Family Reunion

The girl spits out her name still in fear and shock.

I close my eyes and deactivate my sharingan but kept my red vampire sight.

I have made my first mistake in this world

'That's my adopted sister.'

I can't do anything to her while I am in such a public place and my parents are on their way any minute now.

My vampire gaze won't work on her since she is afraid of me she has subconciously put up mental defenses against me my gaze only works on those close to me who trust me to a decent degree.

Thinking back to this bodies past I collect information on my new personality that will replicate this bodies previous owner so that even his own parents won't realise the difference.

"What did you see?" I ask while my eyes were still closed in thought.

"Y-Your eyes... they were re-"

I cut her off before she can finish what she is saying and while opening my eyes revealing my vampire eyes to intimidate her I say bluntly.

"You saw nothing."

My dear sister takes too long to reply so I say...

"Understood?" In an even harsher tone she quickly nods multiple times just to make sure I know that she understands.

Knock Knock Knock

"You have two visitors mister Saito are you ready to accept them?"

I blink to turn off my vampire eyes returning them to a clear crystal blue while getting back into my bed and then I say...

"Please let them in."

The door opens and a well dressed clearly prominent couple walk in and then after seeing me they smile before walking up to my bed.

Suddenly hugging me was my mother while my father stood where he was giving a smile.

"Saito! My baby I missed you for so long you finally came back to us." My mother says while on the verge of tears.

"I missed you too mom... Dad." I produce a sad expression and force out a tear for effect.

"Don't cry Saito mommy is here." Mother reassures me.

After the pretending to give a shit about this couple they finally notice Hikari on the other side of the room and my mother says...

"Hikari! aren't you gonna welcome back your older brother?"

"Even though you ran ahead of us..." My father shakes his head with a ironic smile.

"W-Welcome B-back Saito." She stutters while avoiding eye contact with me.

"Thanks for the warm welcome Hikari." I give a gentle smile just like the old owner of this body making my mother and father emotional while my 'sister' is speechless at how quickly my personality changed unfortunately my mother says next...

"Hikari come give your older brother a hug."

Hikari looks at my parents before hesitantly walking over to me and giving a hover-hug that avoids touching me seeing this I hug her and bring her close and whisper in her ear so that my parents can't hear me.

"Remember what I said my dear little sister."

She then shrinks into her scarf and nods slightly on my shoulder I feel her nod and let her go and then she retreats some distance from my bed.

I then say "It seems she is a little shy meeting me for the first time." while scratching the back of my head and smiling slightly.

My mother comes close to me and whispers so only I can hear "Don't worry she was shy when we first adopted her aswell."

'I'm guessing Hikari doesn't know that she is adopted yet afterall she looks as if she was my blood sister this is valuable information if I am going to control her from spilling info about me.'

Then me and my mother both turn toward the girl in question.

—(Timeskip 2 weeks)—

It's been two full weeks since I started living with the Ayami family and I have to say the house is impressive mages have it real easy in life my room is as large as any high class hotel and fully furnished this house has 3 floors + two auxillary buildings namely the indoor swimming pool and the guest house yes not guest room but guest HOUSE.

My 'parents' aren't home most of the time so me and Hikari are alone in the house most days of the week our parents are busy with their jobs located in the capital so they stay and live there to work. Our father is a high ranking official in the Hero Agency while our mother runs a successful company.

Right now I am walking with soft almost inaudible steps instinctually because of my vampire bloodline where am I heading? To Hikari's room.

My thirst for blood has been itching in the back of my head more and more the longer I don't drink it.

Now my body is starting to feel weaker everyday I endure it but finally today my parents left back to the capital after staying to help me adapt to life here.

I can finally break my fast with the blood I can't live without.

I plan to use Hikari to satisfy my urge for blood but only drinking small amounts because her body needs time to make more I can survive on small amounts it was one of the experiments back at the devils workshop to test the minimum blood I could drink to be sustainable but I don't plan on drinking little amounts for long its like being given a fresh coke taking one sip and then throwing it away.

I stop at her door silently and heighten my hearing to listen to what she is doing.

I can hear tapping that I recognize from when she is texting on her phone.

I smile and then quickly fix my mask into Saito and open her door and walk in.

"S-Saito? What are you doing in my r-room?"

I ignore what she said and walk calmy towards her until I am near her she moves back away from me and I move closer until her back is flat on the bed with me sitting over her then I say...

"It doesn't matter what I am doing in your room now stay still."

Hikari nervous of what I am going to do watches as I turn her face to the side exposing her neck using the blood technique I reduce the potency of my saliva to a minimum and then my fangs extend and I sink my teeth into her neck.

Startled at the sensation Hikari trembles as a warm sensation runs through her as sink my fangs deeper she trembles.

Her blood is the best blood I have tasted yet even making my mind go blank for a second to think I once wanted to kill her and I didn't even use 90% of my saliva or would tast- wait I must control myself I will wait until she is older she will probably be my main supply of blood but for now I need to formulate a plan to make her dance within my palm.

Some short time later I pull out my fangs and watch the neck wound close up as if it was never there another boon of the vampire race.

I then stand up and say "Don't tell this to anyone." and I walk out of the room not looking back at Hikari who is lying down on her bed disheveled and breathing hard with a suprised look in her eyes.

'It didn't hurt...'

While laying on my bed and browsing the internet of this world I think to myself.

'I am too weak right now.'

My next goal is to train but that will take time I smile as a picture of a girl my age comes up it is the daughter of the second strongest hero God of mages Shiro I browse the Hero Academy website as I look forward to the day I enroll into Hero Academy.

Just being strong is not enough in this world with overpowered Heros I can't do it alone either.

A certain blood technique that has been stuck in my head since it first got in my head comes to mind.
