Chapter 10 Undercurrent

With the slash, they finally succeeded in getting away from the T-1000 for a while. Right now they drive to Pescadero Mental Hospital to get Sarah Connor out.

Most kids would think it was cool to see a sword slash that strong. Leon just stays silent, Tsunade appears uninterested, and Kate now sleeps in the back.

They arrived in the Mental Hospital in less than an hour.

"Ask the receptionist, where is my mother!" Leon order T-800.

The robots quickly go to the receptionist place and aim his gun.

"Where is Sarah Connor?" he asked.

The male receptionist was shaken, he answered quickly.

"In Dr Silberman chamber"

"Damn, that kid is ruthless" says Shi Mingdong.

Sarah Connor was livid. He watches the news and goes ballistic trying to get out. Too bad she was still half sedated.

"The Terminator has come, don't you see the news. That thing shouldn't be human" she said as she was in a straight jacket.

"You are delusional. There are no future robots chasing after you" says Dr Silberman.

Sarah Connor just watch them coldly, she was preparing to escape just now after she saw the news. But somehow Dr. Silberman sedate her again.

Well at least until the wall where she was placed was broken. Her eyes goes wide, this time she thinks she would die, at least until she heard a voice.

"It's me mom. Don't worry. He is our allies. Future me reprogram him" he said.

Sarah just takes a deep breath. Dr. Silberman was surprised. A man break a concrete wall with ease.

Shi Mingdong slash the glass barrier, and knock out the hospital staff and nurse along the way. Others wait in the car outside.

Soon they drive into the night to the desert leaving the Pescadero Hospital uninterrupted with two cars. Shi Mingdon steals two other cars in the parking lot and leaves their van behind. Not too long after they left, a police car arrived, the T-1000 cops now walked to the hospital. In the morning some hospital staff and two female patients were found dead.

Sarah and Leon now sit behind T-800 and John , while the others are driving in the other car.

"Why are there two girls with you John?" she asked.

"Mother, meet your two future daughter in law. Carrie and Kate"

"John?"

"Well Carrie is adopted and living with me when the Terminator attacks our house. Kate here should be my supposed future wife and second in command of the Resistance. She is also a target" answer Leon. Sarah's eyes were twitching, his son became a playboy when she wasn't around.

Sarah just stayed silent for a while. For Leon this is quite a long day. If he wasn't warry over the so-called Dragon Group, he could have fought like usual.

"Why do you trust him, he is a Killer Robot, nothing good about him"

"Simple. He is a killer robot that does not try to kill me. A robot needs to be programmed to do something mother. If it was programmed to kill me, we are already dead by now"

"Enough. So why do you trust those Chinese group with unknown origin. And that robot could snap your neck anytime"

"So who do I need to depend on? You? Alone? Where did it end up? Mental Hospital? Just depend on yourself to resist Skynet? Judgement day is in 1997. What can you do in these three years? Even if we stop it now, at best we only stall it till 2004 or 2013" Leon snarls to Sarah.

"What do you mean?" ask Sarah.

"Skynet would just send Robots through its Time Machine just to fix the timeline each time the timeline changes. We need more allies, mother, we need to fight Skynet in its battleground, the future. And right now we are not ready at all. Each time we defeated him, it sends its agents to the past to fix it"

Sarah sighs.

"So where should we go from here?" asked Tsunade.

"Miles Dyson and his family, we tell him the truth, ask his help to destroy the Cyberdyne lab to halt their progress, after that we must get out of this country" Leon said.

"What?" ask Sarah.

"Miles Dyson is the current head programmer for Cyberdyne, he is the one that makes the Skynet" answer T-800

"Why? We should kill him to prevent Skynet" say Sarah

"Killing him is a futile attempt. Cyberdyne has probably created a copy of the chip from the past Terminator. Even if we succeed to kill him, Skynet would just send another robot to replace him. It would be much better to just kidnap him and ask for his cooperation" answer Leon with a smirk.

Meanwhile somewhere else.

"Governor. I ask you to send the National Guard to LA. We are outgunned over here" say LAPD Police Chief as he lies on the Hospital bed, calling through the Phone to the Governor. That day he was very lucky as the car he was on crashed.

"I am sorry, but I have read your report, but sending National Guard is already overrated"

"Why is it unnecessary? My Police Force is wrecked, we lost so many patrol cars that we can't send people out. More than half of my officers are in the hospital. We can't afford to deal with these terrorists. They have EMP for god's sake, they are heavily armed" he screamed to the Governor.

"They probably only have one EMP bomb. Beside the damage are limited. I still can't order the National Guard to be send to you" as the Governor close the calls.

The governor now watch the video feed.

"EMP Bomb, and that bulletproof ironman, are you telling me to shut up watching they make a mess in my state just because a scrap of paper from Department of Defense?"

A woman in military uniform sitting in front of the governor just smile. The Governor was already out of his patience, he almost explode.

"Not only you, the FBI, all related agency already get this paper" she said with a smile.

"And you expect me to not do anything at all?"

"This EMP Bomb, the Ironman, is all related to a Department of Defense project" she said.

"You….." the governor try to hold his anger, then he slump on the chair feeling weary.

"Don't worry. For this problem we already order Cyberdyne Security to clean it up" say the woman as she walks out of the office.

"Those Cyberdyne fellows have gone too far" says Jack Lindstorm, the current Anti Terrorist Head Bureau as he smashes his desk.

"They think we are idiots," says an agent, Hayden.

"They totally tied our hand with order from DOD"

"You think we could find some cover to investigate?"

"Well we could have said it was a coincidence as we are sending people there. Doesn't LA have some Gang murders these past months?"

"Yeah, we already sent some agent to check on those cases"

"Hmm, add me and Ellison on the case. We could also check out those Terrorist issue while we were there"

"Sorry Savannah, mother can't have dinner with you tonight" In a high rise building a beautiful woman with red hair is calling her daughter at home. She seems like a goddess as she watches from a high rise building.

"There are things that mothers need to deal with. Little Savannah knows that right?" in front of her TV plays the News about the shootout on Sunset boulevard.

"Yeah big things. Don't worry" the woman walks over a corner seeing a family picture.

"I know, but there are a lot of things that I must deal with. I promise I would make up for today"

"Yeah, I love you too. After this thing was over we would go to Disneyland" as she cleans her hands from blood in a towel.

The woman moves her hands over the nameplate, Catherine Weaver, behind her a symbol of Z. Not too far lies the corpse of a man with his face full of fear and a bloody wound on his head.

Right now they are resting in a farmhouse. Leon is finally able to tell his motley clan back home in the hideout to stay hidden using a hidden landline. With all the training he has given for a few months, those kids would be fine for a few days until he could regroup with them.

Meanwhile Shi Mingdong, Ling Fei, and some others are gathering outside.

"He hasn't trust us yet" say Ling Fei.

"Yeah, I don't think this John Connor is as naive as his counterpart in Terminator 2" say He Zhaoling.

"I wonder why, but I think I have seen that little girl with him somewhere" say Xie Laosan.

"Where?"

"Can't remember"

"I think we need to think other way to finish our mission"

"Yeah our first Quest to find John Connor has succeed. Second Quest to take him and Sarah Connor out also succeed. Now they decide to bring Miles Dyson in the know"

"I think this John Connor are much smarter and more dangerous than the original"
