Flight Testing

(Short Chapter)

The next day, John worked with Jarvis and Alice, along with his clones, for several hours to code his new program. As the completion of the mech was right around the corner, he wanted to get a feel of how the mech is supposed to work. It wouldn't be perfect but it would give him some preparation for piloting it manually. Viviane occasionally would bring down food and coffee for him as he worked.

{Several weeks later}

The mech was finally completed and John had learned how to manually pilot the mech without a problem.

"Going out?" Viviane asked

"I'll be back in a few hours" John clasped his hands on her face and kissed her

"Be careful" Viviane hugged him tightly, knowing that she wouldn't be able to stop him from taking risks

"I know" John smiled

John walked downstairs and made his way to the launch pad.

"Is everything ready?" John asked

"Everything is ready and good to go," Jarvis said as he made the final checks

He climbed into the chest of the sleeping giant and started up the systems.

[Powering up]

[10%]

[90%]

[Undergoing final system checks and updates]

[Scanning]

[No problems detected]

[Initializing neuro interface]

[Running final checks on sensors]

[No problems detected]

[Rebooting...]

The black screen melted away as he sat inside the cockpit. He could see everything outside clearly. He made small movements like moving its fingers and hands before getting the 33ft tall giant to stand up. It's like playing with a videogame as he had a keyboard and a Joystick in front of him.

"Jarvis open the hatch" John ordered

Alarms rang as the hatch above him opened up. Outside, the grass in his backyard split apart and moved to the side as a large hole allowed him to fly into the clouds above.

John typed in a few commands and pressed enter

[Activating thrusters at 25% capaccity]

fwoooom

The thrusters under his feet and hands allowed the giant to float several meters above the ground.

[Cloak activated]

[Wings deployed]

The entire mech became invisible within two seconds and John piloted the mech into the horizon. John felt the gravity trying to pull his body down but he already expected this so he activated anti-gravity within the cockpit.

[Activating Anti-gravity]

He got the hang of it as he flew towards his base in Antarctica at the speed of Mach 3. As he landed, he activated the Neuro link between him and the mech.

John's vision became blurry and he soon found himself looking at the mounds of snow and ice around him. He looked at his hands and sure enough, he is now controlling the mech.

Excited, he began to test out all the functions of the mech. He found that as long as he thinks of an order to it, the mech would operate according to his thoughts. He released a quick punch before following it up with an uppercut and jabbing down with his elbow, so random movements before trying out this new body with combat techniques. He began to think of creative ideas about using his thrusters to incorporate with his hand-to-hand combat techniques. Sadly, there is a limit on how fast and how flexible the mech is. His next goal is to increase the mech's speed and flexibility of its joints.

John played around with multiple weapon systems added into the mech. A prototype gravity sling was created but the weapon would malfunction every now and then. It's not reliable for the most part. There were quite a few rockets and missile pods around the body. Transformium from the previous Decepticon hunt and those traded from the U.S. military allowed him to create hidden Energon weapons. Transformium would extend from the arm to create a replacement or a hand cannon.

Next, he used his hidden blades, hidden within his arms. He swung it around a couple of times, but as he never learned kendo or any sword-related martial arts, he closed his eyes to imagine a scenario of him using his swords. The movement of his sword was strange and not quite where he wanted it to be. It's no good. He proceeded to give himself a mental note to take lessons on cold weapons.

As he finished up with practicing and making mental notes of what to improve and what to further test out in actual combat, John flew home excitedly to jot down more notes and plans.

[Powering down]

As soon as he powered down his mech, he ran to the nearest table and started to write down every single idea that came into his mind.

As he recently controlled several southeastern countries' military and political power, John set his sights on New Zealand, Singapore, Korea, Japan, and the UK.

He planned on completely controlling the scene behind Southeast Asia before extending his hand into the middle east. New Zealand seemed to be a nice place to settle down in and he was in no hurry to control the place. But, it all depends on what Viviane thinks, he doesn't mind if they would stay here in America.

He also planned to transport the VR equipment to his base in Antarctica so that his men could have their fun inside as they waited for a mission. It would also be good training equipment for them. As he wrote down his plans and notes, he came up with new ones. He finished writing all of them out just in time for dinner
