The knight continued its barrage of attacks when suddenly something attacked it from behind.
It was caught off guard with the sudden attack while it was still attacking me resulting in it getting hit.
The attack seemed to do a decent amount of damage. Despite it not looking fatal it could still slow his movement.
Using this as an opportunity I attacked but was once again blocked by the knight.
This continued for a few minutes but I was slowly losing my stamina. Gob couldn't help too much except for the odd attack but the mage was a lot more helpful during the fight.
Even if it can't do much damage it is still a good distraction when I'm fighting it giving me more opportunities.
Despite fighting in a three on one situation was still fighting us with equal strength.
"Tch, figures they were the same strength." I based the knights strength off of the mage which led to me underestimating it and getting injured.
I looked at the wound on my stomach and sighed. "Tis but a flesh wound" I momentarily let my guard down and the knight instantly used it as an opportunity to attack me.
The pain was manageable as I was starting to get used to it but it was still painful.
I ran back towards the knight and swung the blade in my right hand in a big arc towards the area between the knights neck and shoulder.
As I expected it was blocked to which I quickly swung my left leg towards the knights stomach.
It manages to move away last second but this resulted in it grazing another one of the fireballs which is also one of the reasons I've been able to fight evenly with it all this time.
I ordered Gob who was the closest to attack the zombie knight. It stumbled slightly before raising its arms high in the air bringing down its blade in a frightening manner.
The knight was able to block it fairly easily and even countered getting ready to attack Gob.
I knew that Gob was a seriously injured anyway so I decided to let the knight attack it and hope it doesn't die while using that as an opportunity to attack it.
I ran towards the knight once again and started attacking again but I was using more strength then before so they weren't as easy to block compared to my attacks from before.
This continued for another few minutes until I noticed I didn't have the advantage as the fatigue was starting to take its toll on me.
I bit my tongue to make myself focus and think of a plan. After another minute I had a plan but was also very risky.
It basically consisted of me creating a fake opening so that once it attacks me I can counter attack.
As we continued fighting I made a few mistakes purposefully so that the knight will attack but surprisingly the knight managed to attack at a speed so fast I could barely react while aiming for my heart.
Because of my enhanced senses I was able to see it more clearly but I couldn't dodge so I had to try get hit in a less fatal spot.
Using my dagger I somehow managed to redirect the attack letting it hit me in the stomach.
The blade went through my skin and pierced my stomach making me grunt in pain.
"Ugh..damn it hurts" I have experienced a lot of different injuries recently but I can assure you it's not a very nice experience to get stabbed in the stomach.
I gritted my teeth as I grabbed the blade but instead of pulling it out I held it in place so the zombie can't pull it out.
Knowing that this was my only chance I knew I couldn't miss it so while holding the blade with my left hand to the point that blood was flowing out I ordered the zombie mage to attack.
I couldn't attack very easily considering the position I'm in and I didn't want to risk injuring any organs by moving my body to attack.
I tried the only thing I could really do considering my position so I decided to throw my dagger before the knight could either let go of the blade or managed to pull it back.
Because the knight was just hit by the fireball it took an extra moment to react which caused it to be hit by the dagger right through its right eye.
The knight stumbled backwards because of the sudden attack releasing its grip from the blade.
I stepped back slightly and was about to pull the blade out when I changed my mind and left it in unless I really needed to remove it.
If I pulled the blade from my stomach than I would lose an unnecessary amount of blood which would cause serious problems.
I ordered my summons to continue fighting. My mage continued to shoot fireballs while Gob used its only remaining arm to swing its blade at the knight. The blade was about to reach the knight when it suddenly dodged to the right and raised its arms in a way a boxer would to defend and attack.
Gob got annoyed that it dodged so it swung at it again but this time the k isn't moved towards the blade before dodging swiftly to the side while bobbing up and down.
It was close enough to hit the hobgoblin when it started jabbing at its face while incorporating a right hook into it.
I was shocked while watching this. It was almost like that zombie was a fully trained veteran. I quickly told Gob to try disrupt its combos by trying to grab it.
Seeing what was happening the zombie threw one last uppercut before getting away from the attack.
The hobgoblin was throwing backwards from the sheer force of the attack. Although it looked like this fight was going in the knights direction just doing those attacks worsened its injuries.
The knight was hit by a smaller sized fireball from the mage again which once again caught it off guard but dealt little to no damage. Getting annoyed by the constant attacks of the mage the knight sprinted towards it to try finish it off.
I smirked slightly once I saw this while ordering my mage to cast another large fireball not at the knight but instead it was aimed at the ground. The attack made lots of dust and smoke rise obstructing the vision of the knight.
The knight tried to listen for any noise when it heard steps ahead of it. Thinking it was the mage it leapt forward getting ready to punch it but when his punch was about to land it saw that it was actually the hobgoblin it attacked earlier which looked extremely angry.
The knight didn't have any chance to stop its attack so once the punch connected Gob instantly grabbed its arm and pulled it closer to itself like a bear hug with its remaining arm.
The knight suddenly heard something behind it and just as it turned its head it was already to late as it felt something pierce its chest.
It looked down to see what injured it when it noticed there was a sword was piercing it's chest, no it's own sword was piercing it's chest. It tried a last ditch attack with hope it would connect but when it was a few centimetres from hitting the wielders face when it suddenly stopped.

As I watched the fight I realised we would probably lose unless we could catch the knight in a trap.
I knew Gob wouldn't have been able to restrain it the first time but I still ordered it to try I also knew that I needed the knight to think that gob was out of the fight so it wouldn't suspect that it switched places with the zombie mage.
I ordered the zombie mage to attack with a small fireball to grab the knights attention and to save mana for the next attack I ordered the mage to make the next attack much larger than the one before it causing more dust and smoke to rise.
Then once Gob and the mage switched places I pulled out the blade and instantly ran to where the knight was and stabbed it in the chest.
I noticed that it was trying one last attack which I probably wouldn't have got up from. I used every bit of strength I had left to swing the blade upwards cutting through its body.
"Wow, this blade is sharp" I thought before slowly losing my consciousness.
"Aw shiieeettt, that's not good" I hurriedly searched for the magical core that belonged to the knight which I managed to find after a few seconds. I held it close to my chest and tried to absorb it and while thinking this I lost consciousness.
Thought I’d make this chapter a bit longer as a thank you for all the support I’ve been getting regarding the book. (Not much longer but hey better than nothing)
So what do you think will happen next.
a) The zombie king will viciously murder our hero
b) Our hero will be saved by the god
c) Our hero will die and meet the gods this reincarnating again.
d) The zombie king actually swings that way (if you know what I mean *wink wink) and keeps our hero as a pet.
