Muggle weapons, including firearms, blades, bombs, and so on. And she was almost an expert in hand-to-hand combat.

Adhara knew that she would never have a normal life like the other muggle or pureblood girls, for while they played with dolls, she held weapons. Although the younger girl tried to stay positive and happy, she couldn't even grimace a smile as one of the rules of the organization stated; "If you do, someone will think you are weak and will find a way to wipe off your smile." Perhaps many may think this is an exaggeration but in a way they were right.

The only good thing was receiving letters from his brother telling her everything that was going on in England and at House Black. Harry also told her about how he was starting to make progress with his manners, and etiquette and how Regulus was missing her more and more. Adhara was happy to hear that her brother's magic was flowing and that he was already able to cast several spells.

Her aunt Narcissa wrote to her every week to keep her up to date with all the magical mystery happenings, she was glad to know that her godfather Sirius was close to getting a trial to prove he was innocent according to her uncle Alphard, Regulus was not resting because he was looking for enough evidence to get him out of Azkaban.

There was also Andromeda, who used to send her different books every week that she used to identify with or just travel to another reality that was magical to her, and it was ironic because she lived in a magical world.

Two years later.

Two long years had passed, but for Adhara, they had turned into centuries. She was still communicating with her family, and thanks to Merlin, everything was going well.

Regulus was about to get Sirius a trial; Andromeda opened a fashion shop; and Narcissa, well, she kept sending her books and chocolates.

Alphard had seen to it that she mastered everything from physics, math, language, and Muggle histories to keep her mind open. She also mastered magical subjects such as charms, astronomy, defense against the dark arts, potions, etc. Her aim was still impeccable, which was surprising because no matter how difficult the situation, she never missed a target.

The redhead still remembered when she fought her first mission in France.

Flashback

Alphard and Adhara walked through the floors of a luxurious mansion in Paris, to carry out the mission, both pretending to be father and daughter. As Alphard greeted the guests cordially, Adhara nodded politely, looking for the target.

They had come there because, according to confidential contacts, someone was stealing income from a very important Muggle family. Adhara's objective was to find out who he was and kill him.

After an hour neither found anything, however, the security alarm sounded loud, which caused them both to grab their weapons. Three people dressed in black, all of whom were carrying guns, advanced towards them. The redhead grabbed her gun and began firing, Alphard mimicked her action, and minutes later they were both in hand-to-hand combat with their attackers.

Despite being small, Adhara was strong and with one kick, her opponent was on the ground, writhing in pain. She looked at her uncle, who seemed to have everything under control, and then the green-eyed girl made a tough decision. The redhead pulled her knife out of the side of her dress, looked at the man who had attacked her, and threw the knife hard. She had never killed anyone before, but if she wanted to be a double agent and a good leader, she had to take that step.

The next thing that happened made her uncle freeze, the knife struck the attacker square in the heart, killing him in the process. The other man turned around, ready to kill her, but she was quicker and pointed her gun at him, shooting him in the second man's head.

Alphard looked at her with pride, Adhara felt she would vomit but forced herself to control herself.

- "Congratulations, Red, first mission was accomplished," - Alphard said, hiding a smile.

- "Believe me, uncle, this is just the beginning, I'll become so strong that even Voldemort won't be able to finish me off," - She replied confidently.

Alphard shook his head in amusement, his niece was indeed one of a kind.

To finish the mission, Alphard hacked into the network to erase the security camera tapes. A few minutes later, the police sirens soon sounded. They both erased their tracks and disappeared from the scene, but not before leaving a mark in the sky—more specifically, a mark in the shape of a sword with a snake coiled in it and a red rose on top of it. And the day was just beginning.

Of course, no one knew that the

"The reign of the Red Queen has just begun."
