I placed the magical core in my pocket and held the fang that used to belong to the boss monster.

Just as I was leaving I saw a few chips in the fang I was currently using and decided to take a new one from the boss.

This fang was a lot sharper and it was slightly longer as well.

I put the dagger away and took the magical core back out from my pocket and stared at it.

I noticed that during all these fights I heavily relied on my summon which was problematic once I had to fight on my own.

I made up my mind. I was planning on absorbing it. I held it in my hand and relaxed. After a few seconds that same addictive feeling of power running through you came but a lot stronger this time.

I felt as if I was breaking past some sort of limit that was placed on me and suddenly everything seemed clear.

I could hear water dripping 10 metres away as if it was right beside me, I could see all the different patterns on the walls in clear detail several metres ahead of me.

I was started at this sudden change but quickly calmed myself.

"Is this the effect of using that magical core?" I was amazed at how much it affected me.

I continued walking getting used to this feeling. I already looked at my weapon and used the crystal.

I went to check that note book was still in my pocket. I held it up examining it to see if it was damaged during the fights.

I flicked through the pages when I suddenly noticed that a page that used to be blank was filled in.

I was confused for a moment but suddenly I realised something. The actual book was the gift.

"This will be helpful if I gain a skill and I don't know what it does."

I left the gate and I noticed it was nearly morning. I looked at my clothes only to see barely any clothes left.

Nearly all of my shirt was torn apart or dyed in blood and my jeans also had several claws marks.

Despite there being so much blood on me the majority of my wounds were starting to heal while the rest of the the blood came from the monsters.

I let out a sigh. I overestimated myself. If it wasn't for my summon I would've had difficulty even defeating a second monster in that gate.

I figured if I were to fight them again I could probably take them out without too much effort with my current strength.

This made my blood boil. I instantly wanted to go into another gate and see if I got stronger but then I felt my exhaustion hit me like a truck-kun never did.

"I'll do that later...sleep first" I moaned while trying to walk back to my house.

I arrived home and I entered my house as quietly as possible. I was about to enter my room when I looked at my clothes and all the blood stains.

"Crap" I said under my breath as I started walking towards the bathroom.

I quickly showered to get rid of all the blood. When I was showering the hot water was making all my wounds sting.

After around half an hour I finally left for fear of I stayed in any longer someone might wake up.

Just as I finished drying myself with a towel I realised that I forgot to bring any clothes in with me.

"Shoot" I said while looking around the room for anything.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I had the same black hair my brother has.

I had a slender body but you could easily see muscles from all the different sports I've done.

My face was like my brothers but was sharper and a bit better looking while eyes were a dark colour.

I wrapped the towel around my hip and left the bathroom heading towards my room.

I was sitting in class, well sleeping I should say when I was suddenly woken up.

I was wearing my school uniform which consisted of a white shirt black trousers and a black tie I was also wearing a hoodie over this.

The reason I woke up was because of all the noise my classmates were making.

"Oh my god!" One male student said.

"What are they?" Another female student muttered.

I rubbed my eyes and stared out the window to where they were all pointing.

What I saw were around ten goblin creatures that were around 1 metre in height roaming around the streets.

I immediately realised what happened, it was a dungeon break which means that if the dungeon isn't beaten after seven days then the monsters inside can get out.

I put my hand into my bag and felt the fang I took last night. I bought it with me because I didn't want anyone finding it and getting suspicious.

I hid the fang in one of my pockets and left the classroom while everyone was panicking.

I put my hood up as an attempt to not get people to see who I am as I got closer to the goblins.

I wasn't going to be like some main character from Webnovels I used to read who confronts the enemy head on or anything.

I picked up a rock and threw it behind the group of monsters. When they heard the noise the started running towards it.

I followed behind them while gripping the fang tightly. I leapt out at an impressive speed and was able to kill two of the goblins in a second.

I stabbed one in the back while I snapped the other ones neck.

I quickly retreated doing this same method a few times until they caught on.

I knew I couldn't trick them anymore so I waited a few minutes before pouncing in to kill them.

I was slightly out of breath but this time I only got a few tiny cuts. I was able to avoid too much injuries mainly because of the skill I just got.

Though I'm not really used to the change it is certainly helpful when fighting. Another factor was my speed, after using all of the wolves and dog monsters magical cores my speed was dramatically increased making it easy to dodge their attacks.

When I finished taking the last magical core from the monster I noticed a crowd gathered around me.

I could hear them talk about different things.

"How did he do that?" One person shouted.

"He was pretty hot." Another woman said.

"Is that a school uniform?" One older man asked.

"I'm not sure his hoodie is blocking it." A younger man responded.

Just as I was about to start absorbing the crystals I stopped myself as I noticed some people had phones out recording me.

I heard a scream close by so I could guess that's where the rest of the monster were.

I started running at a fast speed to try get away from the crowd and towards the scream.
