CHAPTER 23

"Intern Calista,The MD wishes to see you in her office,one of the nurses came to tell her as she was taking her rounds.Calista was scared,she didn't know why miss Brenda asked to see her,she had made sure she didn't make any mistake after the other incident and she had been avoiding Mr Xander whenever he came to the hospital to pick his sister for lunch.

She did not know why but she had been having dreams about she and Mr Xander but the dream was always about him taking her to the police station for breaking his phone.

At a point she had to take a de-turn when she saw him coming and that day because of him she had lost her free lunch,she had to spend our of the money she was saving to get lunch.

Xander did not know why but Calista was avoiding him,anytime he tried to see or talk to her,it was as if she wasn't even in the hospital.

There was a day he saw her coming,as he was walking towards her,he saw her put her phone in her ear and turned left,when he got to the turning he didn't see her again,

He had to ask Brenda for help,it wasn't even for free,oh how he hated asking Brenda for help because she was always collecting something in return and all the things she was always asking him to do were weird things.Today he was going to wait for her in Brenda's office,he wanted to know why she was avoiding him.

Knock,knock, There was a knock on Brenda's door,"Come in,he said.

Calista was shocked when she got into the office,she was expecting to see Brenda but she saw Xander instead,she knew there was no running place for her again,she quickly got down on her knees "please sir don't take me to the police station,I will work hard to buy your phone for you,just give me some time" she said crying.

Xander couldn't control his laughter,now he knew why she was avoiding him,she thought he was going to get her arrested."please get up, nobody is taking you to the police station,I already got a new phone and all my files have been transferred, nothing is missing so why should I take you to the police station,is that why you have been running away from me or my sister?,he asked.

Calista couldn't deny or refute the question,she just kept on looking at him."anyways I came to take you out for lunch and I have asked for permission on your behalf,so please go and get changed and meet me in the car park and don't think of running away otherwise I will have to call the police,Xander said and left the office and went to his car.

Brenda was waiting for Xander outside her office,she couldn't help but notice the big smile on his face,she wanted to taunt and make fun of him but she changed her mind,she knew her brother was nervous,this was the first her brother was falling in love,she could only give him support now and cheer him up to boost his morale.

" You can do this big brother,just go with the flow,the same way you did with me when we first met,Brenda said as she gave him a big hug and saw him off to his car.

Xander couldn't ask for more,he was happy that he was given the best sister anyone could ask for,he was only praying that his love life was also a success.
