Disaster

'Let's try that technique.'

Standing up from the bed I walk out of my room.

Heading towards the small forest behind our house sprinting until coming to a stop in a clearing among the trees I look down towards my hands I prepare myself to activate the technique according to the stone tablet.

I create a small wound on my wrist and drawing a stream of my blood to rise into the air controlling it to float in the air with my command over blood.

After letting out a large amount of my blood I stop the flow after feeling my body weaken and saying the words for it to work I fall onto my knees in excruciating pain and spitting out some blood from a piece of my soul being torn out.

'That fucking hurt.'

I think while panting I look up at the blood which is now swirling like a vortex as it collects into a large sphere in the centre before speeding off through the air out of my sight.

'Wait... why is it going towards the direction of my house I didn't give it any orders?'

In my weakened state I leap after it, I am much slower after losing so much blood, but I try my best to catch after my precious blood servant that has a piece of my soul.

EEEK!

When I reach the house I hear a loud scream travels through the air that sounded like my sister.

'Not good...'

I push open the door sprint through the house jumping off walls and leaping to the top of the stairs towards the sound.

I see my sister retreating from our parents doorway paralyzed in shock and fear.

I push past her through the door to see the source of her fear.

A naked girl covered from head to toe in blood stains stands perfectly still in the middle of the room staring straight at me.

She looks to be around my age with white hair reaching to her back her pale white skin like porcelain and her eyes a deep alluring crimson that fades off into black as it reaches her pupils.

'Vampire eyes... just like mine.'

"Hikari go downstairs and contact the police."

I say out loud Hikari hears my words but hesitates to leave me alone with the one who just killed our parents.

She only makes a quarter of the way before calling back...

"S-Saito... b- but she-"

I cut her off by saying.

"I'll be fine, don't worry. Just go."

Walking away from the fresh corpse at her feet the girl walks towards me while looking at me with a warm smile and hugs me covering me in still warm blood.

"Master..." The girl says still hugging me.

'This has to be the blood servant I created...' I think to myself after hearing that single word.

Seeing how she treats me I dispell my idea to destroy the blood servant.

I look infront of me to the two motionless bodies I once called my parents then say to the girl...

"Why did you drink their blood?"

She looks up at my face locking eyes with me before saying...

"Master... I was thirsty... not enough... blood."

She says in an apologetic tone.

Hearing her gentle voice I start to process the situation.

I think I understand why this happened.

The blood that was provided by me wasn't enough after all I am still just a kid I don't have that much blood in this small body.

'Though she would have probably gotten enough blood from just one of my parents she still drained both of them... I guess she inherited my strong desire for blood.'

Bringing myself out of my thoughts I tell her...

"Can you hide?"

I say this knowing that after she killed my parents the police will definitely look for her she needs to stay somewhere till this whole thing blows over.

"Mn..." The girl says while giving a nod before grabbing my arm by the wrist and biting it.

I don't feel any pain but just a warm sensation flood over my body confirming in my mind that she must also have the same saliva as I do.

I then watch as her body turns a dark red and she transforms into blood form before entering the wound she created on my wrist in a stream of blood I can feel my body fill up with blood once more until she finally vanishes into my bloodstream.

'What a useful ability.' I think to myself.

Looking at the wound close I turn my attention to the blood on my clothes and use my power to command blood to take it off my clothes and back on the floor before turning around and walking out.

'Hikari isn't there?'

I think inwardly after seeing her gone from where she was standing earlier I hear footsteps downstairs and a muffled voice I strain my vampire senses to listen to the voice.

"Y-Yes the address is... yes that's right."

I hear Hikari on the phone to the police.

'So she decided to trust me? or did she only leave after seeing my blood servant didn't harm me?'

I walk downstairs startling Hikari who calms down after seeing that it's just me.

'Now how am I going to deal with this?'

I think while drawing a plan in my mind.

'The best solution would be to wait out the police investigation while keeping the girl hidden until it all blows over as just another unsolved murder.'

This is a world where a monster rampaging in the city would be classed as a low level threat and probably would lose it's place on the news to some scandal about a hero.

'Yeah this isn't anything too bad I'm more worried about Hikari spilling my secrets.'

—(4 Hours later)—

"Sir... I don't see any visible wounds on the bodies despite all this blood everywhere." Said one of the crime scene unit members.

"Don't mind it. The bodies will be sent to autopsy we may discover something then."

Replied a man in a gruff tone while looking at the bodies in question.

'If the autopsy doesn't come up with anything then we can probably assume it's related to some unique mage ability.'

The man thought while smilling inwardly at the fact that if that happened he could transfer the case to someone else so he naturally wouldn't need to do the boring paperwork for it either and knowing that two powerful mages died somebody would take this case off him.

'Together with the fact we couldn't find any signs of a break in or any trace of the suspect described.'

"Keep up the search look for any traces of mana if the attacker was a mage they might have activated their ability."

Hopefully this won't take too long the man before leaving the room.

'Those unfortunate kids...'

Thought the man.

'Losing their parents at such a young age.'

Shaking his head the man walked off into the night.
